I'm trying to return oxygen equipment that was rented from Continued Care (which is now a division of Landauer). I called Customer Service to set up a pick-up appointment. The lines were so busy that I arranged a call-back by the next available agent 30 minutes later. After their lengthy confusion, I was able to set the appointment. Duration: one hour. Continued Care was a no-show. I set another appointment. Again, no-show. Duration over two no-show appointments: one week. I called to speak to a supervisor. The call dropped during the transfer from agent to supervisor. I called to speak to a supervisor, asked the agent to write down my call-back telno, verify that the transfer went through, and call me back if it didn't. IMPOSSIBLE!! All I wanted to do was re-order CPAP supplies and it was WAY TO DIFFICULT! . First I went on the website and filled out all the infomation. When nothing arrived after waiting a week or so, I decided to call in to check status and/or order. WHOA!! This was pure terribleness. The amount of noise in the background was insane and the rep (who had an accent and hard to understand with all the background noise) asked my date of birth, I gave it to her. She then asked my last name, I gave it and spelled it out. Asked for the first letter of my last name... huh? Gave it. Asked for my last name again, gave it and spelled it out. Asked me to spell it... what?? Thank you. I will change suppliers, have a great day! if they cannot do the simple stuff, they will have too many issues with the hard stuff. They don't answer the phone and never return messages. They must do some business because if you read the reviews here and on google everyone is complaining about the same thing, lack of customer service and that you can never speak to anyone ever. If your doctor sends you here you need to demand a different company otherwise you will waste your time and be frustrated. Response- I have been unsung your company for over a year. It's been awful the whole time. I literally done waiting for you to put basic systems in place. Really easy things like answers the phone and return phone calls. Smh. I don't understand how Landauer MedStar is a legitimate company. It is mind boggling to me that they have the credentials to submit bills to insurance companies and get payed for their service. The customer service or lack of is completely uninformed and clearly not interested in you unless you are making a payment. Gabe the customer service rep in Pennsylvania, California, Delaware or NY I forget, I was transferred to so many sates was annoyed by my question and put me on hold for 35 mins. 3 weeks later and I still have not resolved my problem with them. Since their hostile takeover by another contract award company, Landau MedStar, who let a lot of C. C. employees go seems to be just as bad as C. C.! Having said that, I met with a Respiratory therapist when I was picking up my CPAP unit who, for lack of a better term, didn't give a crap about me or my health concerns! Never "Fit Tested" me for a proper mask & just picked out 1 off the very empty shelf and threw it in the CPAP bag! WTF? If I hadn't seen it or experienced it for myself, I would have never written this review! Shame on Landau . Heaven forbid you have an event and try to contact them. They don't return phone calls! I made a subsequent call a week later and told them to come and pickup their machine. Thankfully, I have a backup device. Deal with a company that appreciates you as a customer. Continued care doesn't meet my expectations of a respiratory provider that cares. read more

Since January 2018 I have been having nothing but issues with this company. I don't know if they changed management or changed policies but it is been horrible. I am supposed to get my CPAP supplies every three months. It took me about three or four weeks just to get them to reply to me and actually send me my supplies. Just this weekend on June 23, 2018 I went away on vacation. When I got to my destination and unpacked my CPAP machine I realized I was missing the connection from the mask to the hose. I called continued care unfortunately it was after hours and I asked them if they could help me in finding a place that I can get this part. They were to send my information to the emergency contact to have them call me. It is now the morning of June 28 and they never returned my call. My next step is to call my insurance company and see if we can change companies because this company has gotten very incompetent. Luckily in my case I was able to go to a local pharmacy and they gave me the information to a local oxygen supply store . Unfortunately I had to wait until Monday for them to be open and they were able to get me the part. So because of continued care's inability to "continue care " two days of my vacation was I stressing out because I didn't know what to do and they couldn't be bothered to help. UPDATE: Within a few hours of posting this review a member of continued care reached out to me. They seem to be trying extra hard to make up for the mistakes that have been made in the past. I was sent a free hose, Mask wipes, postits The business card of who I should contact in the future. And also a hand written apology again for the service that I had received. The hose had a Post-it on it also apologizing that the hose they originally were going to send me was out of stock and is soon as it came in they were going to send it to me. Also in my conversation she said that my order was due for review in July and she was going to process it at that point. So hopefully in the month of July I will be getting my next order. Due to the fact that they're bending over backwards to try and please me I'm going to hold off reaching out to my insurance company. Since the new company has taken over this place is the Absolute Worse!!!! One of the home medical equipment machines I have stopped working and I must have called 10 times. I kept getting transferred to the wrong departments and no one seemed to care. I am extremely frustrated!!!! Terrible customer service. OMG I cannot believe these people are in business. If I could give a 0 star I would. Ordered suction supplies for my husband and oxygen etc. A week later still waiting. I get a phone call today and the representative doesn't even have the order in the computer. Meanwhile I had ordered my own suction catheters and got them already by ground delivery. What would have happened had my husband plugged with mucous with no suction catheters in the house. You cannot buy them in a store. Would Continued Care take on the liability? Shame on them. I am seeking not to have to deal with them. My husband is a World Trade Center first responder and this is how he is treated by them. read more

