Worst customer service ever. From front desk to owner's. Spent $145k also pre paid for one year pool service and 6 months additional tried to address multiple times our salt content was too high I'm talking about almost 8,000 ppm! Spoke with Jackie spoke with Bri spoke with Bret and nothing!!! Simply asked for owner to call us and then they discontinued our service saying we're not a good fit ? No accountability and per our new pool service company they have other customers from contemporary pools that have the same problem. High salt content and crap customer service ! As owners of our own company when an issue arrises such as this and a customer wants to speak with the owner to find a resolution please do your part and call and rectify the issue. They were installing a pool next door to me and I contacted them to install a hand rail at my pool. I want to recognize Jackie, Brian, Corey and the girls in the office who were all a pleasure to work with. There was also an issue with my fence which was damaged in the process of the pool construction. The 2 fellows who came to repair it were very kind. Both the installation of the handrail and the repair of the fence were completed within days and I couldn't have asked for nicer people to have been involved. Re contemporary pools 5/17/23 reply from Thomas J. Thomas , your unsupervised sub contractors did not cement the pavers in. These pavers were the foundation of the pool cage. Multiple times during build your subs were found cutting corners, using wrong size rebar ( smaller than code ) and seriously , a little quality control is an expectation . Your reply doesn't hold water. Cages on both sides of my home are 20 + years old . Our new cage crumbled at 60 mph, while the 2 cages next door only lost some screens. Those cages withstood 155 mph winds. Ours folded like a house of cards at 60 mph because you guys don't oversee your sub contractors. Your reply makes zero sense. 3 professional engineers examined pieces of the our new demolished cage and ALL stated same thing : failure of how pavers were set. Lee county inspectors do not have X-ray vision to see that you DID NOT cement in the pavers ! IT IS NOT OK that you expect your field supervision work to be the responsibility of an overworked lee county inspector who is tasked with doing 20-30 inspections a day . Quality control is YOUR JOB. Go ahead & play the part of "MR pass the Buck " , consumers bucks stop here. Contemporary pools , Shame on you. Try putting 1/2 as much energy into quality control , instead of all the time and energy wasted with your endless non sensexcuses. read more

I have to say how pleased we have been with the service received from Contemporary pools during our pool overhaul. We met with Thomas at their office talked through the options and were quickly able to determine the work possibly needed, cost and timeline. They were out promptly to inspect the pool and give a formal quote for resurface work and tiling all of which could be done whilst we returned to the UK for December. We gave the go ahead and I have to say were very pleased with the whole process, we were kept informed by text of all updates, multiple pictures were forthcoming. We arrived back in town to find a beautifully update pool giving life to something that looked old and tired. The month long hand over process went well, their staff friendly and knowledgeable, able to expalin things clearly. Having had this process completed we are now asking then back to upgrade the pipework around the pump and filter. Very pleased with the overall process and their staff. read more

They install a great product, but do not use their weekly service, the technician is not reliable. Spends less than 5 minutes on pool and after almost 2 years of services had to be told we had a salt water pool after the low salt alarm went off. After that he added too much salt and chlorine causing harm to my granddaughter's hair and skin. read more

If you have a weekly contract for your pool, be sure to be home on the day of your pool is to be serviced. We weren't happy with the new employee assigned to our account and were denied a changed. We decided to check our secure camera and found the employee NEVER came to service our pool even though I was assured he was here! When I cancelled our service contract prior to the next month I asked for a refund of my payment. I was told my last payment was for the current month even though their invoice states otherwise. This same company installed our pool and within a year, we had a crack in the concrete and had to drain the pool to have it repaired and refill the pool at our expense. If you're thinking of having a pool installed, I suggest you look fot another company. read more

