This was my first time and from the moment that I spoke to Alex, I had a gut feeling that this would work. I called quite a few places and while I found people that I liked, I really wanted a place where I could be in person. Many people do this remotely or virtually and while they may work for some, I really wanted to be in person. Alex is a wonderful man who really not only cares, and he also, seems to be quite passionate about his job and helping others. For my first session, he prepared me well by speaking with me, sharing stories and getting me comfortable with the process. He told me that using hypnotherapy would be in a state where I was relaxed and conscious the whole time. I had done some research and so, was open to what he shared. The process was quite relaxing and enjoyable. I wanted to stop drinking and moderate my consumption. He spoke with me about the process, I felt relaxed and by the time that we did the hypnotherapy, I was ready. And, not only did it work, I am also ready to go back for my next appointment. I did dry January last year and while it was hard, I felt deprived the whole time. Now, I feel very satisfied and am happy with the whole process. If you are looking for some understanding, want to deeply change some bad habits and are open, Alex is the right person. Thank you! read more

Amazing first experience with hypnosis ( youtube hypnosis is not beneficial, you wouldn't do a surgery on youtube lets say). He is very compassionate and understanding, broad perspective and finds the cause immediately and has great skills. Im really so glad to have found him because after 1 year of constant panic attacks, having a psychiatrist and a therapist, being on SSRIS and do multiple EMDR has only solved most of the symptoms not the real issue. My therapist kept insisting that YouTube hypnosis is the same as in office, he is wrong. Couldn't be more thankful for being his client. read more

I was a bit skeptical when I came to Alex but I was desperate for a solution. My issue was money blocks and career help. Alex was very thorough and listened to me for an hour. He asked me very deep questions that I have never been asked before. He gave great advice and helped me see that my lack of confidence was holding me back. But I didn't come here for counseling now to the interesting part-hypnosis. It was an incredible experience and put me in a very relaxed trance state. When I say relaxed I also want to point out that I was very aware of what was going on. For my last session I didnt sleep the night before and had a headache. By the time the session was done I was energized and vitalized, headache completely gone. He truly cares and wants to help. Did not try to up sell me once. Alex is a gem of a person. read more

Alex is an interesting and intelligent fellow who is very good at what he does. The first time we met, the bulk of the session was spent on Alex getting to know me - my history, motivations, obstacles, and such. I was very impressed by his ability to follow convoluted stories and recognize the importance and meaning of seemingly immaterial specifics. I also got the feeling that Alex is genuinely concerned for the well-being of his clients. read more

Alex is great! I walked into it a little skeptical but Alex is amazing at his profession. He helped make me feel comfortable about the whole process. I would definitely recommend him. read more

I am always open to self improvement so when a coworker told me about Alex, I was excited to meet with him for hypnotherapy. My main reason was anxiety and occasional smoking but when I met and spoke with Alex, he told me that none of those were my problems and helped me view myself and life in a whole different way! I really feel that he reprogrammed my subconscious mind to be healthier and happier and to make better choices when a shitty thought appears in my mind. Its been almost 2 months since I first met with him and I feel like I am changing and making better choices. Everyone needs to press the reset button and boost to their subconscious mind, not just keeping up with superficial BS we encounter everywhere these days. read more

Alex was incredible at helping me achieve what I had set out to with Hypnosis therapy. It was apparent in my first session that he is a very effective listener who is wildly intuitive, intelligent and philosophical. Talking to him was as much a thrill as the hypnosis itself. I feel like I've been given pivotal insight on myself and obtained positive mechanisms to combat my shortcomings and negativity. read more

Alexander is a wonderful person and has helped me tremendously! I even brought my teenage daughter to him to help her with her test anxiety. Can't recommend him enough - you will not regret going to him with any issues you have! read more