What a bunch of idiots. They've sent me the wrong supplies time after time. I got my CPAP machine from them, you'd think they'd have a record of that and would check it before sending me filters and tubing for a machine I don't have. I've asked repeatedly for replacement cushions for my mask - MEDIUM sized cushions - and they keep sending me large cushions. The latest packing list says "patient requested medium cushions on last order but received size large" and included another pair of LARGE cushions. I don't think anybody there actually cares about any sort of quality control. If they did you'd think they would have checked the packing list (that says medium) against what they're packing (that says large) and realize there's a problem. Or look at their records and see that I have a Respironics machine before sending filters for a ResMed machine. Stay away, find somebody else to deal with. Contnued Care really sucks big time. I even went to the office with my machine to get my activity read and was told I would have supplies in a week. That was almost a month ago and still no supplies and no response from them at all from phone calls and emails. read more

I picked up my new rollator walker today . I have no idea why anyone would give a bad review. I was greeted right away EVERYONE in the office were professional, respectful and went above and beyond to accommodate me. They assured I was properly fitted and knew how to use the walker. There was a minimal wait time I would highly recommend this office to anyone. One of the best medical supply offices I've been to. I will request my other Dr's to send me to them for future supplies. This company is awful to deal with. From my very first dealings with Continued Care they were unresponsive. My most recent issue with them concerns a bill that I didn't receive. I understand that this could be the fault of the USPS however the lack of assistance in providing me with a copy of the missing bill is unbelievable. The one and only time I reached a live person I was told a bill would be emailed to me immediately and of course I didn't receive it. Subsequently I made numerous calls and left at least 4 messages. I even tries emailing Continued Care and received a totally useless response instructing me to call the same number I have been calling all along. read more

I ordered some equipment from this company and paid at the time I ordered. A month or two later, I received a bill saying I still owed for the equipment. I told them I had already paid and they said they would correct their records. And yet, here we are a couple of months later and I just received another bill for the same piece of equipment. Unbelievably disorganized. First they stopped shipping supplies automatically but didn't inform me. Then when I sent everything they needed, I still didn't get the supplies. When I called I was told they were waiting for the chip from the machine that I'd already sent them and that had already been returned. Then they said it's because the mask wasn't in stock, but they never informed me. Then they told me it was on backorder and they should have it in 3-5 days (meaning they didn't even order it until I called to see what was taking so long). I honestly don't have time for this and am looking for a different company to get c-pap supplies from. Any suggestions? read more

I'm writing an update on Continued Care, because, apparently, they DO care. They have been more than accommodating with trying to make my CPap machine work better for me, and they do realize and acknowledge that there had been a problem with my service in the beginning. The office staff I speak with now are lovely and right on the ball. Glad I'm under their care. read more

While the speed of receieving my CPAP machine was quick and the tech person was knowlegeable the billing department is a horror show. When receiving my equipment I was told that the machine needed to be paid for by credit card at that time. This was due to the fact that I had not met my deductible. When receiving my EOB from my insurance company it indicated that they had been paid. I have contacted them 5 times since than to process a refund that I was told was being processed. If i could give this business minus stars i would. The customer service is terrible. I have been waiting all day to have medical equipment picked up despite having a window of 3-6. At 3:03 a voicemail appears on my phone from continued care (im slow moving, hip replacement) the chair would be picked up the following day call to reschedule and i IMMEDIATELY called the number thinking it was the driver, but no, it was dispatch. I had to go through the prompts and find the correct person to speak to who told me the driver "left my area" and would not be coming back. What happened to the window of 3-6? Out of my area? I wanted to speak to dispatch, she said to hold, comes back 7 minutes later to tell me too bad, dispatch said tomorrow, but also said when i asked to speak to dispatch "he's not at his desk, you can leave him a message". So i did, only to receive a call back ONE HOUR AND THIRTY MINUTES LATER and was told the driver was told NOT TO GO TO MY AREA BECAUSE I DIDNT ANSWER THE PHONE. I stated i called back immediately and the response was, "NO YOU DIDNT" and the driver wasn't in my area at all, was told not to go to my area because i didn't answer his call. But, people, dispatch called me, not the driver. The number that called me was the office, not the driver. SO at 4:30 we're still in the window to have driver come and get the chair, right? Guess again. NO, tomorrow. You people suck, your hip chair sucks, and your customer service and attitudes suck. Suck. There are better options for home care equipment with better customer service reps that aren't dismissive and unkind. Dont bother with this company. read more
