turkey with cheddar on a soft roll

Costanso's is the epitome of a low key family business. The brothers who run the store are a vibe, they make fresh sandwiches for a few dollars and keep the long line moving. I moved out of Bayview years ago but I still come by every few months to grab one of their amazing sandwiches. There has been signs posted that Robert broke his wrist and they will be back soon, but I am worried it might not happen! Is anyone in contact with their family or have any news?

Amazing spot to go to for a quick and easy take out sandwich ! The price is almost unbeatable and love coming here. I paid $7.50 for this sandwich and it's worth every penny. The owners of this place are very cool and they know how to assemble a great sandwich. No dine in or outdoor seating, just grab and go. Highly recommend this spot !

Very good Italian salami on soft roll thanks if your taking it home get it dry and your sandwich won't be saugy

This place is amazing ,,, some of the best sandwiches in the area . The prices are the best in the city and it ain't close . The two guy who run the front are absolutely hilarious,,, it's like walking into a comedy show . Breads , meats are ALWAYS fresh ,,, if you get a chance definitely go in and have a sandwich.

Wow. $7 for this giant sando? Yes. Dayum that's a good deal - I got a pastrami sandwich with everything on it, including cheddar cheese, on dutch crunch bread for $7 cash. No frills place. Funny dudes making your sandwich - telling off color jokes. What more do you want? The sandwich, for $7, was better than most SF sandwiches that cost TWICE that. I didn't mind eating it in my car. There's no eating at this place.

$5 sandwiches!!

I heard about Constanso's from one of my local friends who works in the neighborhood. I checked yelp and couldn't believe my eyes looking at the menu, is it possible that the sandwiches are that inexpensive? Established in 1958, this place is old school. I imagine that not much has changed since then, still cash only and wrapping sandwiches in wax paper. Reminds me of the type of deli sandwiches that I would get from the butcher or corner deli growing up. I've been a couple times now and both times I order the basic turkey sandwich, it comes on a nice fresh soft roll with lettuce, mayo and turkey. You can add on any extras, but honestly I like it simple. Nice little spot to get a filling sandwich for a great price, in the Bayview District.

There is only street parking, and inside are two tables with two seats at each of them. The only parking is street-parking, unless you want to risk parking at the Bank across the street. Inside the restaurant you can either order from the employee, or use one of their tablets. PRO-TIP: If you pay with cash, you don't have to pay any additional taxes. The tablet is pretty easy to navigate, and my order was ready in about 7-10 minutes. I ordered the Pork Belly Bahn Mi -- along with the Shrimp Spring Rolls. In the restaurant, you can clearly see them baking their fresh, and making the Spring Rolls and Bahn Mi in front of you. My Bahn Mi was filled -- but seeing some reviews saying they're "stuffed"? Not my experience. I do like that they are not shy with the jalapeños and patě, though! The Shrimp Spring Rolls are served with a side sauce; at first I thought it may have been peanut-based, but the taste is not peanut-forward. The major taste of the sauce is tamarind, which was a welcome surprise. All in all, if you don't want to buy food in the airport and having a craving for Viet Cuisine while cruising San Bruno Ave. -- stop by for a tasty sandwich!

I guess im amused because i never watched this in real time until one day i was sitting on the small table eating a pork banh mi and watching them do their thing. that glorious oven doing its thing theyre available to order on doordash as and come pick it up in person or delivery. i always get pick up and the app always shows 30 mins out, sometimes pushing the time out further than quoted, but the app seems to be inaccurate because it's always been ready much earlier than quoted. lemongrass grilled pork sandwich is good. super casual, only 2 small tables. most people grab food and go. most people who sit there use the tables for the ca scratchers because there's scratcher dust on them sometimes you gotta wait for a while for someone to come to the counter. just one hardworking person manning the front so be patient

A true hidden gem in the city…read more Prices are slightly higher than average, but the sandwiches are hefty and can feed up to 2 people. Deli is on the left upon entering. Order there and grab a bag of chips + a drink from the store to enjoy with your sandwich! No matter what sandwich you choose from their extensive menu, Dutch crunch bread is a must. I like how their Dutch crunch has the perfect amount of crunch (satisfying, while not being too crunchy to the point where the roof of your mouth is scraped up). It's also not overly sweet compared to other Dutch crunch breads I've tried. I usually get either the Cali Club with provolone or the Oxbridge Special (formerly known as 2. Atomic 47 on their old menu; also isn't listed on their current menu board but it's listed on their GrubHub). The Cali Club is almost like an elevated BLTA. Perfect if you want a sandwich that's both hearty and fresh. The Oxbridge Special is mildly spicy and the roast beef in it is savory and juicy. Definitely come by if you're ever in the area!

We got the buffalo bill sandwich on dutch crunch and it was a virtually perfect sandwich! We got it with no bbq sauce and on dutch crutch. The bread was so fantastic!! We particularly liked the coleslaw addition and the flavor of the roast beef. It was super flavorful and fresh. The sandwich is hearty enough to be shared between two people and the price is decent for what you get! No seating inside since it's a grocery store but we were able to eat it during our walk just fine. The service is very friendly and there wasn't too long of a wait after we ordered.

I got the breakfast sandwich which was delicious, and my friend ordered the turkey sandwich which they also loved. One thing to note is that they don't allow substitutions or modifications, so just be aware of that going in. It's more of a deli/grocery-style spot, so there isn't much seating, just a few tables and chairs outside. But it's super close to Dolores Park, so we usually just grab our sandwiches and head there to eat. The chocolate chip cookie was also a standout. It's more of a brown butter, dark chocolate situation, rich but really well balanced, and the perfect sweet treat after the sandwich. Since we came right before closing, they even gave us the last cookie for free, which was such a nice surprise!! The staff was friendly and made great conversation. Would definitely go back.

For example, some sandwiches are served on a crunchy focaccia bread. My only critique is that the sandwiches are kind of small for the price you pay and the meat portions are small.
