I took a couple of days off from work this week to do a few self-care things I haven't been able to make time for, one of which was Botox. They were completely booked when I called, which I expected, but a few minutes later, I got a call that Katie was available because an appt had finished early so she was able to get me in. ... just minutes later! Contour Collection is my go-to for all my facial needs including Aquagold facials, Botox, & microneedling. They are located in Wash Park. I visited Contour Collection this week for an Aquagold Facial. The Aquagold Fine Touch is a micro-infusion facial device that uses twenty microneedles made of 24-karat gold to deliver a blend of skin-hero ingredients for the face. Katie Averson NP-C, Clinical Director & Co-Founder of Contour Collection used a blend of neurotoxin, hyaluronic acid, & pure, injectable-grade Vitamin C in my Aquagold Facial. The Aquagold Facial is prime pampering to get before any big event - in this case (for myself), New Year's Eve. The Aquagold facial diminishes fine lines & wrinkles, smooths crow's feet, refines pores, corrects pigmentation, acne scarring, dryness, tone, texture, boosts hydration and luminosity for a glow that lasts up to 4 weeks. Katie began my treatment by applying a topical numbing to my face which was left to rest for 15 minutes. The topical numbing was to keep me comfortable during the facial. After 15 minutes, Katie removed the remaining topical and got my Aquagold facial underway. Katie took the Aquagold device and applied it to my skin in a gentle stamping motion. That stamping motion delivered the tailored ingredients into my face through the 24-karat gold microneedles. The device created 1000's of micro-infusion sites with each stamp. Katie stamped the entirety of my face - my forehead, under eyes, nose, cheeks, jawline and chin. It didn't hurt at all since I was numb from the topical; there was a slight poking sensation with no discomfort. The facial itself took about 20 minutes (with the numbing my Aquagold treatment totaled about 40 minutes and I was able to fit in into my work lunch hour). I had mild redness caused by the Aquagold device directly following the Aquagold Facial; this redness subsided about 4 hours following. I was immediately able to go about my day post treatment. I avoided washing my face, putting on makeup and direct sun exposure 24 hours after treatment. I also avoided working out, swimming, saunas & steam rooms for 24 hours following treatment. I am now 24 hours past my treatment & my skin is straight GLOWING. Fine lines have plumped, several blemishes have disappeared and my coloring is more even. She is very knowledgeable, she's not rushed and ensures you're comfortable and you understand procedures clearly before they are performed. I get a small amount of botox, so I'm very cautious with who I go to and what is being done. I moved to Colorado in 2019 from California and haven't found a place that I like that genuinely knows what they are doing. This is hands down my go-to now. WOW! Go here now! I went to see Katie for micro-needling and was blown away. The aesthetic is beyond gorgeous and truly makes you feel like you're in Beverly Hills (in a good way)! Since this was my first time doing micro-needling, Katie was patient and extensively explained the process, healing time, etc. It really was painless and she even checked in on me a couple days later to see how I was healing! I'm a commercial pilot and am concerned about sun damage to my face. I heard from my sister about Contour and the experience of their nurse, Katie. I got the micro-needling treatment, which was the first treatment my face had ever received. I honestly didn't know anything about micro-needling nor the other treatments available until Katie took time to explain them to me through a one-on-one consultation. I could immediately see Katie's experience and skill within the aesthetics industry as she explained visual aids about the expected before and after results. She also was clear about what I could expect through each step of the procedure, which I really liked. Katie also has a very warm personality and is easy to talk to and trust. I had a positive micro-needling experience. My face feels smoother and looks more hydrated one day after the treatment like Katie said it would. I do recommend men shave their beard prior to treatment as the micro-needling did tickle quite a bit around the neck area due to the whiskers.
