Haven't been to Cookout in 15 years and decided to get some dinner. Got myself a small cheeseburger which was superrrrrr tiny, a plain hot dog for my dogs which again was so small, and a small milkshake. It was $12 which is insane!! It would have been way cheaper to get a tray with more food (burger for me, corn dog for them, another side for me, plus a milkshake all for $7.50), but there was a line in the drive-thru and I didn't really want to hold everyone up looking at everything on the menu. The food is good, the quality is good, and the guy at the drive thru was friendly (I've heard sometimes they're rude?), so I would go back and order a tray next time, but the prices were wild. read more

When you need a late night meal and everything else is closed, where do you go? Cook Out is always open late and they have very low prices that won't break the bank. Customer service is greatly appreciated and employees are very patient while you decide what to order. Food is flavorful and satisfying. Hotdogs are only $1.99, wow, what a great price. I haven't had Cook Out in YEARS and we got a craving for it last night. I ordered a tray (of course) with a big double burger, onion rings, and cajun fries. The burger wasn't big and it definitely wasn't a double... it was very clearly a single small burger. They also forgot to add the condiments I asked for. The onion rings and cajun fries are just how I remember them. My husband's milkshake was full of little pieces of ice which was off putting to the otherwise creamy milkshake texture. Not sure why the reviews are so low, but our experience was pretty good! Upon arriving at the drive-through, we were the second car in line to order. When we got up to the speaker, we were asked to wait a few minutes, and then again we waited in line to get to the pick-up window, where we paid and got our food. I'd estimate it took about 15 minutes total, which is a while if you're expecting fast food. So it's helpful to know that you should arrive with plenty of time. Also, they don't take AmEx. Food is tasty and very affordable. We ordered a Double Tasty burger tray with cajun fries & chicken nuggets as sides, plus a Coke and an a la carte Peach Cobbler milkshake. The burger was a good size, tasted very fresh, and came with lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese. Although the side of chicken nuggets were only three nuggets, they were yummy and went well with the Cookout sauce. Cajun fries were plentiful - and plenty salty. Watch out if you're watching your sodium intake. Coke cup was FULL of ice, so I recommend asking for light ice so that you have more drink to enjoy. The Peach Cobbler shake was super delicious and tasted like summer. I'd happily get this again and can't wait to try more flavors! There were bigger chunks of peach and cobbler crunchies in the shake, so having a spoon in addition to the straw is helpful. Overall a solid option that I'll definitely check out again! read more

Friendly-caring staff. Meals made hot and ready. I enjoy coming up with milkshake concoctions here. The price is fair. My favorite is the pulled BBQ sandwiches. Overall, a good location, it's quiet and the food is given to you fairly fast even with a long drive thru line. Ps. I ordered a snickers milkshake with 3 extra snickers toppings ( I didn't receive the extra ) and the total was $4.32 and I paid with a $20 bill and 35 cents, the cashier gave me my change but he gave me the bills folded up which I thought was weird. I pull up to let the other car behind me pay and I check and he only handed me back $11.03 so I go back inside and tell the manager and he gives me an attitude because he thought I was lying, I told him that the guy didn't give me a receipt and I gave showed him the $11 he gave me, so the manager asks the guy and pulls up the receipt and looks at me mad and just gives me back my correct change and waits for me to leave with a mean mug on his face. Extremely hit or miss cookout. I would've given it one star but sometimes I have a good experience here. I've lived in multiple states and probably been to over 20 cookouts and can hands down say this is the slowest cookout I've ever been to. There's almost always a line and it's not due to volume of customers, it's due to slow workers. I'm currently sitting in line and it's been an average of 5 minutes per car. Not only this, but they continue to mess up my order when I get quesadillas that I can't order them here. I order a cheese quesadilla and they always give me a chorizo quesadilla. I ordered a Reese cup milkshake on 6/7/23 at about 9:20pm. I didn't realize until I got home that the milkshake was a Oreo milkshake. Not to mention the person asked about 5 different times what I was ordering and I clarified all 5 times that I wanted a Reese cup milkshake. I honestly hate going to fast food places for this exact reason. People still get paid for horrible service and don't care if they get it wrong. Extra large tea. $5.78 Take the bacon out of the wrap and put on the burger and you have one of the best burgers around with fries and extra large tea for under $6 bucks. You just can't beat it.
