If you know me at all, you know that I have serious issues with the burbs - mainly, I get horribly lost every time I leave the city, the vast expanses of farmland littered with Applebee's depresses me, etc. That being said, the $85.00 a carton prices I pay in the city are slightly more upsetting, so I will occasionally venture out to the burbs for smokes. This is a great little shop run by a couple of very friendly guys. They know their regulars and greet them by name. Large selection of cigarettes ($32.00 for Camel Lights!!!!), tobacco, pipes, lighters, all of the accouterments one would expect out of a tobacco shop, but WITHOUT COOK COUNTY TAXES. Yipeee! They only had 1 carton of hard packs, so I had to buy some soft pack cartons as well, but the owner gave me his card, told me to call ahead, and he would make sure he had my brand on hand before I make another trek out there. Oh, and be sure that I will - nice selection, great prices, friendly staff - worth the drive. Take that, Blagojevich. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Stroger!
