After calling the Pickering Town Center 3 times and also calling the Head office an additional 2 times and leaving voice messages indicating the reason for my call together with a call back name and phone number all during the course of two weeks, I happened to be at the mall and decided to give them another chance to answer my questions. My questions was answered by the male attendant who then proceeded to ask for my name, I replied that my name was not required at this time as I was not going to do the intended $300,000 exchange transaction for a planned property purchase in the US that day. The female that was behind the counter and seemed to be his supervisor said to him in a voice ensuring that I could hear " Tell him that if he does not leave his name then we don't want his business". If management feels they have a need to talk to this female employee and discuss with her the level of customer service she is providing her customers, you can figure out who she is by the day and time this took place. They profiled me 100%. I went to complete a transaction which was well under 10K CDN and they demanded to know where the money came from. I am sure this is because I was unshaven and because it's summer I'm not as white as perhaps they would have wanted me to be. The Canadian law is clear, this was not required for the amount of money I was exchanging. I went to a competitor, and even explained what happened, they agreed that Continental was in the wrong - unless I was asking to exchange more than 10K which I was not. The associate was also very rude. I will be sure to tell everyone about their racism, someone like me clearly cannot have so much foreign currency. read more

We have a location in our favourite mall so we are fortunate enough to have easy access to exchange funds. We often change when we go overseas and exchanging for a trip to the U.S soon. The workers are great! So friendly and one of our favourite stops when we trick or treat the mall! The rates are scrolling by so you can view them with no problem and a really easy process. read more

Gave me an exchange rate that is way below published rate and sound annoyed when I was surprised and asked again if I hear her correctly. I would have give -5 stars if i could . Hi everyone, I writing this review as a customer who had one of the worst experiences with this Continental currency exchange. Plz don't come to this branch if you can otherwise prepare yourself for a very poor customer service . I asked the lady who work there ( unfortunately I don't know here name as she didn't give me her name when I said I had a complain) to do two separate transactions under my VIP account and she did one correctly, but for the second one she used a lower exchange rate !!! ( unfortunately she didn't double check with me when she was not sure what I asked for and simply assumed on her own!!!!) Even if there was a miscommunication she should have respected the customer request and made proper correction ! Instead, all of a sudden, she accused me without any proof that I was taking picture and video of her!!! Called the security and the Police The manager, Sahar Mohmand, was even worse, instead of resolving the situation, she used her position to bully me around and accused me of taking video, when I was simply using my calculator on my cellphone ! They made me very uncomfortable, took 2 hours of my time and put me through lots of stress and made my mom who was fasting wait in the car for 2 hours !!!! I was calm and very reasonable throughout submitted my phone to the Police Officers, which I was not obliged to, to scan its camera . If you really need to go to this place be prepare mentally and legally ( it is better to go there with your lawyer just in case). Don't let the manager or staff bully you around, frightening you from the security or the police! Know the customer is always right and their salary comes from your transactions. At the end, I called the head office myself and talked with Teresa. She was very helpful and tried to resolve the situation. I am writing this note, so no one else goes through the same hectic experience that I went through. I will change my review or remove it if the manager Sahar and the teller apologize to me for their false accusations. I hope the head office provides proper training before assigning anyone as a manager. I hope what the head office claims about their customer service is true and they don't make a blind eye on these matters. read more

First suggestion..acoustics are bad, staff is behind glass for protections but cant hear them. Gave my husband all large denominations of foreign currency. I called to see if we could exchange some of the large currency to smaller bills. I explained I will pay a fee if required. I was told no, they don't do that besides they only had a limits amount of small currency. She said they would like to keep that for customers. Okay, so what are we? I use to send a lot of customers to them. Not now. Located another currency store in Markham. Spoke to them. She said they have few small bills but to come in and they will see if they can accommodate us. I went and they did. At no cost to us.... Yep, we will be using the currency exchange who knows how to treat people right, going forward. read more