terrible terrible terrible customer service!!!!!! beware......they built my pool last august.....great job.... pool and spa awesome. however if you have an issue afterwards, good luck .... I paid for the yr for pool service. Have rust spots on the pool since last month. Pool guy is awful ,,, never does the total job.. when I call in I am told "that they cant keep people". this pool guy told me he tried to fix spots but couldn't. he said "I referred to office......" after a week, I called to find out, and spoke with an "owner" tom. he was very very very rude. I tried to explain the issue, and he would cut me off and make excuses..........I told him his pool guy didnt know what he was doing.... he took offense and became very belligerent! Im done with the pool service! do yourself a favor, go elsewhere, you will be calling every week with issues, and they make excuses....... TOM blames everyone else but the Company! We highly recommend Contemporary Pools. We interviewed 7 pool companies before finally deciding on Contemporary and we are so glad that we did. They did a great job, gave us a competitive price and all of the workers were very professional. The price estimate also included everything. Some of our other proposals had a lower price but there were many price extras such as dirt removal, filter upgrade and electrical service. Thomas made the design process very easy. He listened to what we wanted, made changes that we requested or told us when they would be impractical and we had a proposal and an animated video of what the pool would look like in a day. The pool turned out exactly like the video and we have had many compliments on it. The company is also very responsive to any minor issues that may arise and respond appropriately. We were so impressed with Contemporary that we use them for our pool service as well. Most of the people who construct their pools are employees of Contemporary so there is accountability while many of the other companies that we interviewed sub contract out all of the work. The sub contractors that were used on our pool were top notch like Southern Aluminum who did the pool cage. We have a brand new in-ground pool during building our new home and contacted Contemporary Pools for weekly maintenance after closing on our home. We have been a loyal customer for over 2 years and did not receive exceptional service. Customer Service dept. does not care about the customer. We have been through 2 service maintenance techs during this time and have experienced many issues with the salt pool weekly maintenance such as a huge stain on the bottom of our pool due to chemicals being thrown across pool. They did eventually try to fix it but not completely, it is still visible. Also, seeing cloudy and white flakes at times which was not taken care of at the time of visit. I called to complain and request the tech to come outside of our normal weekly visit to correct and I was told by Customer Service they could not come until normal weekly visit!!! I was concerned if it was safe to swim and we were having company. They advised that they were cancelling my service immediately!!!! This is not how a company should handle issues they caused. We love the pool they built for us but cancelled our weekly service because we found it unsatisfactory. We were told by their staff member that if we weren't happy with our technician we wouldn't be happy with another one because our technician had gotten a lot of compliments. If they service your pool, watch over the technician or video them to make sure your service is being done and that they show up. read more

Brett was our sales person and we are extremely happy with work done and our sales person. We had checked out different pool companies and Contemporary was recommended by several neighbors. We asked for an estimate from Fountain pools and when we e mailed their sales person about some changes he never contacted us back than after we actually went to their office to ask about our quotes salesperson was very rude so we went with Contemporary Pools. Fountain sales person sent us an email later telling us Thanks for wasting his time because we went with different pool company. read more

We just moved into our new home, built by Palmer Homes. Our pool is beautiful, BUT....I signed a contract on 08/24/2020 for weekly service, to include brushing the sides of the pool, vacuuming, checking chemicals, etc. Since then, Marvin showed up once and spent all of about 5 minutes at our home. There has been no brushing or cleaning and I'm not sure he even checked the chemicals (I work from home, and have a direct line of sight to the pool area) and a film has formed on top of the pool. I called last week to voice my concern and was told someone would call me back. I had to call again the next day and was told that someone would find out from Marvin what was going on, but again no response. My husband then called and was told that someone would be out yesterday. Nobody came out (my husband was here all day) and there was no call. He called today and the first person who answered said she was going to transfer him to Debbie, but hung up on him. He called back and Debbie said she would cancel the service, and her attitude clearly reflected a total lack of concern for customer service. While the pool is beautiful, I would not by any means recommend this company for servicing the pool! I would not even give a 1-star rating due to the poor attitude and lack of work ethic of the employees (other than Jason, who was wonderful at the "show and tell"), however a rating has to be given in order for me to post my comment. read more

7-10 day expected pool renovation took 3 weeks. No communication regarding when work would be done on what days. Many days there was no work done. Most of the work was sub-contracted with no supervision from Contemporary Pools personnel. Tile installer should have used spacers because the job looks installed by amateur. Still have spotty cement in the bottom of the pool without uniform color. Pool light was never secured properly. Spoke with Thomas multiple multiple multiple times to address probable leak in pool to address during renovation. He did speak with another person ( I cant remember his name) who was managing my pool project about the leak. I was promised it would be handled. Pool seemed to be leaking after project completion but I wasnt sure and kept doubting it because it was summer. When the temps cooled and I finally put the solar cover on pool it was apparent that the pool was leaking. Hired another company to diagnose and they found a leak around light fixture. It was a few months after renovation was complete but I discussed it with Thomas who was quite defensive and denied every discussing a leak with me. Was charged $1000 for river rock being removed prior to paver installation which was never done. The money was returned immediately after I called. My neighbor is having a pool installed now. I am glad that I was able to give them my review of the service that I personally received from Contemporary Pools. She is happy with Krystal Pools. read more
