The momma cat ran away. Momma cat had an appointment today 1/28 and we forgot to cancel. My husband received a call from the Vet stating we needed to pay for the visit and going forward we would have to prepay for all appointments. Apparently, there is a policy that exists. Clients are only made aware of this when they miss an appointment. This gives the practice manager the ability to enforce the policy whenever they feel free to do so. Usually, we receive an email and a call stating that we have an appointment for the animals a day or 2 in advance. According to my husband neither of these reminders happened. i have spent thousands of dollars for my pets with this office and in the end they told me that I needed to take care elsewhere. I am a little disappointed with the way the practice manager handled the situation. I think the vet and the vet techs and the reception are amazing. However, if a policy exists it should be shared with clients when they establish care. Or it could be attached to the email when they send reminder calls. I believes this is an excellent, comprehensive, compassionate place for the animals. If I were to rate this based on today´s experience it would not be good. I do feel that if there are rules they should be shared with the customers. The practice manager should fix her process to ensure everyone knows the rules. Practice managers are suppose to fix processes. unfortunately, I need to rate.

Also asked for a nail trimming for this appointment when I called. Nails didn't get trimmed. Also almost overcharged me for the visit (initial visit is "free"). After running my card they then realized the mistake, which they promptly corrected. It's just incredibly frustrating to walk into these places, after already sharing all available previous medical records going into it. And clearly being tried to get taken to the cleaners, before any exam has started. I told you what was going on. During my most recent visit, my frightened cat was not properly examined. Dr. Levy entered the tiny, echoing exam room and immediately spoke to me at full volume without first examining my cat. She was condescending and continued speaking loudly after I directly asked her to lower her voice because my cat was terrified. She repeatedly pressured me to purchase Science Diet and later charged me $65 for a "nutritional consultation" that did not take place. When I formally complained, the person identifying herself as the office manager, Willow, denied my complaint and refused to refund the $65 charge. On another visit, the clinic lost my cat for approximately 2 1/2 hours. I repeatedly asked staff where she was and ultimately had to demand that she be returned to me. Management again refused to take responsibility or provide a refund. These are not minor customer-service issues. Pets are entrusted to veterinary professionals for competent medical care, careful handling, and basic safety. My cat was terrified, was not properly treated, and was left in the clinic unaccounted for hours on another occasion. After years of trusting this practice, I will never bring another animal here. Choose a veterinary clinic with experienced, professional staff and a demonstrated commitment to both animal welfare and accountability.

I have visit this vet twice…read more Once for an emergency and once when I had a dog at the end of her life and had to put her down. Putting a dog down is gut wrenching and this clinic couldn't have been more compassionate. They have a quiet room with carpeting, a small loveseat and it feels like a home. We were able to be in that space with our dog as she was put down. It's a small detail but compared to a typical metal table exam room it made a huge difference. They gave us time, listened, and explained everything. Their kindness made a horrible situation a bit better and while I don't wish that situation on anyone, if you must, I couldn't recommend them higher.
