I masked up and decided to stop in for a quick run through. This place is pretty incredible. Vintage treasures, neatly organized, displayed carefully and with thought behind it. Everything has its place and it appears that each booth owner takes pride in their space as well as the products they sell. They have a bunch of vintage glassware, tons of furniture, wall art and nic-nacs. I didn't end up buying anything, but I enjoyed browsing and looking at all the vintage finds. I am sure it is hit or miss so I will go back, as I enjoy looking at things, just as much as I like buying them. read more

Great store! First, I love that they followed all covid protocols. This store is a treasure trove, you just don't know what you will find. I have both consigned and purchased items. I was very surprised about how rudely I was treated as I was making a purchase. The store was closing and I was going to the register to pay and I was told to hurry and wrap it up. I'm appalled that someone would speak to a customer who was in the middle of paying for an item. I should have left the item, but it would have been rude to do that as the cashier was ringing me up. Pretty cool place to poke around. They mostly have furniture but there have some knick knacks for the house too. Nothing too high end but definitely nothing junky. Prices are reasonable. Consignments Ltd has an easy lay out & is quite large. If you're on a budget & are looking for some unique pieces for your home I'd recommend them. read more

Pretty rude via phone. I haven't consigned before and we're moving. I was wondering if they would be interested in some stuff we have. They're next available appointment was 4 months away. No big deal, maybe that's how things work. I asked if they knew of any other places that might be available to take things or that I could call and was told to "just donate it". I've never been inside the store so I can't speak to that but being rude to someone via phone as standard practice is not somewhere I would take my business. read more

This store has a poor policy about receiving goods to sell. Store never verbally told me that when an item sells, a check is issued. It is not mailed to consignor. They do not notify by phone or email when item sells. If customer wants check mailed, customer must provide a self addressed stamped envelope. I was never told of this verbally. One of my items sold more than six months ago. Since I did not physically enter store to get proceeds( didn't know it was sold) the check was void and shop retained proceeds. The other piece of furniture ,I was told, didn't sell within 90 days. Since I wasn't notified the furniture became store 's ownership. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE This store doesn't even deserve one star!!! read more

I love poking around in consignment shops, you can almost always find something good! Spoken like the true Rhode Islaner I am...... "This place used to be where Kingston Camera was & then it moved across the street to where Wakefield Prescription was" That is how we give directions & such. I have bought items from here, never brought items in to consign. They have a great mix of dishes, furniture, art, dressers, desks, plates, vases, crystal, you name it! They recently expanded the space of the store & I have to say that since then I have seen a bit of a price increase. Now I stop in here about 2-3 times a month, I visited the old store, I just think some, if not most items are over priced. They do have a "clearance section" towards the back & I picked up a $45.00 green glass vase last week for 3 bucks! Worth the time to check out! read more

Beware! Unscrupulous business practices when consigning--- After consigning many items, I was asked to leave self-addressed envelopes for the owner to send any funds that I earned from the sale of my items. Over the period allowed for such earnings, I earned $200.00 from the sale of many items, and I never received one dime! Ms. Marianne Sullivan claimed that she questioned how the envelopes were addressed so she never sent any of the five checks that her so-called paperwork indicates. When I recently went into the store to retrieve these checks I was told that the owner mailed them. This seems to be more deceit; ten days and have not received anything. In my opinion, this constitutes fraudulent business practices and needs to be looked into because it appears by other reviews that this is not the first time this has happened. read more

