So, our old dryer quit on us and we needed a new one. We wanted just a plain, simple dryer that had high, low and no heat settings, and we didn't want to spend as much as our rent....or more. Holy cow, there are some nice dryers out there, although you will pay for it. We had bought a washer here a few years back and the price and service was good so we decided to check them out again. We found a GE dryer and the price was definitely right; although I guess you have to buy a dryer connection kit for every new dryer now so that was an extra $30. We weren't too impressed with the delivery/installation charge, so we decided to just take it and hook it up ourselves. Luckily they had one in back, otherwise if you want to pick it up you have to go to their warehouse on 610 near the ship channel bridge. Of course the salespeople are all commissioned so they definitely want to help you a LOT, which isn't a bad thing. I didn't feel like we were being attacked so that was plus too. The connection kit they sold us had the wrong length of power cord so we had to go back up there and exchange but that's not really their fault. We should have looked a little closer at our outlet and where the connection was on the dryer. All in all is a quick, painless endeavor and we even bought a new vacuum as ours went out this morning too. I bought a tv and a entertainment center and they charge me 4000 dollars I was making payments and they tried to get me to put my card on file I said no and I opened the account in 02/25/2019 and I was making payments my job cut my hours, I went to talk to the manager he wasn't listening to me, I bought my stuff in Killeen Texas, They keep opening my account and closing it and it brings down my score and It should be against the law for them to do that they are not honest with customer's, they rip people off I went to court and I met their lawyer, I will never recommend them to anyone in my family and friends, I want something down about them. My brand new dryer has broken 3 times in a month. Each time I call for repair (because it's so new it's still under warranty) someone comes out, looks at it. Leaves to order the part. Returns a week later. Dryer is "fixed" for a week- repeat cycle. Meanwhile none of my household has clean clothing. Conns doesn't care about their products after you give them the money for them. For the love of all that is good- there are way too many reputable home appliance stores with way better quality products and customer service. This place is going out of business. This location only had 2 employee's on the floor and only 1 person was helping customers. I waited patiently because someone was there before me then after she got helped I went up to one of the guys and said I just needed to know a price on a bed frame because that's all I was shopping for and he said after he was done so I went and sat down and when I turned around he was helping someone else that got there after me. I am reviewing this because I paid a lot for a queen bedroom set and the furniture quality (rails) sucks. The metal part that is supposed to be attached to the rails fell out not too long after i paid it off. I used a small board to prop up that rail. Now the meral hook part fell out of the other rail! It let me know when the bed suddenly fell, leaning to the side last night. Conn's needs to sell products from quality focused furniture makers. I had tried contacting the maker last year to inquire about a new rail but never could get through and no one called me back. Sell quality stuff since it costs quality money. My brother & dad were told by the sales guy, it would be $88 a Month for two years for a new washer. A week after they got it they went to make a payment and they were told it is $88 twice a month for a year!! that is absolutely absurd! my brother had told the guy that he was trying to make the payment to they cannot afford that, so the guy said for my brother to make arrangements for some company to pick up the washer and take it to Salvation Army? And that Conns doesn't take the used one back!??! My husband bought a TV wall mount here, the price listed was $80 and when he went to pay, they said that it must have been in the wrong section because the actual price is $160. My husband double checked, and again on the shelf it was labeled $80 but they would not sell it to him for that amount. He paid the $160 and then left. Right after, he checked prices for Best Buy for the same wall mount and theirs cost $119! I called Conn's to ask about their return policy, the answer being "upon receipt of a returned item, there is a 15% restocking fee." 0 stars would be the rating. Our fridge has been looked at over 6 time and repaired around 4. They do not fix the problem and we've had our food spoil twice already. We went to the store where the manager told us we qualified for a replacement, a technician just had to go over and do the inspection to finish filing for the replacement. A technician went and he made a call after looking at the fridge and he was told that a replacement would not be done, he HAD to do a repair. He ordered the parts and they arrived, no one came for a week and then the guy who came was most likely about to get off his shift because he did nothing but kill time and order another part, when parts where already ordered. Two weeks later two technicians come and "repair" the fridge, even left us a number to text befor 10 a.m. because according to him it is the closing window for ordering parts. It is now the next day since the fridge was "repaired" and