We thought maybe google was wrong but it was trying to get us to the open location. Midday and the first location we found was closed. My wife had heard of this place and as she doesn't really request many things to do or go too we made it a point to check it out. It is small but full of stuff, dresses, jewelry, purses, Halloween costumes! They had some great earrings and she got quite a few as well as a purse that looks like a tape deck radio/Boombox. She tried on a few dresses but couldn't quite find one she liked, but was excited they had dresses in all shapes, styles, and sizes! This close to Halloween and with the Halloween parade either that day or the next the Halloween costumes left were few but still some good ones. They had two dressing rooms, but there was storage in one of them so if the store needed something while you were in that dressing room you had to get dressed fast and let them through as soon as you could. It was fun and full of character, some earrings she found look like goldfish in a bag of water, Some cool skeleton hands to go with her Pharmacy Museum shirt, as well as some skulls and a few others. There was a sale of buy one get half off second. She finally told me I had to make her leave or she would spend all the money. To quote her: Shana: "My thoughts? I LOVED IT!"

It's more than just a vintage store. Every aspect of the shop feels intentional. It's an…read moreenvironment where people are invited to slow down and reconnect with themselves through clothing, style, and presence. But that's only what's experienced on the surface. If you could strip yourself down to your bare bones--who is looking back in the mirror, and how would you re-layer yourself to show up in the world? What version of you is on the other side, waiting to be expressed? Bdffrnt felt like a transformational space to me in a way that is rare. I experienced it as a place where you're encouraged to explore--not just the pieces, but how you feel in them and what they bring out in you. There's no pressure or force, just genuine warmth, guidance, and a sense of openness if you come in willing to engage with yourself. Astrid, the owner, brought a grounded and attentive presence. She was available in a way that felt supportive without being intrusive, which added to the overall feeling of ease in the space. She asks real questions to get to know you. She offers pieces you otherwise may look past. It's as if she sees the version of you often held back from the world, and encourages you toward what feels more fully expressed. Yes, through clothing, but also in life in general. It's less about shopping quickly and more about having a moment to reflect, try things on, and notice what resonates. A version of play that leads to self-discovery. What do you see in yourself through the process? What do you learn? What do you like, and what would you want to shift? A real experience unlike any other. Whether you leave with a new piece or simply a new perspective, the experience stays with you long after you walk out the door.

I don't usually venture to…read morethe FQ, but had to feed my vintage clothing obsession, knowing that this shop is associated with New Orleans' beloved Trashy Diva brand. This place was an absolute treasure trove of beautiful clothing and accessories. Y'all, this is not your average "Talbot's from the 90's" stock that many "vintage" stores contain (and yes I understand that 90's qualifies as vintage these days!) This is the place to go for a show-stopping special occasion dress from the 1940s, with intact jeweled buttons and a peplum detail at the waist. Or a flowing silk robe from the 1920s with a bold print of fans and florals. Or a beautifully carved sweater clip to accompany the fur-collared cashmere from 1950s. You get the picture! Now, this shop will have a higher price point than your average dig-through-the-rack vintage, because literally every piece is a gem. That said, the pricing is incredibly fair for what you are purchasing! I will treasure the pieces I bought from my visit last weekend, and can't wait to return! I also want to add that the shop employee Kim was just top notch! She was knowledgeable of each item and a joy to talk to. This place is a MUST VISIT for any vintage lover!!

There were several really fun pieces that I would've loved to taken home with me, but it wasn't in my budget for this trip. Lot's of cool nostalgic pieces for sure! The staff, especially Ashley, were friendly, professional, and responsive, even following up on an item that was promised after my visit. That said, my advice to future shoppers is simple: research before you buy. Chanel costume jewelry carries a premium because of the brand, but it is still costume jewelry and often does not contain precious stones or metals. I learned too late that some of the pieces I purchased were priced at more than double their market value. To be fair, I take responsibility for not taking a moment to compare prices online before making my purchase. The sales experience was persuasive, and I was led to believe I was receiving a significant discount. In hindsight, a quick search on my phone would have provided valuable perspective. This is not a reason to avoid shopping at Vintage 329. The merchandise is unique, stylish, and fun, and the staff were genuinely pleasant to work with. However, buyer beware: take a few minutes to research the item, understand its current market value, and make an informed purchasing decision. Doing so can help you avoid overpaying and ensure you feel confident about your purchase.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. This shop stole $200 from me…read more I bought a dress here at the end of April for $200. I took the dress home, then found out the event I had been planning to wear it to was canceled. The following Friday I went back to the store to return it. No one was there, despite the signage and the website saying the store should be open. I called the number on the website and a different number on the front door asking when their hours were. Didn't hear back. Okay, fine. I sent them an email. Never heard back. I went back to the store the following Sunday. They're closed despite the signage, again. So finally on May 16th I bring the dress down there a third time, on a Saturday this time, and they're open. They explained that they don't usually do returns, but that they'd allow me to make a return this time, in exchange for a gift certificate, but it would take a few days to process. They wrote down my email, phone number, physical address, and said they would get back to me by the following Tuesday at the latest. I also left the dress with them, which now I see was a stupid move. It's June 2nd! I've called them! I've emailed them! I've physically gone down there, and they were, surprise, closed when they said they would be open! They have obviously not responded to anything. So: I don't have a dress. They have my $200. They're not returning my calls. What am I supposed to think, here? I'm obviously never buying anything from them again, and I strongly suggest you don't either.
