My wife couldn't shake the wheezing she was getting from her allergies, and thought it might led to an infection, so went in to see if she could get an antibiotic or steroids. After a chest X-ray, they told her she had fluid in her lungs and sent us off to Genysis thinking it was pneumonia at best or cancer at worst! It was NOTHING. After entering the Pierson Road Clinic at about 3:30, she was sent home from the hospital (where they did a CAT Scan just because the "doctor" at the clinic claimed to see something in the X-ray THAT WOULD NOT EVEN LOAD INTO THE SYSTEM OF THE HOSPITAL SHERE HAS PRIVELEGES) around MIDNIGHT with some steroids. The care that I received in 2018 and 2019 was adequate. However, my primary care physician questioned their choice of antibiotics as he was concerned about me getting C-diff from the prescription they gave me. The real issue comes after the fact, when you have to talk to the billing department, The Billing department staff member named Rochelle was cordial and respectful. HERE'S THE REAL PROBLEM: I did ask to talk to the manager, Jackie, or Jacquelyn to discuss if there were any other options in the way they presented their text messages asking for payment. Currently their text messages do not list a specific location until you click on the embedded link and see the location (After working for my entire career in IT and cyber security, I do not click on links that I do not know from where they originate.) Since this is a new mode of communication (1 year) for this business I was unaware it was coming from Convenient Urgent Care [of Flushing.] The text actually said you recently visited the convenient urgent care billing department ... and I knew I had never been to an urgent care billing department! In my conversation with Jackie, she had no sense of empathy or compassion for me as the customer. She argued, bullied and attempted to belittle me into listening to her point of view. When instead, she should've said something like, "Well, we tried to list specific locations, but our system would not allow us to do so" or, "I understand that you were concerned about clicking on the link without knowing where it was coming from, but it is safe, I can guarantee you that." Instead, she yelled over me, would not listen to my point of view, and actually treated me very poorly. This, in turn, has caused me to never want to go there again or ever pay one of their bills. I did end up hanging up on her as Jackie was never going to listen, nor understand my point of view or my concerns. All this over a $76 bill from 4-5 years ago. I strongly encourage you to avoid this location. The service may be adequate at the time, but trust me the follow up, especially if you get Jackie on the phone, will be brutal. read more

The front desk staff was friendly and the Nurse who saw me was great. I did have an issue with guy in the yellow shirt and jeans. He was rude to the females in the office and sat around barking orders while he played on his phone. At one point he was asked a question he ignored the woman who asked it. It also looked like he was chewing to me and spitting into a bottle (which is unsanitary) in a doctors office. I am not sure who he was, but it wasn't a good look for the office as a whole. read more

I tecently took my two year old daughter there for an ear infection. the staff was very unprofessional and the nurse practitioner, Cherie Smith, had absolutely no bedside manner. This is not a kid friendly urgent care clinic. Do not take your children. read more

Went there for a sinus infection and 16 days after visiting the sinus infection was not gone. Was given a prescription that I was supposed to take for 10 days which did not take care of the infection. Went back to see a Dr and they tried to charge me for another office visit even though the issue I went in for was not resolved. Was told there is a 7 day window to not be charged another office which is ridiculous when given a 10 day prescription. I will NEVER go back to this urgent care when they do not stand behind their work. They should want to help people but obviously do not. read more

The front desk receptionist was very rude and had a nasty attitude she made me and my children feel unwelcome she seems so lazy she got mad because more patients was coming in and she also got mad because I said I would wait the 2 hours for my two 17 month old babies to be seen! She snatch my insurance cards and my driver license from me. She needs to be fired and find a job that she enjoy to do because she doesn't enjoy doing front desk receptions at allll!!!!! I have been there several times for either myself or a family member. Beware...they do not know what they are doing. Sent my mom to the Er with a "heart attack" which she was not having. Told me I had shingles when I told them I didn't, and guess what? I did not have shingles but ended up in the ER with liver issues from the anti-virals they gave me, told my 17 year old he had gout, and he didn't. Finally I stupidly went back and again their lack of diagnosing has made a large issue for me. . Please be aware. There are many other urgent cares with doctors who know what they are doing and care about the patients. I have never gotten a proper diagnosis from there. I have learned my lesson. read more
