To this day, my stomach is still bulging, and it's clear the muscle repair was not done properly. My belly button looks unnatural--almost like a coin--and the hip-to-hip scar isn't even placed low enough to be hidden under underwear, which was one of my main concerns going in. At my follow-up, I was told I could get a revision after six months since my stomach was still large. I was initially told I'd only need to cover the anesthesia fee, which I was willing to do. However, when I received the actual quote, they added an additional operating room fee, bringing the total to $2,900. That's on top of the $8,700 I already paid. This is where it really feels wrong--there were no complications like infection or wound issues. The issue is simply that the surgery was not done thoroughly enough, yet I'm being asked to pay again to fix it. That doesn't sit right. Overall, the experience feels very transactional, with little concern for patient satisfaction or accountability. At this point, it honestly feels like a scam. When I called to make an appointment there, their office rep advised he "was sick of getting referrals from this Dr. Falluco & his office as Dr. Kostick does not take Care Plus Insurance & never has." I called back to FL Plastic Surgery & was advised by Esmy that Jennifer would have to get with Dr. Falluco to "perhaps see if they cd find a doctor that takes her insurance." Very uncaring, no "I am sorry for the error, Dr. Falluco made an error & we will get corrected, or that "so sorry your elderly relative has to go through more pain & suffering due to our errors." They let me try on as many different sizes as I wanted and did the 3D imaging so I could see what they would look like. His nurse Rosie was also fantastic. I expressed to him, I am 60 years old and don't want nor need big breasts. Also, I lift a 125# special needs son daily. Yes, I'm over weight, but there is muscle under that belly fat. Because of cancer 20 years prior and radiation therapy, my right breast was much smaller than my left where the new cancer was found. What Desai promised was, he would remove my nipple on my right side then reduce my left breast to the size of my right. I was expecting B cups. Unbeknownst to me, as no one at the office reached out. Desai didn't show for my surgery, he got a vacation, NEGLECTING to leave any medical notes from our consultation. I GOT the biggest breasts 'I' have EVER had plus 24/7 pain in both breasts and upper arms along with my whole right side. Also, a hysterectomy because what ever happened in the operating room disconnect my uterus from my uterine wall. I was also blessed with a mal-functioning and horribly disfigured body. He did show up to my "Return to Reconstructive Surgery" I asked for smaller breasts, um ... NO, instead I got a dislocated right arm I had to do therapy for. PARKER * I requested a second opinion with Dr Barbara Cruikshank and she referred me to Parker. When I said NO, she replied, "They are the best we have! It's a different office."
