Everything felt accessible; communicating with Katie felt like chatting with an old friend, the recipes were as realistic as they were delicious -- meaning, we'll actually make them on a weeknight since they don't take hours to prep/use obscure ingredients -- and there was nothing stuffy or transactional about having a professional chef teach a class in our home. No doubt, Katie is as professional as they come. What's more, though, is she is a genuinely good human and a joy to be around. Pha Le comes to my house every Tuesday, does all the grocery shopping, all the cooking, all the cleanup, and portions out all my meals. She has learned my favorites types of meat, favorites types of seasonings, and the perfect portion sizes. It's been a while so I picked my favorites- the sweet jerky meal, the pork noodles and the monthly special. As always it is fabulous.
