Nancy M is the queen of all things cookies and she is kind enough to make them for us every year to enjoy at our annual holiday party. Hers are truly the best but I was really liking the uniquely designed cookies on the site and I decided to give them a try. If your a part of our Fort Lauderdale Yelp community then you know about Pinky, our beautiful pink flamingo~she's sorta like our community mascot. So when I found the pink flamingo cookies that just sealed the deal for me. Nancy, I hope you had a good birthday and you & your dad liked them. I was surprised by a delivery today on my birthday from Cookies By Design. I have never heard of the store but now that I have when I have a special occasion I want to remember I will be calling upon them! I went to the website and took a look at the company that specializes in cookie gift baskets. The basket I received was 5 pink flamingos and a cookie saying Happy Birthday Nancy on it! What a great hot pink masterpiece! I looked at the card and they were from Yelper Britt Z! Brit was my first yelp friend when I joined nearly 7 years ago. What a wonderful surprise!! My take on the cookie itself: I found it to be rather THICK..it had a great taste and was very fresh but the thickness threw me a little bit. Possibly they have to be that thick to hold the frosting design! The frosting was not overpowering it was just the thickness that got me. The arrangement sat in a basket type container with huge flamingos propped on sticks and a great square gift box looking cookie with the birthday sentiments written in script on it! Would I use Cookies by Design for one of my friends ...sure I would. I thought the design was creative and loved the freshness of the cookies! I would recommend Cookies by Design to anyone who wants to send an any occasion cookie gift basket. Guaranteed whoever receives one will love it like I did! Have been shopping there for years. My experience this time was terrible. Ordered a college logo cookie a week in advance. Went to pick it up ,cookie wasn't ready. Apparently the logo needed to be printed. This was done when I got there for pickup. Was handed the cookie on a paper plate and was told it was still wet. read more

The Coral Springs store goes over and beyond your expectations, ensuring that every delivery is done to perfection. I ordered a cookie bouquet, with a balloon, to be delivered to a Boca Raton Production Theater, where a friend was celebrating her birthday and enjoying a play. The Theater accepted delivery, signed for it and then failed to deliver the cookies and balloon to my friend!! After many phone calls, the theater made all these wild claims about not understanding who the delivery was for, never called my friend after to apologize or to pick up the basket and never gave the basket back to me, my friend or Cookies by Design. Basically, this Costume Theater kept it for themselves and then were very rude when questioned about it! Nonetheless, at their own additional expense and time, the Owner of Cookies by Design, Coral Springs, prepared another cookie bouquet and delivered all of it herself, with additional cookies added and balloons, to my friend at her home! Cookies are pretty but take chalky. I just was able to use them as a centerpiece at my party. I really wish I would've just bought another cake because the person who made my cake was fabulous but I thought cookies would be a really good thing but they sure weren't like I remembered over eight years ago. I should've known better because I bought some as a gift for someone eight years ago and I remember them telling me that the cookies were not good. Every time I order from them the cookies are delicious and beautiful This last order, my clients called to tell me how much the delivery people went out of their way to deliver the order. When they were unsuccessful delivering the first time because the guard at the gate could not reach the homeowner to allow them in the gate, they came back out later that evening and again had trouble reaching the homeowner but was able to get in with the help of a neighbor and left it with the neighbor who then got it to my customers. My clients were so appreciative of the extent that the delivery people made in getting the basket to them. They called me and made a point of letting me know. Also they LOVED the cookies. I ordered two Disney themed cookie bouquets from them after learning about them through a Living Social promotion and they were great! I ordered them on Friday afternoon and they were ready by Saturday morning, just in time for the event I needed them for. They looked amazing and they tasted great too. Sure, they are pricey (the Living Social deal definitely helped), but you definitely get what you pay for. The bouquets are beautiful and carefully made and the cookies are fresh and tasty. Also, the receptionist at the store who took my order was very nice and friendly - she even gave me a box so that they wouldn't move a lot in my car. My review speaks for this store only (in Coral Springs), as I do not know how well other Cookies By Design stores are. Not really impressed with store #77. I called the night before to ask if they could be delivered by 4pm, they were also a "same day delivery" item. In fact they were all plain cookies with just a single colored flower. Just to follow up I called at 3pm to see if they had been delivered yet.The lady took forever to answer the simple question. She said they had been delivered. She said, "Maybe your friend hasn't called to say Thank You yet." Needless to say they had not been delivered , and the person never got the surprise because she had gone home already. They delivered so late that my friend had already left work.