I feel so lucky that I found Alex! He makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed immediately. And he is extremely genuine and truly cares about you and your progress. I was struggling with depression and had come out of a particularly unhealthy relationship- and Alex really helped me rebuild my foundation. He's truly the best. And I'm looking forward to seeing him again soon. read more

I am so grateful to have found Alex. He is kind, gentle, compassionate, INTUITIVE, a keen listener, with a healing soul. I have tried one other Hypnotherapist, and she is highly professional, experienced, and made me feel safe. I would recommend her. But for *some reason*, I was called to see if there was anyone who might be a better fit for my specific challenges. It turns out that Alex has had life experience in creative work / in the arts (which is coincidental as this was not known to me in advance, I strictly went off his good reviews). I have found that he has a deeper thread of understanding for my needs beyond standard areas that other experienced Hypnotherapists have access to in their own practice. If you are an entertainment industry professional or artist dealing with any creative blocks, this might be an added bonus that Alex has awareness of how creatives work. I truly feel he has a gift in the way that great "talk" therapists often have: a deep understanding of their field(s), a preternatural understanding of human beings, compassion, and wisdom to see a path forward. Alex has all of these things. I would recommend him to friends or colleagues trying to break through on a specific (and likely unconscious or deep-seated) block in his or her journey. I have had 3 sessions and will be continuing for some time. read more

Very nice man, I just don't like being cheated. I bought hisThree-1-Hour-Sessions package from his Groupon ad, but did not return after the 1st visit because I could not be hypnotized. Okay, so maybe that's just me. But he didn't attempt it until the final quarter-hour - because he spent too much time offering advice I've heard all my life. Oh well, $185 down the drain. read more

I've been a nail biter all my life. I've tried sprays, flavorings, will power, distracting myself - nothing has helped me stop. Two friends had used Alex to help them quit smoking, and raved about how effective it was, so I gave him a call. The following weekend I was sitting across from him, a little nervous. Would this work? Especially given the current fears over COVID-19, this is a great time to stop biting my nails. The first session started with Alex patiently explaining what hypnosis is, and also what it isn't. He described how the session would progress, what I could expect, and answered any questions I may have had. We discussed my life, where I am now, what my childhood was like, figuring out where this habit originated, and how we would stop it. Then it was time to begin. I could feel myself entering the hypnotic trance state, feeling very relaxed, listening to his deep, soothing voice. Soon, that voice was just a noise, like the adults in the old Charlie Brown cartoons. Then, my eyes are open and I feel energized! I feel like I just took the best nap of my life. We schedule my next session for the following week, and I head home. As I'm sitting with my fiance that evening I realize I haven't bitten my nails once since leaving his office. We did 2 more sessions after this one. We worked on getting me to stop picking around the nail, then finalized the whole thing in the third session. I haven't bitten my nails at all since that first visit, and the change in the appearance of my fingers is astounding to me. Thank you, Alex. Thank you for helping me rid myself of this nasty habit. Thank you for making me healthier. read more

Alex is a true master! I was, of course, skeptical about the whole concept of hypnosis before going in. But Alex took his time to explain in detail what to expect and broke all the myths that come to mind when we think of hypnosis. My first session was amazing and I could not believe how present I was during the hypnotic trance. The level of relaxation that I felt after the session was unlike anything else I've ever felt before. I have seen Alex a total of three times so far and will be returning to him in the future. Highly recommend! read more

Alex is amazing at what he does. I have seen and felt a big difference in how I cope with my social anxiety just after 3 sessions. He really dove deep into the source of my struggles which has made a big difference for me. I would definitely recommend his services with friends and family. read more

I'd never been hypnotized before and wasn't sure what to expect. Alex was very patient and thoroughly explained the process. He identified key issues to work on and specifically targeted them. read more

