From the moment we walked in, it felt like an authentic Italian experience. The restaurant was decorated with Sardinian flags and photos, giving it a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our server was fantastic. There was a slight language barrier, but it wasn't a problem at all we worked through it together, and the service was excellent from beginning to end. The highlight of the evening was the salt-crusted branzino, which I later learned is one of the restaurant's signature specialties. Before cooking it, they brought the whole fish to our table so we could see exactly what we were getting. It looked incredibly fresh, like it had just come out of the sea. They then covered it in sea salt, baked it, and brought it back to our table. What made the experience even more memorable was the tableside service. A staff member expertly deboned the entire fish right in front of us, leaving nothing but perfectly flaky, tender pieces ready to enjoy. It was one of the most impressive dining experiences I've ever had. The fish was simply prepared with olive oil and a little sea salt, proving that fresh, high-quality ingredients don't need a lot of seasoning. One thing I loved throughout my trip to Italy was how clean and uncomplicated the food is. They don't rely on heavy seasonings like we often do in the United States, yet every bite is incredibly flavorful. We also enjoyed a fresh salad, some biscotti, Italian breadsticks and a bottle of Prosecco that tasted much better than any Prosecco I've had back home. Everything was so good that we even took some leftovers with us. We accidentally ordered one of their wood-fired pizzas because of the language barrier, but even that turned out to be delicious, so it was a happy surprise. They packed out takeaway nicely and have us extra bisco and breadsticks The restaurant is tucked away on a small side street in Milan's Fashion District. It's lively, energetic, and great for groups. During our visit, everyone was watching a FIFA soccer match, so there were lots of cheers and excitement throughout dinner, which added to the fun atmosphere. If you're looking for an authentic Italian seafood experience in Milan, I highly recommend ordering the tableside salt-crusted branzino. Between the fresh ingredients, outstanding service, and memorable presentation, this was easily one of the best meals we had in Italy. We would absolutely return the next time we're in Milan.

The people at Taglio offer a wide variety of specialty coffee from different origins and where one can select the method (V60, Aeropress etc). Execution is good but their own roast is good (don't get me wrong it totally beats anything else from Italy) but they also have coffee from other roasters. All together the coffee itself is a reason to visit but Taglio is so much more as they also serve excellent food. The pasta I had was a nice example of well-made uncomplicated food. They are also a deli so sell a lot of charcuteries and cheeses as well as other food items (tea, coffee, beverages, granola etc) The service was nice, friendly, mostly English speaking and fairly fast and they also have free wifi (however with mandatory facebook login) so a place I will visit again. Only minor drawback would be the price level - dinner easily came to €50 per head and while not super-expensive it is still a bit on the high side for more of a neighborhood place.

It was a Friday night around 8:30 PM so the wait took a little longer for a table to open up for 6 people. The manager saw that we were wearing matching jerseys and he gave us some glasses of champagne while we waited for a table to become available. I thought that was very kind of him. We sat down after about 20 mins and ordered our food. Everyone in the group ordered either pizza or pasta. I went with pasta at the last min and I was not disappointed. It had amazing flavor and the noodles were cooked al dente. My brother ordered the diavola pizza and said it was the best pizza he had on the entire 3 day trip. Some of the staff looked at us annoyed because we had on our matching jerseys and they seemed to think it was obnoxious. But we're tourists on a bachelor party trip, have a little grace. If you get a change to try traditional risotto Milan is the place to do it :) Tourist be aware that they do charge 5 euros for service or something which is crazy and half the price of my pizza! I have never experienced the weird additional fees that come attached with dining in Milan! This was not very common in other places I went to in Florence, Cinque Terre or Rome maybe it's something new but just do you research before dining.