it is not working. We are very disappointed that Conn's throws the ball at LG and LG throws the ball at Conn's who then throws it at the technicians, and no one helps. I was greater by a sells man that was very timid and didn't listen to a word I said. I wanted a recliner and gave him my wants in a chair. He the 1st 3 chairs he showed me had 0 things I asked for. This review is a long one but please read to be aware of Conns and to learn from my experience!! Purchased a new fridge from Conns in Webster, TX on Nasa Rd. 1. The fridge was delivered a few days later. I noticed immediately that when it was being installed that one of the handles on the fridge was dented. This was caused by installers tightening the dollies belt to tight around the fridge. They offered compensation but I said no "it's a new fridge and I want it fixed or the handle replaced". The installer called into there dispatcher and installer said they will bring a new handle in a couple of days. I also signed there work order as well showing that. Well a week goes by and no calls from Conns. I called Conns and they said they would check on it and call me back, that didn't happen. Called them again and they set up a Wednesday appointment. Took off half day of work to be home during noon to 6pm time frame they had set for me, again a no show! Called back next day, Thursday, and they said they would investigate what happen and call me back, no one called me back. Called them back in the afternoon, lady said she does not know what happened but would create another work order and they would be out Friday between noon and 6pm. You guessed it, it was another no show and a waste for me of another 1/2 day of vaction. Called Saturday spoke to another lady at Warehouse and she said my work order was canceled! What the hell!! I said by who to her and she said she didn't know....... She then created another work order and said they would be out Sunday, again a no show on Sunday. Well mad as hell I spoke to a manager and he said someone would be out Monday. They showed up Monday and replaced the damaged handle. Finally!! Lesson # 1- If you can wait, if it's damaged in any way you might have the installers take it back to Conns!! Be leery of what I went through and take names with date and times!! Part 2. Conns talks a good game on price guarantee but here are some things to know! After me purchasing the fridge Loews, Sears, Home Depot all had the fridge about $200 cheaper. So I checked Conns Web site and it was no longer on it. So I called the Webster store and they said it was on Clearance now $200 cheaper they also said they had them in stock at the warehouse. So I called 2 other Conns to confirm at was given same answer as above. So I took all the printouts of Loews, Sears, Home Depot and the info from who I talked to at each Conns location to get my price adjusted. I spoke to my salesman and he said I needed to speak to the manager. I sorry but I do not remember his name but he was a tall black gentleman. First off he said the do not match Web site prices. I said well you can go or call them to verify the price. He said they only match newspaper adds. Well I said ok, you have it on sale yourself at the price there selling it for. He looked it up and said yes it's on clearance and we don't match clearance prices. What the hell. So let's see I purchased my fridge 1 1/2 weeks ago, you have a 30 price guarantee and you don't match you're own clearance price? About this time the manager is getting very hostel towards me. I told you are being dishonest about your price guarantee. He gets all huffy and puffy and jumps out of his chair and says he takes offense to me saying he's dishonest. Well I said if it's not you then Conns is. So I said to him, so let's see everyone drops there price on the fridge, instead of you marking it down as well, you say it's "Clearenced" to get out of paying someone the difference? Yes that is dishonest in my book!! I even called Conns Corporate and they back him up as well. Corporate did state I could return for $79. The manager told me it would be $79 + 129 handling fee!! Absolutely terrible with repairs and customer service . Our family has not had a working refrigerator for 3 weeks. I have placed multiple phone calls to technicians and advisors. The technician that came to fix the issue did not have the ability to fix it the first time. We were told it would be yet another week before someone can come and look at it again. Imagine not having a refrigerator working and trying to feed your children. Extremely displeased with all aspects of this company and their inability to resolve PRIORITY problems. This isn't a tv or a washer and dryer. You simply cannot afford to eat out three meals a day. There is supposedly a 30 day period within which Conns can fix or replace your appliance. I purchased an LG refrigerator from Conns and had it delivered. The first delivery arrived at 8 pm (scheduled between 10:30am-1:30pm). In bringing in the refrigerator it was badly damaged which I documented with photos. They agreed to bring another refrigerator (which I suggested be done in the daylight) and they brought the wrong refrigerator. An hour or so later the correct refrigerator arrived and was incorrectly assembled or mfg defective because the flex drawer would not close properly. The company refuses to replace/repair it and offered $269 discount. This refrigerator cost me $3700 and now does not have a properly functioning flex drawer and $269 should compensate? The item should be repaired but they are not willing to correct their mistake. Take my advice and choose another company to do business with. read more