I went to see Alex after a discerning, no-bullshit friend recommended him to me. I hadn't considered hypnosis, but this friend is someone whose opinion I take seriously, and I'm very glad I did. I did the Groupon for 3 sessions. I spent my first, 2-hr appt mostly just talking with Alex - we had a lot to unpack - and my first impression is that even without hypnosis, he's a damn good therapist and really a wise, thoughtful person. The hypnosis itself felt exactly like a very deep, guided meditation, and his suggestions during the hypnosis were meaningful and very helpful. I felt very safe - he always asks if it's OK to touch the shoulder, hand etc and not for a second did I feel like I didn't have control over the situation. I definitely want to come back, but I do feel like I got a lot out of just two sessions of hypnosis. I have since recommended him to two friends. 10/10, will be back again. read more

I can't tell you enough how beneficial my sessions with Alex have been. I initially went in to stop smoking but have come out with so much more. The only way I can describe it is that it feels like he has unblocked something in mind that was leading to negative and harmful activities in my life. He has unlocked a world of memory that I had forgotten how to connect with. This has led to some very deep reflection and an ability to process moments that have led to destructive personality traits. It feels very natural talking to Alex and his calm and understanding nature allows you to make the most of the sessions. I would recommend Alex to anyone with an open mind as he given me the mental tools to create some very positive changes in my life. read more

Alex is amazing. I took my teenage daughter to him because she was experiencing testing anxiety. My daughter had a very positive and productive experience. He is kind and caring. He took the time to talk to my daughter prior to hypnotizing her to understand from where her anxiety stems, and also to explain to her what to expect during their sessions. He made sure that she was completely comfortable and relaxed with the process. Alex is very professional, intelligent, well informed, and very skilled. It was very impressive watching and listening to him hypnotize my daughter. He showed genuine interest in her progress. My daughter feels that he has helped since she now feels more relaxed and less apprehensive when taking tests. It is a pleasure working with him and I highly recommend him. read more

I highly recommend Alex! Alex was professional, caring, knowledgeable and personable. I felt very safe with him. I went to see him to stop smoking and from the first session I already felt NO desire to smoke, and I smoked for 25 years. Alex was inquisitive and asked good questions that then translated that to affirmative statements he used "under" hypnosis that changed me for the positive. Everyone needs to see Alex! read more

I had his treatment several times and experience dramatic change. I often had depression and anxiety issues. Due to his work, i was gradually changed, and subconciously experience less tired, more energy to focus on my issue with positive attitude. I am currently in the difficult situation that i need to think and care more than i expected. After several his sessions, now i feel more energy to overcome present issues, and ready for another issues with less angry, depression, or nervous symptoms. I would like to continue session once in a while to be settled in this active state. He is not only an experienced practitioner, but also a good mentor to have more productive attitude on my life. read more

When I say everything happens for a reason, everything happens for a reason! A few months back, a friend of my moms that she rarely talks to, reached out to catch up with her. After some deep chattering back and forth, her friend mentioned how he seen a Hypnosis (Alex) before to help him with some personal reasons years ago. He shared how great of an experience he had and how life changing it was! Instantly my mom and I were intrigued. Before I had the chance to make an appt to see Alex, my mom and a friend of mine made an appt to see him right away! Hearing how amazing it was for both of them was only getting me more and more anxious to meet Alex!! I booked 3 sessions with Alex because it only makes sense to and why not invest in yourself! When I tell you how eye opening, life changing, amazing and just overall positive experience it was... I promise I cannot express how thankful and grateful I am to have met Alex to help me with what was hurting me most internally. Not only is Alex a great listener, but he is incredibly intelligent and gifted at what he does! I will be booking another 3 sessions soon because I truly appreciate this whole journey with him. Never had I been to a therapist, or vent as much as I did with him; and just the sense of relief, weight lifted off my shoulders and heart, nothing feels more better than that. If it wasn't for that random phone call my mom got from an old friend of hers, I would've never thought in a million years to look up a hypnotherapist myself! So if you're interested or curious in seeing him, DO IT! Don't hesitate, I recommend him a 100percent. He's an amazing person, mentor, teacher, guide etc. Thank you Alex! I will be seeing you soon!! GOD IS GOOD!! read more

