I highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking physical therapy! She is incredibly kind, patient and most of all knowledgeable. She takes the time to make sure you are doing the proper work to strengthen the areas that need help, but also ensures that you understand why a particular exercise or stretch will help you and what is doing for your body. Because of her help my lower back pain is pretty much gone, but best of all I have the tools I need, which I learned from her, to help manage my own stretching and exercising on my own to help strengthen my body and prevent future pain and discomfort. She easily explains what she's going to do and why. Dr. Kemi is an absolute joy to work with. Yes, some things we did were difficult and painful, but I still looked forward to each session. The staff was incredibly rude. I accidentally dropped one…read moreof my cards and was called fortunately to pick it up. I live about 40 min away so I asked if I could come in the next day to pick it up and they had lost it and asked me to come back the following day. I had also come in for an overseas physical and needed one paper signed, I didn't have it but my doctor told me to come back anyday so she could sign it. The doctor called out the following 3 days in a row, I can never get anyone on the phone, I only talk to a robot, so each day I had to drive 40 min there and 40 min back. A random nurse sent me to another location saying I was in the wrong spot. I told her my husband made the appointment here for me and then she asked me if I or my husband worked there- I said no, then she said exactly, so I know what im talking about and you don't. The people at the other place told me no, I am supposed to be at Schertz Medical Home and not at that location. When I came back to them they tried sending me away again. I asked to speak to my doctor and they told me no, I asked for my doctors email and they told me no. I said My doctor knows I was supposed to be here because she asked me to come in whenever. Finally the receptionist told me she would try and call someone. She then told me everyone was at lunch and to come back the following day AGAIN. I told her I would wait till they were done at lunch, she rolled her eyes and said she would go find someone if I was gonna wait. Someone came out shortly and I was able to get my paper signed. Moral of the story, they were the absolute worst, rude and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

After the hellscape that was my previous practice, I solicited the help of some friends to find a…read morenew doctor to treat my depression and anxiety and potentially to see if I can get a diagnosis on PTSD. One suggested Family Wellness Center, and when I confirmed they take my insurance, I made an appointment. The $75 deposit was a little weird, but they kept their promise and refunded the money once I had my first appointment. My initial appointment was in-person, but subsequent appointments have been virtual. Kathryn Granados was just what I needed in a professional. She had empathy, listened to my needs, and worked with me to find a medical plan that would suit me best. She didn't try to push SSRI or SNRI meds on me like the last place, or try to prescribe blood pressure medicine to treat anxiety. She prescribed what I actually needed; nothing more, nothing less. She also confirmed my suspicions and diagnosed me with PTSD. She has a plan ready to go in case I need additional help with my nightmares, but we are testing the current medicine regimen to determine our next steps. Best of all, she always spends at LEAST 30 minutes with me, unlike the last place where anything more than five minutes made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. I'm looking forward to getting back on track with Family Wellness Center.

While I have been satisfied with the care, I am not satisfied with the scheduling of tele-med appointments. On at least 2 occasions, they have failed to send me a link in a timely manner and the link is only sent to my phone. The latest appointment was for 6pm. No appointment link was sent until after 6pm, after I had scoured my emails and their on-line portal looking for a link, and I had received an email with a newly scheduled appointment for a different day. I ended up being charged for the full appointment. I'll make different arrangements for my mental health care in the future.

I went there for several months. I was then informed that they were not going to take my insurance…read moreanymore, so I told my physical therapist that I would let my pain management doctor know that Cibolo Creek wasn't going to be taking any military insurance so he wouldn't send them there. Tonight at around 8 I get a call from the owner and he started yelling at me. I told him I could not afford to go there without the insurance as we are living off of my husbands disability, and he had the gall to tell me that "Maybe your husband shouldn't have served". He said if those in the military can't afford to come to him then they can go somewhere else, and that the military insurance doesn't pay him enough.