Two stars here is being very generous, as I have not been happy with this company since the very first day I bought my furniture. Well, we came in for a new furniture set. Nothing crazy, just a couch and loveseat. Ended up adding a chair and ottoman to complete the set. So we're out the door. Next day, the guys bring the furniture. Everything looks great. We're excited. But now they let us know they cannot haul away. We call the store, get the run around, call corporate, nobody takes the call seriously.. or ever even gets back in contact with us. Whatever, we'll find a way to get rid of it. Get the furniture set up and now it's time to check out the new tv.. definitely not a Samsung, but some knock off low quality tv. Cool. Now comes time to make a payment and boy was I shocked when I saw the price. Much more expensive than we were lead to believe. Pretty shady store. Fast forward to now. Website was down when I tried to make my payment.. and for days following. I should have made my payment over the phone earlier, but I didn't. Instead I receive a dozen calls from disguised numbers.. no messages or anything. I assume telemarketers. Eventually I pick it up and it's conns trying to get my money. I make a payment and the man taking it asks if I'd like to pay next month's as well or just wait till it is due. I tell him wait til it's due. Look at my bank account 10 minutes later and two payments have been taken out. I'm not a hard person to deal with, and I never write negative reviews, but over the time I've been a conns customer, the customer service has been lousy and the staff has been dishonest and/or uninformed. The worst experience I have ever had! I go in there to buy a Tv and ask before finalizing the details if they price match? They reply "absolutely" so I check local retail competitors and find a cheaper price by 80 or so dollars. When I show them the competitor's price they proceed to tell me that I would have to provide a physical ad before they price match.. real convenient because they didn't mention that until after I went through the credit approval process... so I left. 5 days later as I'm shopping at Walmart I pick up their store ad and lo and behold they have the TV at the same discounted price. So I take the ad over to Cons and show them the ad and ask for them to match the price! AN HOUR or more LATER and after 3 managers talk, they call the district manager and ask for the approval. Bought a mattress for my teenage son back in sept. Less than a year later the mattress has a large dip and you can feel the coils. The mattress gets extremely flat when laying or sitting on it. Conns opened a warranty claim that took almost a month for them to send a tech out to look at the mattress after repeatedly trying to email the form and photos they were asking for. After getting approved for a replacement mattress which was supposed to be delivered the next day, it wasn't , then called and was supposed to be delivered the day after that. Its not. Not happy with this store or being lied to about when a replacement mattress was supposed to be delivered. In the mean time my kid is sleeping on a crappy defected mattress. Thanks conns. They brought the wrong recliner (it didn't match the sofa or love seat), they were missing half of the love seat twice, they forgot the TV. A disastrous experience. Sales associate had no answers. Went to Conn's Appliance just to purchase a microwave. No problems in the store making the quick purchase. We went straight to their warehouse to pick it up (20 miles away) in order to save an $80 delivery fee. The warehouse was ridiculously inefficient as we waited almost an hour for a microwave! I watched as large items were loaded for many customers that arrived after we had been waiting for over half an hour. I also watched as warehouse personnel stood around waiting for the items to be dropped for loading. It was not worth the aggravation for a microwave! This warehouse had no area for small pick ups and it appeared it was easier for them to handle the large floor items versus a microwave that was probably stored up high. I'd recommend they schedule appointments as their current system is inefficient and not working! I called the store and complained of the long wait and told them to just credit my card as I was going elsewhere for a microwave. I was told if I wanted a refund I'd have to drive back to the store (another 20 miles out of my way). The store manager wouldn't even speak with me, she just relayed the message. I first purchased a refrigerator from them...great appliance, delivery, and install. had a issue that was repaired quickly. Paid that off in the time frame so I did not have to pay finance charges. Decided to up-grade my washer and dryer so I shopped around...found that Conns was comparable to other stores, same price as Best Buy, lower than Home Depot and Lowes. Was approved for their financing and for the Conns credit card, 24 months same as cash. I had already done my research and knew what I wanted...when I spoke to the salesman, he listened, showed me a couple of alternatives, but I decided to go with my original choices. The salesman did not push, got the 24 months same as cash, arranged for delivery. Appliances were delivered when stated (they even waiting for me as I ran late), reps ran both appliances to make sure they were in working order, handled them carefully so as not to scratch or dent them, and all in all did a great job.