Alex is thoughtful, kind, patient and warm. I never tried hypnosis before I met him, but I would never go to anyone else. I highly recommend Alex to anyone in search of an effective alternative therapy option. I tried talk therapy for years and without success in certain problem areas. After one session with Alex, we were able to decimate my debilitating anxiety concerning fear of cancer recurrence. I never thought hypnosis would work for me, I'm a strong-minded person and I highly doubted anyone could tap into my subconscious. However, Alex had a unique way of getting me to open up and figure out the root of my problems. After talking it out logically and emotionally, he hypnotized me using the agreed upon conclusions and I haven't had a single panic attack about recurrence since. I've recommended him to friends struggling with Bipolar disorder, severe anxiety, and eating disorders because the scope of issues he can assist with is never-ending. 10/10 would recommend, I feel refreshed and invigorated after each session. Alex has a one-of-a-kind, almost supernatural intuition and specializes in understand the big picture, instead of simply focusing on one time problems. read more

I want to start by saying it that Alex's process has worked for me! He guides you through his process and hypnosis with an incredible amount of precision and starts answering and reprogramming the big "why's?" (why do I procrastinate? why do I feel anxiety? why do I sabotage my own efforts?). Through a very rich set of life experiences, meaningful metaphors and just plain caring Alex works with you to let you learn about yourself and reprogram the big "why's?" that have been holding you back. So my mental DVR was filled to capacity with old stuff....felt good to delete a ton of stuff and start fresh :) Try it!!!! read more

I had never gone to hypnosis before, but I am so glad I went to Alex. After 3 sessions, I see tremendous improvement. He has an exceptional ability to identify the root of a problem. He is able to clearly explain these problems and uses analogies and imagery that have really stuck in my mind and shifted my thinking. During the hypnosis these ideas began to take hold and you feel capable of changes that before seemed impossible. I would always walk out smiling. Thank you Alex. read more

After experiencing what one might call a "creative malaise," I discovered Alex Hertzberg and am so glad that I did. Alex is a talented hypnotherapist as well as a gifted conversationalist and empathetic listener. I found myself getting just as much out of our conversations as I did the hypnotherapy itself, which is to say I found both extremely rewarding and effective. Alex also has a warm demeanor and a candid sense of humor which made it easy for me to share the details of my life in a way that is typically hard for me to do. On top of that, I feel much more connected to myself following my sessions with Alex and I'm sure I will remember much of the wisdom he shared with me for the rest of my life. I highly recommend Alex. read more

I tried hypnotherapy without any real expectations that it would work.... I couldn't have been more happily surprised! Alex takes the time to truly understand the deep rooted issues so that we can properly address them. He's a great listener, with a quiet, calming energy that puts you at ease immediately. The human mind is such a powerful tool that isn't very well understood, hypnosis really is a shortcut to your subconscious! I'm very excited for my future sessions with Alex! read more

Alex is a godsend. I'd be happy telling you he completely transformed my life for the better, but he'd probably interject and say it was all me. That's just the kind of person he is. Anyway I was struggling with my perception of myself on a subconscious level. I had no self esteem, very little confidence in myself, and constantly was disrespecting myself holding everyone else's opinions of me and the world higher than my own. I was always stressed and overwhelmed at work. I had so many issues that I was consciously aware of and knew I wanted to change but I struggled so much everyday trying to get my subconscious side to pick up on it so it would become second nature to me. I knew hypnosis could help with this, but I had no idea the extent and how much would change during that first session. A month later I am still feeling like a completely different person. I have not forgotten who I was but sometimes the biggest challenge I have is understanding how this could be my new reality. Like I literally find myself saying "woah I've never felt this way in this situation or like woah this is such a new feeling." I have not felt stressed or overwhelmed, have never felt happier each day, and I have so much confidence in myself I feel like i can do so many things I never had faith I could do before. And the best part is I don't even have to try. I only try to be me because this is my new reality. Thank you Alex. read more

