Long stick squeegees and that was helpful for removing the bugs and grime from the windshield after a lot of driving. I went inside and prepared my coffee. Good choices, a half dozen or so creamer flavors and several different types of sweeteners. At the hot dog roller, the buns area was well stocked and there was a combination of "ready" and "still heating" hot dogs available in multiple flavors. It was the basic beef dog today and points off because the cheese dispenser was out and the chili was almost out. The other toppings options were needing restocking. This needs some work. In order to cut down on expenses, such as hotels and meals I sleep in my car and cook my meals, there too. Essentially, I am camping out of my car. Truck stops like Pilot and Flying J are really hard to come by in the rural parts of these states. And let's be honest, most of those states are rural. Would I really need those truck stops for is primarily showers and secondarily hot food. I read somewhere online that this place had showers. I stopped in and met Debbie. I asked about showers and was informed they are $10. Then she escorted me to the building where the showers are located behind the main building. They aren't brand new and fancy like the big truck stops, but they are clean and that's what I cared about. The water was hot with good pressure. And... It was hot for a long time. I don't know if this place is usually busy, but during my visit it was not busy. The café had already closed, but Debbie allowed me to sit at the counter and finish up some traveling paperwork. Debbie was very nice, very accommodating and very friendly. Her family started this business in 1952, so she knows everything there is to know about it and the area. I highly recommend this business.

This was in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic with as yet no available vaccines. Yet this was the only gas station that I remember in which all of the employees were "masked up." I'm speaking only for "Holiday Stationstore #470" at 1212 Mullowney Lane in Billings MT. I cannot speak for the rest of the stores in this chain. I was impressed that this gas station/convenience store seemed to go against the red state red tide anti-masking culture. And of course I always wore a mask when out in public in October 2020. Also, the price for regular gas was only $2.189 per gallon on October 2, 2020. No such luck with that low of a gas price in Washington! Yes, I know. I am sometimes slow at getting around to doing my Yelp reviews.
