Tonight, I had the best experience at the Aberdeen Cook Out. My friend and I had the longest day, and were traveling with a new puppy. The entire staff was so patient with us and accommodating to our large, midnight order. It was the first time my puppy hadn't barked at a stranger the entire day. Thank you to the manager, Vern and the entire restaurant staff for making our night:) read more

They did not open the window because they were "short staffed" but then they opened it after we got in the drive through line. They said it was a double drive through but they only used one until we got into the other one. The milkshake, fries, and cheeseburger were very good tho. It says there is seating but there was only one bench and the speakers were not clear at all. We had to sit in our car to eat. read more

currently been waiting outside by the order window for over 12 minutes now... while there's workers inside taking drive thru orders... and they see can me. They won't open the window to even take my order. No signs saying that the walk up window is closed or that they aren't taking orders. read more

First time there and there are two lanes. Got in the lane away from the drive thru and had no clue what to do after I ordered. There was a car in front of me not doing anything. After about 10 minutes the car moved. There I sat still not knowing what to do. How do I pay do I go in to get the food? I kept calling for the woman in the drive thru window and she was ignoring me. I just left. Will not go there again! There needs to be someone directing traffic or better signage. read more

Not sure why this cookout location is getting all this hate, yes sometimes food may take a second but this locations is always jam-packed !! Food always comes out HOT and READY!! Shout out to the workers here who stay open until 3 am every night for us who work late or just want something to eat at 1 am ! This is the ONLY food you'll find in our small town!!! Thank you to the staff who keeps this place running and the managers who show up and show out everyday , keep up the amazing work !! read more

Ordered food at 10:30. It's now 11 and we can't even get out drinks because they done have ice in the bins yet. Also; while waiting for someone to come to the walk up window, two girls were yelling at each other and yelling all types of bitches. Said hello multiple times. The red headed girl that helped me was slower than slow. Finally able to eat at 11:03. There is no team work on this shift. where was the manager allowing his employees to speak this way with all windows open??? Not impressed with my experienc. Especially with my 9 yr old niece standing next to me. read more

Love this local Carolina chain of fast food places. Their burgers are great and they have so many options available. The service is fast and friendly. Hope they open up some outlets closer to me so I can dine with them more. read more

Rude cashiers and they took over 30 minutes with two cars. I've never dealt with this level of unprofessionalism.

ZaZa is the best person there that I ever experienced coming through cookout. I came after working late and she didn't complain at all and was very nice to me. She listend to me tell me about my day and was super helpful. Also suggest cheesecake to me and gave it to me for free. Definitely Cookout should give her a raise and promote her up through their system. read more

Visited on a SUPER busy holiday and everyone was super friendly and working efficiently. Food was delicious, sweet tea is amazing! Super tasty hush puppies, shakes, onion rings, and sandwiches. read more

I ordered a burger combo with chicken nuggets. The hamburger did not have the toppings that I wanted and the bun was soggy. The chicken nuggets were overcook. By the time I got 10 miles down the road and realize my order was screwed up I will waste the gas just returning. Do not I repeat do not go to this place on a Friday or Saturday night read more

Very slow drive thru service. Have to repeat order at least 2-3 times. Still gets order wrong or does not give condiments like asked for.

I absolutely love this place! This is the first time I've ever tried this place and I will definitely return! Now if you're looking for healthy food, keep looking because you will only find happiness here. I was craving corn dogs, hotdogs, quesadillas, fries, burgers, and a milkshake. THIS PLACE HAS AN OPTION CALLED "tray" (I believe) where you can literally get all of those things!! Un-freaking-believable! I am from the west coast and I don't think we have anything like this out there. I ordered a tray with 2 hotdogs (1 regular and 1 with chili & cheese), a corn dog and an Oreo milkshake which was thicker than me! Ordered a jr tray with 2 corn dogs, a quesadilla and a strawberry cheesecake milkshake. They definitely fulfilled my cravings! read more

So many milkshakes!! But teeny tiny burger patties. The whole restaurant is a drive through unless you want to sit outside, kind of like sonic. read more

I come here late night after I've finished delivering food and I'm always taken care of immediately. By far the best fast food in town.

