As a tip though, buy your own lock that's standard, because twelve US is a little steep when you buy it from them. You can get something like a gate lock, or school non combination lock like kids used to put on their lockers (now they don't even use them).

This guy is legitimately a good dude who wants to do right by you. Not only did I find that he and I get along SUPER well, I've been repeatedly impressed by his willingness to do whatever needs to be done to ensure the job is up to his customer's satisfaction. His pricing is honest, the work is extremely well executed and the entire process has been painless. We needed a fair amount of fencing replaced, over 200 linear feet, and we decided to upgrade to 4x6 posts for the fence and 6x6 posts for the gates, all using cedar pickets. The entire project got a lot of attention from neighbors who came by to ask questions or check out the work. We asked Vance if he was okay with installing a dog bubble that protrudes from the window for our dogs and he personally came out with his jigsaw and cut a perfect hole. He installed it using stainless hardware and it looks PERFECT! The gates are strong, level and I have full confidence that they'll last for many, many years (I was VERY particular about this as our previous gates were unusable for years). The entire backyard has been transformed and the peace of mind in knowing that the dogs are unable to weasel their way out of the back when we let them out is indescribable. His main fencer, Cody, did the best beveling job I've ever seen on fence running boards and far exceeded the expectations I had even though I knew that was a standard feature of their builds (the bevel assists with water run off so water won't pool on the bottom and adds aesthetic value). We also had a minor hole in our roof and asked Vance about patching that up. He and his roofing guy had that knocked out within a few hours, we didn't even realize it had been fixed until I asked him what day they were planning to do it and he jokingly replied "yesterday". He said my roof is in good condition and not very old, but it really says something that I'm a little lowkey disappointed because I won't have anything else to utilize his services for again for awhile. Call around and ask for multiple quotes (Vance was also the only guy to actively encourage me to do so when I first told him that he was the only guy I'd called and had come out so far), but just know that when you include these guys in your roster, you're unlikely to find anyone else who matches up to the level of care and service Vance provides.

But then he went the extra mile and did a pretty thorough inspection of our roof and the fireplace chimney cap. Our roof is in generally good condition at seven years old, but needed some TLC - sealing, caulking, etc. And the fireplace chimney cap had been bugging me for years! Not anymore! We ended up going with a nice hickory, hand scraped, with a hint of grayish tones - something we shopped around for and didn't come near the price Adam was able to give us. We had some scheduling conflicts regarding install day (we were installing in a home we purchased, and the previous owner kept pushing back their move out day). Nevertheless Adam was able to accommodate and his guys came to install when we finally locked in a date. Sam came out and the guys were able to not only rip out the carpet and use "float" to level our floors but even finished one room. If you have ever shopped around for flooring of any kind, you know how expensive it is. We found Bob Wilson of Wilson flooring to be extremely knowledgeable about all types of flooring. We recently purchased flooring from him for our home. If you are shopping for wood, you know how expensive it can be. Many places with big signs and fancy names with ads on TV will take full advantage of you. We found other places to be twice as much as we paid with Wilson flooring. If you are shopping for flooring in Houston, you owe it to yourself to call Bob. His warehouse is located approximately one mile east of the Gulf Freeway on Fuqua. You will have a tough time find ing better pricing for your flooring needs. Now, lets talk about installation. You can buy all the flooring you need and do it yourself or hire your own installers. We used his preferred installers and I am thankful we did. His preferred installers came to our home and did a masterful job of installing the engineered hardwood we had purchased. The installers used the absolute minimum number of transitions between the types of flooring (e.g. when transitioning from wood to carpet or tile). Also, even though they installed the wood through a doorway, around an island in the kitchen and joined it back together in the dining area/living area, they did not use a transition. This is a sign of an installer that knows what they are doing. Wilson flooring has multiple preferred installers depending upon the type of flooring you are purchasing. We purchased engineered hardwood but he also has vinyl flooring, various types of tile, and carpeting. If you are looking for new floors, you owe it to yourself to at least talk to Wilson Flooring before making a decision. We are extremely happy we did. They had many samples to choose from and held them at their warehouse free of charge until I was ready to pick them up. I have my own contractor that I use to install the floors. I think it is wrong to write a bad review on a company who did not install the floor.