Went to Consignment Ltd! I ended up purchasing a table, rug and cabinet hardware. I purchased a rug with a white background that was on the floor in an aisle and was walked on a lot by the shoppers. If I bought it, it had to be cleaned professionally. I asked a worker about it and it had one more markdown. To convince me to buy it she said you can have it for the last markdown price. I decided to buy it knowing the extra money I saved would go towards the cleaning. She proceeded to tell the cashier the price. When I got home I noticed I got overcharged I proceeded to call them(twice within the week)so they could make an adjustment. No one ever called me back!! I won't be going back!! Have gotten some wonderful pieces here. And I've sold items here too. Recommend checking in frequently as items change all the time and prices are great. I'll never understand why people shop at new furniture stores without checking out consignments first - much better value and the furniture is real and interesting. Worst customer service ever. I brought them some stuff to sell two years ago. I don't remember signing a contract. I also don't remember hearing that it would be up to me to contact them about whether or not my stuff had sold. I finally went in to ask about it, and was told that my stuff was sold, but because I never followed up with them, they didn't have to give me the checks. That would not be great, but I didn't give them a hard time. Was told to call the owner (I think), Maryanne, on Friday. I called Maryanne, and without an attitude explained my situation. She couldn't have been ruder--was actually nasty. She did cut me the checks (with a fee taken out, that's fine), but she kept repeating over and over that she "did NOT have to do this," and how it was "TWO tax cycles ago!" I'm thinking, can't you just say no? Politely? I told her again that I thought it was a misunderstanding, and she said, "I really don't care." In her rant, she told me that there was no contract on file for me (I think it was her mother who did my intake when I first went in). I'm guessing that's why she cut me those checks, so she wouldn't get sued. If you have to say no, say no, but don't shame your customers over a misunderstanding. read more

One of my favorite things to do in the summer,when I vacation in Narragansett RI, is to visit Consignments Ltd! They have so many beautiful things and reasonable prices! If I can't fit what I buy in my car, I make arrangements to come back from CT with a truck. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. Very nice selection of merchandise and fair prices, but a very unfriendly and aloof staff/management. On two occasions I inquired about consigning goods and was treated with distain. Upon making purchases, I've been treated like they were doing me a favor. Such behavior is hard to take in an era of enhanced customer service. The owner/manager needs to read 'How to win friends and influence people' by Dale Carnegie. I am a town resident and do my best to support local businesses, but the business has to treat me with respect and courtesy. read more

I have been dealing with Consignments Ltd for four years now. When it opened I went to poke aound and found myself consigning!!!!! One of the best moves I have made. I have sold many items, including leather chairs, sofas, household items and have always been given a fair price....AND, if I am not happy with a price they have always worked with me to make sure I am "satisfied & happy." Not only have I sold my items but my mom's, mother-in-laws, aunts and nieces items as well. We are always greeted with a smile and conversation. The staff and owner have always been pleasant. When I have needed help getting items into the store they cannot do enough for you...and, when you purchase items, they are willing to work with you on "your schedule" to pick up items. They go out of their way to "make the customer happy". The store is very neat and clean and the items in the store are the same...no "JUNK". The way the store is set up is very well organized. The owner always greets you in the store and is willing to help you if you need her to. AND, if you are looking for something specific, they will be on the lookout for the item for you!!!!! How much better can it get!!!! They get my vote on how a business should be run...Love the store and can't wait to see new stuff arriving daily. Can't say enough about the good service as well.....check it out!!!!!! You WILL NOT be disappointed! read more

Great selection to choose from! They have a perfect mix of furniture for every style. I went in to get a dresser for my new house and the staff was all friendly and willing to help me find what I was looking for. And when there wasn't exactly what I needed, they told me they would notify me when something came in and sure enough 2 weeks later they had just what I needed. They always have a great selection of high quality furniture that is priced extremely affordably, which is perfect for anyone! And so helpful!! I will defiantly be a returning customer. read more

I went into this store hoping to find some small antiques for my business. Two things that are shocking- the overall quality of the merchandise is quite low, parts of the store look like a salvation army store on a bad day. I found some items completely misidentified. Worse, I was not greeted when I came into the store, instead I was ignored and had to ask for help with items in a case- I had to ASK for help, with a store employee only 3 feet away, trying to ignore me. I could not get a smile out of these people, I found them dour and sour. I only purchase things from people who can at least PRETEND to be polite to customers. I will not shop in this store again. I buy antiques every week, it is a shame that these people do not value every person who choses to visit the store. Not friendly at all. Rudeness. By the time I left the store, I was feeling a little rude myself. They should hire some nice people to work the front, and keep the grumpies out back somewhere. read more