I don't usually leave reviews but this really needs to be said. I was there tonight 7/19/22 and I had a large order for 7 hungry children. Destiny greeted me at the walk up window and immediately saw my frustration. She assured me that everything was ok and helped me make the best choices for my money. Through all of my crazy ordering, she kept a smile on her face and kept reassuring me that everything was ok. I got my order and NOTHING WAS MISSING!!! All the kids were satisfied with their meals. The ENTIRE experience was AWESOME!!! Thank you Ms. Destiny for making this crazy experience a very pleasant one. To add to this, she saw me in another store about an hour later and was still smiling and being pleasant. Destiny exudes excellence. Thank you again. read more

Worst service ever, every time, the service is always extremely slow, the manager needs to be fired immediately

Friday night... been sitting in the drive thru for 20 minutes. Still haven't gotten to order. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt but this isn't the first time. Too bad really because I live cookout. read more

I'm perplexed because why on earth is there not a cook out in Philadelphia already!!!!! I'm sooo craving a thick- and-creamy-milkshake-made-just-how-i-like-it, a delicious you-can-taste-it's-grilled cheeseburger!....Annnnddd those thick cut, crispy, and hot french fries! Sooooo gooood! It is an American delicacy made right! Everything was fresh! The cheeseburger, fries and oreo milkshake hit the spot. I never been to Cookouts before as they are usually seen towards the south. I was glad to have given them a try. The prices are amazingly low for the quality--that's right up my alley. Also, there are usually 2 drive thru lanes which is great. I hope I see one open in Philly. read more

Took my family there for a milkshake today, I was bragging how good it was until I drank some of mine and got something in my mouth that wasn't a banana. I spit it out and it looked like a bug. Sent pics to my son who also agreed. I called and spoke with the manager who processed to tell me they do not have bugs in their building and a real sarcastic tone. Some of the best fast food I've had, super cheep but incredibly tasty, I was able to get two double hamburgers and drinks for $10, service can be a little slow at time due to being crowded and known for its great food but 10/10 would most definitely recommend! read more

Based on the reviews I figured the food would be really good. Ordered using the drive thru, very convenient that they offer two lane options. Process for ordering went smoothly. Food was ready in less than five minutes. Sooo the burger is grilled and tasteless, no seasoning is used whatsoever. I ordered the Cheddar Cheesy, there was barely any cheddar, there was lots of bacon and mayo. I received three onion rings that were ok. I also ordered the coke float, it was disgusting. Ice-cream tasted cheap. Service was ok read more

I usually love this place but today I went for a milkshake. The line was a 45 minute wait but I stayed the course. All I wanted was a mocha toffee milkshake. So I sit in line and I order. The lady says "mocha toffee?" And I say yes and she immediately yells "one mocha mocha". So I correct her and she then tells "one mocha coffee" so I correct her again and say "no, mocha with heath toffee" so I get my drink and pull forward. I open the milk shake and there is no candy. It's just mocha. I check the receipt and it's "mocha mocha". Like how dang hard is this? By then I was already out of line that i had waited in forever and I couldn't go back. Waste of money. I only ordered one thing and corrected her 3 times and I still didn't get what i paid for read more

I am very disappointed my daughter ordered a hot dog with a side of cheese curds, she was excited because she had never tried them when she opened it up there were only 4 cheese curds inside. read more

Stopped at the Aberdeen cookout tonight for a quick burger. Ordered cheddar style no onions, got more onions than anything else and no bacon. By the time I pulled all the onions off there was almost no cheese. Pretty much tasteless. They were busy and fairly fast, but didn't get it right. They did get the plain burger for the pups right though. Oh, and no napkins or any offer of condiments!! read more

Bro deadass only gave me a Corndog with none of my sides and it wasn't even busy there was only 2 people cmon bruh

I sat in the drive thru for an hour!!! There was no way out, I was trapped! I'm thankful I didn't have an evening event or meeting I had to get to. I decided to order since I'd waited so long. When finally able to eat, an hour and 15 minutes later, the two burgers I'd ordered were so well done they were crunchy. Such a disappointment for fast food! It wasn't fast and it wasn't good. I won't return. read more

I sat in line for over 30 minutes. I had to tell them 3 times what I wanted and they still got it wrong. I wasted 40 minutes of my hour break with only three cars in front of me to pay 11$ for 2 chicken sandwiches. read more

The food is good but this particular franchise is very sloppy. Most of the time on the burgers, the onion slice is larger than the hamburger patty. The employees just don't care about their jobs or presentation. read more

