All of the staff has treated my son with so much love and care. Angelica at the front desk is beyond great and has been endlessly helpful and patient. They have a solid curriculum and continuous educational activities. They are quick to inform you if your child ever has an accident, as all children do, and strive to have as much communication as possible with the parents. It makes being a working mom so much easier because I know my son is in great hands

Since it was my daughter's first experience in daycare, the transition was challenging in the beginning. After some time, Miss Sue gave me the opportunity to work there as a teacher. At first, I was very happy about the opportunity. It was close to my home, my daughter was already attending the school, and it seemed like a very convenient situation for our family. However, after I started working there, I began noticing things that concerned me. I witnessed teachers yelling at and embarrassing children (also pushing- Like Miss Rebeca did with Sophie there in the 2B - January this year) and I also felt that some teachers were not adequately prepared to work with young children. One thing that particularly disappointed me was how photos were handled. We would take a single photo of the children (every day) doing an activity simply so parents could receive a picture and feel that everything was going well. Before working there, I was one of those parents who trusted those photos without knowing what was happening behind the scenes. My experience with management also became increasingly difficult. I felt that disagreements with Miss Sue were handled personally, and after I decided to leave my job (I wasn't happy and feeling anxious every time that I used to see the director) she said that my daughter could no longer attend the facility because a new policy was being implemented regarding children of former employees. She was lying. Because I wasn't the one to treat her like a Queen. Regardless of the reason, I had already decided that I did not want my daughter remaining there without my supervision because I was no longer comfortable with the environment. I am sharing my experience because I believe parents deserve to ask questions, do their research, and pay attention not only to what they see during a tour, but also to how children are treated when parents are not present. This was my personal experience, and I hope it helps other parents make an informed decision about where they choose to place their children. Now I work in a school that the kids really learn and my daughter are safe in another facility and happy in a way that I never saw her in KA. P.S.: Be careful with the reviews on Google. The director force the parents to do that. I saw one case that the parents wrote a bad bad bad review and the school delete. Be aware.

My family and I were very disappointed with our experience when trying to schedule a school tour…read more As Deaf parents, we simply asked The First Academy to provide an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter so we could fully understand the information being shared during the tour. Despite multiple emails and opportunities to reconsider, the school declined to provide an interpreter. Instead, we were told to rely on written communication, tablets, and "extra time," which are not effective or equitable substitutes for real-time ASL access. This does not provide meaningful communication for Deaf adults, especially during an important process like evaluating a potential school for our children. We were also told we could "bring our own interpreter," which shifts the burden of accessibility onto families rather than meeting basic inclusion standards. We left the interaction feeling that the school was not prepared to support the communication needs of Deaf parents. Accessibility should not be optional, and it should not depend on families paying out-of-pocket to participate. I hope the school takes this feedback seriously and re-evaluates its approach to serving Deaf and hard-of-hearing families in the future.

Warning!!! Be careful enrolling your child in VPK!!! Amazing…read moreExplore Academy is deceitful, dishonest, unprofessional, and took advantage of me. My son used to go there. Around May, they sent an email saying that if I wanted to register him for VPK, I needed to fill out a form indicating "yes" and pay $100 to save his spot. They took my $100. My son was taken out for summer break to spend time with family, and he was supposed to return last Tuesday. Last Friday, I decided to stop by to make sure everything was good for his return on Tuesday. The lady at the front desk told me that he would not be in the VPK program because they had not received the form I filled out, and they had given his spot to someone else. I explained that no one had called me, left me a message, or tried to reach me. I also asked what the point of paying $100 was if they were not going to save his spot. They told me he could stay in the 3-4-year-old class. I have emailed them, but no one has responded to me. Basically, I feel like they took my money without providing what I paid for. Luckily, I found a better school for my son, and he is so much happier there. The staff is also wonderful.

I could not be happier with the care my daughter receives here. There are two live cameras which I check in with frequently throughout the day. Any issues or concerns are immediately addressed by the director and rectification is communicated with me. The women who staff the room are nurturing and truly care about the babies. Conway seemed to be lack of staff. Communication never aligned, excuse after excuse. The director seemed to avoid conversation and wouldn't speak to me unless I would engage into conversation. The Summer program was not followed though. Over half of the activities and field trips never happened. One of the fieldtrips my child attended didn't even have our permission to attend!?!? Lack of activities was very disappointing. What were we paying for? $1600 for what???? Live The video definitely displayed the lack of supervision of the children at most times. Children pushing each other and none the wiser? Ridiculous! The language being tolerated while at camp and coming back to my home was very unnerving. Lunches, we'll as I know, the facility follows a health program. I was never provided a weekly menu. Child would be picked up hungry. This has been very disappointing experience. The only positive out of this experience was Ms Turner. She was amazing.
