This Crooked Law Group is nothing but a bunch of pathological hypocritical deceitful play your case in your face with smoking mirrors. Pollyanna dragged my case out so long that a new jurisdiction came into law with used vehicles and lemon law. So. instead of winning(cat in the bag case) and getting my $20,000 back that I paid in cash for that Hyundai Veloster, we had to settle and I only got half of the settlement because Fanny threatened if I didnt sign the case would be dropped and I'd get zero. I had posted a review on how aweful they were toward the end of my case when I realized I had been had. Again, I was threatened to remove it if I wanted to receive any compensation. What took the cake all filing fees were waved by the courts because of my financial hardship but these satan workers still took out 1500.00 for filing documents. You would be better off reading car lemon laws for dummies 101 and fighting the case yourself and hire this group of choice words I can't say. PS They just recently filed bankruptcy! The emotional pain alone from having them near the case will be worse than anything you ever experience in your life. They will take your case, make it worse then when you hired them, and negotiate with the opposing party like they're representing them. You are better off representing yourself than hiring these guys. I bought a Tesla from ElectroAuto previously located at 1666 N Superior Ave in Costa Mesa. They scammed me (mechanical malfunction, car never worked) and tried to ghost. When I hired Pauliana Lara to take my case, she told me that she will go after the dealership, and specifically told me not to make any changes to the car as it may complicate things and I followed her advice. A year later she calls me and asks why I did not fix the car, then when I gave her a response, tried to come up with different things and was literally acting toxic towards me and gas lighting me. Pauliana also told me to get diagnostics on the car and made me spend so much money, then after all that, Chuck Panzarella and Pauliana sent me a settlement offer that made me incur losses because at least they get their attorney fees. That's all they care about. Pauliana claimed to have set a court date but its sole purpose was to juice the case. A day before court she calls me to say that "she is sick." She could go to her office and video call me, but cannot make it to court. The dealership accepted guilt and the case was gift wrapped and packaged and handed to her, but they did not even know what was going on about the case almost two years after. They caused me so much grief and anguish that I was ready to quit life, and you want to know the sweetest part of it all? They tried to steal 50% of the settlement amount when the contract states 40%. my personal experience with law group was inconsistent and unprofessional. i hired the lawfirm to do cash and keep, they went behind my back and did a buy back. the one male attorney had the audacity to tell me "he thought it was best for me? excuse me! as a paid client i tell you what to do. the female attorney was rude and unprofessional. she kept interrupting me on a zoom call. at one point instead of telling her to stfu and listen. i had to have my professional side step in. and tell her that if you talk over me, you will not hear what i am saying to you. she got smart with and said, are you done because you are interrupting me? long story short i had to fire the law group because the female attorney made it very clear that "she was not taking my case to trial, this whole time a year into the case. needless to say i found when the hearing update was going to be, i jumped in to hear what she had to say, at one point the judge became irritated because of the noise coming from her office. furthermore she was surprised i was there at the hearing. the judge wanted an update, she told the judge we couldn't settle, so he set it for trial, she agreed, oh but wait, you have been telling me this whole time adamantly that you were not going to trial"moran with a law degree. furthermore i ended up taking my case and dealing with the defendants attorney "whom by the way is the coolest attorney i ever had the pleasure to engage with. he worked with me to settle. i was furious that i paid the lawfirm to do a job that they did not do. they never asked any of the questions i wanted answered to the defendants " like who at the dealership disconnected my gas line? i drove all the way home from fremont towards crockett area with gas leaking from the car. PAULINA LARA -- beware of this lawyer. I don't know how she is able to practice law. Do not go to this firm and do not go to that lawyer. You will lose sleep and your money. Paulina will go 2-4 weeks without communication ignoring your pleas for updates/information. If she does communicate, she will not answer your questions, she will dance around issues, she will not set you at ease, she will not earn your confidence and trust. I can get to her to reply to me when I email everyone's email I know at the firm. Try that if you're having problems with her replying! She has a legal responsibility to keep you informed in a timely manner and she will not keep you informed or provide you with accurate information. I couldn't understand why my case was so difficult for her. I spoke with a few people at this firm before getting legal assistance. I bought a car that had undisclosed damages ($5000 to repair and warranty void because there was an car accident and they refused to fix the damages, slapped on a bumper and sold it to me). Safety sensors don't work and water leaks into the trunk with every rain, sprinklers or car washes. The dealership offered to buy back the car and then stopped communicating with me to be able to sell it back. I tried better business bureau and finally got legal assistance. (This is the short version) I was told the dealership had 3 violations and a great case etc. I have diagnostics, pictures, videos, dealerships notes, the dealerships texts messages, you name it. I had the case gift wrapped for them. I was told that they will ask for the dealership to pay for her legal fees, that was a lie too. Pauliana spoke with the dealerships lawyer for the first time without preparing for the case. She was shocked to hear the dealership offered to buy back my car and emailed me to ask this was true. THIS IS THE REASON I HIRED A LAWYER! The first thing I told her, the firm and what I said on my documents I sent the firm. She messed up from the start and has been an uphill battle because she did not prepare for my case. Do not talk to her on the phone!! She will give you inconsistent and incorrect information. You will want to keep a paper trail of your dealings with her because you will be suing her for malpractice. She told me there was an offer to buy back my car and an offer to keep my car over the phone. When I requested a copy of my file to see what was going on because Paulina does not keep you informed on your own case... I saw that was false. That wasn't the offer. She doesn't care or doesn't know what she's doing and she's botching up cases and we are the ones who suffer. She collects money no matter what. I got a 2nd opinion on my case from another firm. Once I sent them a copy of my files they saw that Pauliana Lara is completely incompetent. She has literally self sabotaged her own case. She doesn't know how to set up for a case like this or just doesn't care. I showed a few other firms and they agree. She does not know what she is doing. Ask for a copy of your files and get a 2nd opinion. Those firms were also taken back how much she charges. She had me get a 30+ day rental over $1100 that I am stuck with paying out of pocket and that's the least of my problems. My car is drive-able and didn't need to be there so long but she ignored my questions to get my car out of the shop. Her solution to her horrible legal advice was for me to go to Penske who did my diagnostics for $500 out of pocket and ask them to refund me for the work they did for me.... so for her faulty legal advice, she wants me to ask the body shop to give me money back for their labors? Obviously I did not do that. It doesn't make sense. I emailed her many times and even sent in documents to her asking if I should take my car out of the shop and she ignored me for 30+ days and finally Penske the body shop said I had to get my car out of the shop. It was there because she was allegedly talking to the dealership about them getting the repairs done. Which she did not do. So far I'm out of pocket $3500 and need $5000 more to fix my car. She has not advised me well and cannot manage this case purposefully. I'm an emergency room nurse and I don't have the leisure to talk on the phone. She knows this and still won't email me what she talked about with the dealership and it's been a week. She will reply back to say let's talk on the phone and I tell her to email me. It's been a week 7 days that she's been withholding information. That's incredibly illegal sounding. I think she's afraid of a malpractice suit and trying to do things without a paper trail. Meanwhile the dealerships offer is going to expire in a few days and she appears to be waiting it out. I'm not sure if she's my lawyer or theirs. She says she knows their lawyer. Maybe they're friends and that's why she isn't trying but from the looks of the yelp review this is her standard practice We need to get together, get a petition and report her to the board. read more