I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with a corn dog and fries. Good thing I had the corn dog and fries because the sandwich was inedible and absolutely disgusting. And I don't care how busy or shorthanded you are. You DONT sell shit like this. The chicken was half the size of the bun and old as hell. Took one bite and the whole piece of chicken came out and I couldn't even chew it. Like a piece of rubber. And the only piece of lettuce I got was the core. THE CORE. Anyone with half a fucking brain would know not to put that on a sandwich. I've had it with all the disgusting restaurants in this area. read more

Went Saturday for a milkshake ended up waiting in line for an hour and ten minutes before I ever got to the intercom then sat there another 5 minutes before order was taken sat there another 10 minutes and the car in front of me was still not given his food, so I left once I was able to get out. The lines there is crazy and unsafe what if there was an emergency or whatever the case may have been and there is no wait out once you are in line no getting out. Spent an hour and a half there for nothing and no reason for it. read more

New to Cookout and this was our second visit to one and first to this location. NO indoor eating but plenty of outside tables, some near the building and some in a grassy area near parking. Parking was interesting and the drive thru was busy, busy. Great food. I enjoy the chicken sandwich and with 2 sides I ordered chicken nuggets and fries so my preschooler can share with me. Milkshakes are the best!!! If you pass by stop in, you won't regret it. Remember they make it fresh for you so your wait will reflect that!! read more

The people whose condo we were staying in recommended this southern fast food chain. What a great recommendation! It is the cheapest, most delicious food. Less greasy than McDonald's or Five Guys but tasty like Five Guys, the burgers here are awesome. Fries weren't fresh cut but I ordered cheese fries and the cheese made them divine. Will go back one day to try a shake! read more

I only got 3 cheese bites in my order and only 4 hush puppies, and paid the full price for a tiny amount of food.

Food is great, service is terrible. The inside drive thru line will go thru 10 cars before even one will move on the outside. Seriously a problem with time/resource management at this store. read more

Never again. The entire location is so poorly designed that if you stop to eat here, other than using drive through, you'll be stuck waiting in the drive through line anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes awaiting your turn to use the only exit. Secondly, I ordered a "big double" burger, thinking that since it costs significantly more than the regular, that it should at least be bigger than a regular. What they gave me, was a burger with two very small, thin patties, about half of the total weight of a "regular" burger. The total meat content is even less than a $1 McDouble from McD's. read more

How is it that I've never reviewed Cookout before now? So strange since it's my guilty pleasure fast food haven! I LOVE this place! I lived here for a year before I ate here for the first time and I was hooked! It's not gourmet or fancy, but for fast food it's head and shoulders above the likes of McDonald's, Sonic, etc.. I have only used the drive-thru, never parked and walked up to order. They do have two drive-thru lanes, but be warned - the one on the right requires a bit of maneuvering to get to the window, requiring crossing over in front of the left hand drive lane and then swinging back around to get to the exit once you have your food. Not really hard, but confusing the first time and nerve-racking when it's truly busy. The food is good and reasonably priced. The burgers are tasty with beefy, charcoal grilled flavor. They have a few sizes and a few named combos of toppings ("Steak Style" is A1 sauce, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato & mayo), but of course you can get whatever you please. I have only had the regular -which I would guess is a quarter of a pound - and never been disappointed in the portion. Toppings have always been fresh. I've had different versions of the chicken sandwiches but my favorite is the Spicy Chicken. It's reminiscent of the Wendy's version but so much better. The hot dogs are good as are the corn dogs. I haven't tried the BBQ. Fries are crispy outside and creamy inside but the onion rings are just average. The other sides that I've tried are either above average or really good. I have found the service to be consistently good. I'm not sure what those who have been unhappy experienced, but I have always been greeted with a smile and often a "Honey" or "Sweetie" thrown in. It's ALWAYS pretty busy here and I'm amazed at how friendly the people at the windows are considering they barely have time to breathe! read more

I went to the Aberdeen Cook Out drive thru for dinner today. I got the "pulled pork" and it was DISGUSTING. First off it wasn't pulled pork, it was ground pork. I couldn't tell what was stronger, the salt or the vinegar taste! The fries and hush puppies were chewy and old. The most disgusting tasting food I have ever had. I will NOT be back to this location ever again. The last meal I had here upset my stomach for 2 days. Lesson learned. read more