An incredible experience! I wanted to try something different regarding therapy and self - help, and I am SO grateful to have found Alex. A bit skeptical regarding hypnosis and it's possible benefits, I walked out of that first session feeling rejuvenated and generally more positive about things that I came there to work on. Honestly, felt changed immediately after that initial session. Alex is a godsend!! He takes the time to understand the root of the issue so that it can be properly addressed, and I feel unblocked in ways I never have before. Incredible! I will be back!! read more

I purchased a three session bundle with Alex (Hypnosis Beverly Hills) after I saw a deal on living social. Honestly I was a bit skeptical but optimistic that this would help me with an ongoing issue. With all sincerity, this purchase turned out to be the best investment I have ever made. Alex is wonderful. We started off the session by him asking me questions and exploring my past to see how past experiences were affecting my confidence level today. Never have I spoken to someone that was such a great listener. In fact, I was so impressed that in subsequent sessions he remembered what we had talked about. I know that to him this is a calling and to me he is truly an angel. My life has changed dramatically since I started going to the sessions. Not only am I becoming more assertive, I'm also more confident and my professional and personal life has never been better. I wake up energized and exited to go to work and most importantly I am calm and confident in my abilities and am no longer filled with anxiety when faced with a difficult task. I would cringe when I would take pictures with friends and family and scrutinize myself after I saw the image and now I don't do that. Lastly, I am able to confidently speak in front of people and actually enjoy the moment. That seems what I've been doing after I saw Alex, I'm enjoying life and enjoying the moment. I'm no longer being so harsh on myself. After I finished my purchased sessions via living social I decided to continue going to Hypnosis Beverly Hills. As I said this is the best investment of my life and I will forever be grateful to Alex. read more

I am glad that I opened up to this opportunity. Alex made me feel very comfortable and he understood all my concerns and experiences without judgment. He guided me through step by step and had his full attention on me. I have been smoking for over 10 years and I have not had a smoke since our session. I have little to no desire to smoke either. Alex helped me to realize what I've wanted for years now on my own. Schedule your first session and experience it for yourself. You won't be disappointed! read more

I am writing this review as a person who was once highly skeptical of healing modalities outside of CBT. However, I was at my whits end with trying to manage a very debilitating stress condition that was affecting my personal and professional life. Alex gave me a few hours in our first session helping me to understand the nature of my mind and why I was in the condition I found myself in. Hypnosis helped me to uncover what had been inside of me the whole time, but I needed a guide to lead me to the open door of freedom. I have been a new woman since my first of the 3 sessions I had with Alex. He took his time, was very gentle with helping me understand myself and patiently led me to a sense of confidence I never thought was possible. I cannot believe that I was able to gain so much from our 3 sessions. If you are struggling with a mental ailment, physical pain, or emotional impairments please consider hypnosis with Alex Hertzberg! I cannot thank him enough for changing my life in only 3 weeks. It's a miracle! read more

What a wonderful man, with a wonderful purpose. He is here to help you, and he does it very well. I feel that Alex could handle just about any issue you bring him. I certainly seem to be dragging in a new one each week and he has met my various concerns and wishes with gentleness, understanding, respect, kindness, and a delightful dose of humor. He takes the time to listen to you with great attention, asks questions, seeks to understand your needs and how best to address them. To me he is a quirky mix of wisdom, professionalism, universal spirituality, benevolence and impishness. And the results are very impressive! During and after the session, one feels a deep relaxation and connection with oneself, and positive changes start happening during the week that follows, almost as if by magic. You are still fully you, with all your free will and desires and personality, but you are somehow becoming a better version of you... I have tried many types of therapy and healing, and I daresay that working with Alex has brought me some of the most immediate and efficient progress. Do book a session with him and give it a try, the only thing you'll regret is not having done so sooner. read more