I had to call this person call that person then when I would email her and say can you try she never responds. I had a situation where I had to prove I was at the dealership just proof I was there. I told her the finance company should have a records with the date because everytime I went to the dealer to try and return the car. I don't recommend Consumer Action Law Group due to the fact they don't work with their clients as they do in their videos claiming that they help them making it seem like they're very knowledgeable that was the experience that I received was not that at all no professionals they don't know how to return calls emails you have to advise the attorney he's a professional and it takes over a month to touch bases with your attorney he doesn't return calls in fact you're paying a high attorney fee and then they claim they pay filing fees but yet they make you fill out a fee waiver which most people qualify and then charged you for a filing fee is that ridiculous or what. People my advice to everyone do not hire these people they lie to you over the phone stipulate something else on the letter and tell you 50% of the winning is divided between an attorney and the client you ask them what are the costThey guarantee you there is no other cost then as soon as you let them know go ahead they turn around send you a letter stipulating the charges they have in fact I asked for them to send me a list of the expenses we incur with this office they never did stay away people Do not hire them if you want to lose money this is the people that you call My suggestion hire other attorneys that are professionals and that work with their clients these people want take your money And the only reason why they give you money is because they have to but if it wasn't for that they wouldn't give you anything their service is awful professional doesn't exist in that office I give no stars to this office I am disgusted with the service ! read more

Overall, I had a very poor experience with this office. Initially, the main attorney was really helpful in talking me through my options. Then when I had to send in my documents I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with his assistant Fanny. She was rude, lacks any customer service intelligence and tried to argue with me about when I sent my documents (because they were "really busy"). I am a very patient lady and work in customer service myself so I get it, even when I was told to wait a week for document review - but Fanny was just the worst. I couldn't imagine having had to deal with her through this process. I rarely write reviews, but felt I had to to help anyone else who may be considering this group. The catalyst to this review was when I received an email yesterday from Fanny, after my last email two months ago to the main attorney telling him of my experience (in hope that he would take action internally to prevent someone else from having the same experience), saying "Unfortunately after carefully reviewing your documentation, our Firm has determine that this is a case we cannot currently accept. We appreciate your cooperation during the Initial Review Process, and we are hoping that you consider our Firm if you ever have future legal needs. Have a beautiful Afternoon!!" REALLY? Two months later? Do they have any idea what's going on with their cases??? I found another group that is great and it took less than a day for them to review my documents. After 4 times in the shop for the same issue, its a clear cut case. They are now handling it are are really great. read more

I filled out the form on their website requesting a call back. They never followed up. I called them and spoke to an attorney who asked me to send him the sales contract, and he said he would send me an email so I knew where to email the sales contract. They never emailed me. I called them up to follow up a few days later and the receptionist said I would get an email later that day. I didn't get an email and there was no follow up. I called again and told them I was told that I would be sent an email. The receptionist spoke to an attorney and said that was a mistake, someone will email me in a couple minutes with a list of documents I need to see if I have a case. They still have not emailed me. If a law firm has trouble following through on something as simple as an email, they are probably not the best law firm to represent your interests. read more

I was a little regretful that I went with this law firm over others who have lower settlement percentage fees because I would have gotten the same result working with other law firms and more of my settlement. They did get me a settlement but because of their "minimum" amount charge fee of $3500 they took my entire settlement except about $400 dollars . Lawyers assistant Fanny was very unresponsive after I signed the retainer agreement and at times was argumentative when I tried to express my frustration with the lack of communication. I've had the unfortunate need for Consumer Action Law Group related to a faulty auto purchase. Very nice looking car, all the bells and whistles on the car, just those bells and whistles don't always like to work. 2 1/2yrs later finally came to a settlement but still waiting for it over a month later. Not CalGroups fault, Pauliana has been awesome these last few months on my case and has been the MOST communicative person, she is empathetic to my situation and does her best to bend over backwards to help. Fanny was very helpful and offered numerous solutions to obstacles in the way of moving me forward with my legal issue.
