I wanted to follow up on my previous review of Peter and how he has assisted me with everyday life. As previously mentioned, I went to see Peter due to having significant anxiety. I experienced all the symptoms of anxiety and it was horribly affecting my everyday life, at work and with my family. I was going to traditional therapy and though it was somewhat helpful, it was not alleviating my symptoms: physical symptoms of nervousness, fearful thinking, self-doubt, insomnia, etc...I was encouraged to seek hypnotherapy and found Peter. I called him on an early Saturday morning and to my surprise, he answered his phone. He was very patient and answered all my questions. I can hear his sincerity, and I was impressed with his ability to recognize my pain immediately. He provided some simple suggestions to get me through the moment, and I scheduled my first appointment with him. I did not know what to expect, and even after our first session, was not sure how to process what had just occurred. The next day, I received a text memorializing our session and I was so amazed how "dead on" Peter was with his observations. His words were inspiring, resembling a prayer and I was able to carry his words on my telephone to view whenever my anxiety would flare up; it provided me with such comfort and reassurance. Since our initial session on New Year's Eve (how many folks would take the time to see you on NYE?), I have returned to see him two more times. How am I doing? I no longer need to see my other therapist, I no longer have dreadful anxiety episodes, last night I took my final dosage of LEXAPRO, and I have learned to live and love the NOW and not live in the world of "What if...!" Another great thing about Peter was he provided me with his audiobook, "Convergence Healing: Healing Pain with Energetic Love" on our first session. I am not a big reader and this was my first experience with an audio book; I loved it! It was in Peter's voice so I felt like Peter was talking to me to and from work every day, and it complimented what he had shared with me in our sessions. I literally listened to the complete book three times and would listen to specific chapters over and over again, because it was talking to ME! It bleeds love and compassion and helped me so much and I highly recommend it! Dealing with Anxiety is a process and if you are willing to confront it and are fortunate enough to be able to welcome Peter into your soul via in person or by reading his book, you can learn to live a full and meaningful life, understand what it means to live peacefully in the NOW and not in catastrophic thoughts. Bottom line, Peter is the real deal. There are many hypnotherapists out there, but I will argue you will have a difficult time finding one who is as genuine and caring as Peter. It is immediately present when you meet him and when you read (or listen) to his book. I have said it before and I will say it again, PETER IS THE REAL DEAL, AND AN AMAZING HUMAN BEING. I asked Peter to help me the night before my surgery. I was very nervous (I had never had surgery before) and concerned that my recovery might be long and difficult. He came to my home and did one session for me the night before I was scheduled. I woke up the next morning feeling very relaxed and when I came out of recovery I felt amazing. All the nurses who came in to check on me commented on how great I looked and I went home a day sooner than predicted. I absolutely believe Peter's session was the key because there was a patient in the next room from me who was up all night and miserable, asking for constant pain relief who had the identical surgery as I did. I recently had a life changing treatment for chronic back pain with Peter Bedard. I was able to get in touch with the emotional and mental aspects surrounding my pain, give them compassion and understanding, and finally allow them to go. This relieved a good portion of the pain, and I'm finding the pain is continuing to diminish. I was given a guided imagery in which I found the first moment I felt anxiety and comforted myself as a child in that moment. It was effective and profound. Now, when I have pain, I identify that specific panic feeling, give it compassion/support, and give it permission to go. This allows me to separate the emotional and mental subconscious attachment from the pain and connect to what's really going on in my body more so. The more I'm able to separate the emotional/mental attachments and have more body awareness, the less pain I have. I'm finding I'm also applying this to other aspects in my life, like, for example, not wanting to work: I can separate the same anxiety and panic out and actually ask myself, "what do I really want to do right now?" I actually want to work, but I need to take care of myself first by taking a quick walk, for example. read more

I can't say enough amazing things about Peter Bedard. It's like he is this wonderful spirit put here on earth to make us all better people.
