Heard about this place so had to try it even if it was just a dessert. I choose the butter finger but get this they have over 40 different kinds of things to choose from. This is not a Military friendly location but I will still come back.

    Two Big Trays! Pure love.

You guys cookout is the most underrated fast food chain. 4 times here till date and every time my satisfaction is elevated! This is no less than a Southern indoctrination for me. Can't speak for sitting in but drive thru is the way to go here. The service is quick enough that every order of ours has always been right. The staff are young and always have been polite. To the newbies and transplants who have not tried cookout, this is a fast food you have got to try. The food is fresh, solidly tasty and perhaps the best bang for the buck. The challenging part is navigating the menu, which is overwhelming but I doubt any other fast food chain has a dedicated reddit thread discussing the perfect menu and milkshake order. And, that reddit thread was discovery of gold for me. If you know what to order that will satisfy your hunger, Cookout will be your guilty pleasure. We seem to reach one step closer to curating our perfect order, but we are not there yet. Currently, our favorite combo is Big Double + Double side cajun fries + peanut butter and snickers milkshake + the cookout special sauce. It marginally overtook the last fav Cajun Chicken Sandwich + double hushpuppies + butterfinger and reeses cup milkshake + honey mustard sauce. While everyone should map their own treasure hunt, here is what makes Cookout the best fast food chain I have had: 1- Quality: The milkshake is fresh and seems inorganically organic- it doesn't have a bunch of chemicals that will compromise flavor and quality. It is very much of the milk. The ground beef is the best flavored juicy dynamite waiting to explode your tastebuds. The cajun chicken beats a controversial competitor off the park. Cajun fries are the best. Tried too many they make it the best. They are all good. Period. 2- Variety: The menu and combos you can get will boggle your mind. You can make any combination of milkshake out of the 40 flavors. You have a chicken wrap and Quesadillas for sides? Yea happy discovery. 3- Price: the Big tray and Jr Tray are the best value tray ever, but the latter does not offer a milkshake substitute. Two big trays cost us $14 (roughly $7 each). Oh and we have not finished our meal, we were stuffed and saved dessert for tomorrow. If you are a decision- challenged human being like I am always decide on the menu before you go. Otherwise, you will be lost. I'd give it five stars but: the side of chili, although tasty seemed to have a mistaken quantity of salt. sometimes the fries quantity can be a little inconsistent (just marginally though). And, the previous times I did not know there was a cookout special sauce until now. Special shout out: That cookout special sauce is the best condiment to the hush puppies and fries. I have no idea how they are in business with the price and quality but they have a major formula for success! Cookout should be a rite of passage when in Nashville.

My phone died so I was not able to post my pictures but trust me when I tell you there food is GOOD I mean really good they also have 40 different kinds of milkshakes I can't think of any other restaurants that has that I really wish they would open a location up in Indianapolis that would be awesome also the line is always long but it moves pretty fast . For more of my reviews please check out my old yelp pg Mrs Jackson D.

very rude on the phone and will not stfu and they gave lettuce to my kid who is allergic and he passed because of y'all bum company

Well my order was wrong. But even worse- there was an opened Doritos bag filled with trash in my box. Like what? Health code violation. Gross.

Best part ever tried the eggnog milkshake this time!

Nashville, y'all showed OUT for this bachelorette brunch!…read more A little bride time, a little girl time, and a whole lot of GOOD FOOD! My daughter, my BFF, and I headed to The Mockingbird in Nashville, Tennessee for a bachelorette brunch, and let's just say the food did not disappoint! The menu was full of creative dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. From the burger and seasoned fries to the steak and eggs, crispy Brussels sprouts, and everything in between, we had ourselves a proper brunch! But can we talk about that GRILLED CHEESE?! Listen... we LOVED it! Sometimes the simplest dishes end up being the ones you remember most, and that grilled cheese definitely made an impression! And the sweetest little touch? The Mockingbird surprised us with a "Congrats, Bach!" card that made our celebration feel even more special. Good food, great company, and making memories with two of my favorite girls before the big day. That's what this season is all about! She Eats He Eats: Bachelorette Edition! The Mockingbird | Nashville, TN Now tell me... are you ordering something adventurous for brunch, or are you sticking with a classic grilled cheese?

All three plates landed well and the kitchen kept things simple and consistent. The mocktail program deserves a mention. I had the Punchin' Bag (mocktail version) and my wife had the virgin mojito, and both were done right, not an afterthought. Their signature punch is the house calling card. Easy room to sit and talk through a meal. We will be back.

We were greeted by Beverlyn (I think that's how you spell her name), and WOW...what a welcome! She was amazing, and can this girl SING! Somebody give her a microphone! Her energy and vibe set the tone for the entire lunch. I ordered The Tennessee Burger, cooked medium, and it came out PERFECT! Just a little pink, super juicy, and that Jack Daniel's red pepper jam hit the boombox playing Run DMC...come on! That's a lunch with a soundtrack! My wife went with the American Burger, which she loved, along with a Chocolate Milkshake. And WOW...that shake was GOOD! It's in such a great location, right off Broadway, away from the craziness but still walkable. This burger joint has a laid back atmosphere with some cool, chill dudes on staff. The Greg Brady is right up my alley with putting atypical items open sandwiches, even chip. You can imagine my delight in seeing a restaurant that has a burger with chips on the burger as part of the menu. And the Mac and cheese is on the burger too. "A" for creativity. Only two complaint, but neither will deter me from highly rating and recommending here highly: 1. Parking on location is tiny and fills up quickly. There's paid down the street. 2. Music is tad loud for my preference. Call me old, but would prefer it slightly quieter. Music choices were great, nonetheless! But as I said, still enjoyed myself and will still recommend Jack's.

I think crinkle cut fries are the best cut of fries, but a lot of places mess them up because they don't fry them long enough. This place does it right. Super crispy on the outside but still fluffy inside. Both burgers were cooked well and came on a soft potato roll bun. I thought both were good, but I would say the Cobra Kai was the better one. It had a nice kick to it, and the jalapeño jam added some sweetness that went really well with the heat. They also give you a bottle of their house sauce that was kind of like a garlic aioli. It went really well with the burger and fries. Glad I took the local's recommendation. Would come back again.
