I'm probably bias because I need a color that's hard af to find in stores year round unless I want my house to look like a year-round halloween cavern. But the only orange I saw was "autumn- shade," burnt, coral or with hints of pumpkins/ bats. Def not what I need. Also it gives off "overpriced amazon" vibes. I mean if you don't trust online shopping, I could see this being a decent store but them again I don't mind online shopping. So this place is a bit too much for my needs. First time to order from here. Placed order online- no place to add delivery instructions ie office hours Mon-Fri 8-5 and closed on weekends and security in the building will not accept packages. Contacted customer service and mentioned didn't ask for our office hours or any information. Customer Service woman said not a problem. We only deliver Monday -Friday 8 to 5. Wrong, Friday evening a text arrives that they're delivering on Saturday - contacted customer service. They said not our problem. You need to contact Federal Express. I had a terrible experience picking up an order at At Home. The female manager came up to me completely disrespectfully, as if I was wasting her time. I hate places like this. But there's something about this store that entices me every single time I've been here. Some folks come here for mattress replacements or fake Ficus trees -- there's much to choose from. Others browse the seemingly endless aisles of frames and art prints. As for me? I tend to get caught up in all of it. From candles to strings of seasonal lights ... garden stuff and other kitsch. On average, we spend about $100 per trip here, even when we have only come to browse and look for inspiration. I've never been a fan of the cashiers, as they remind me of someone auditioning for a 'Jay & Silent Bob' movie. But that's OK. By the time we reach them, I'm jazzed about the stuff in my basket. My wife and I drove 20 miles to return some things. They don't have a designated return area so we had to wait in a long line at checkout. We get there and the cashier tells us "oh I don't think we can take returns right now, but let me check with the manager" the manager is on her phone so we're just standing there waiting. She finally comes over and has an attitude and says their system is down. Very unprofessional. The cashiers were at least apologetic. The manager is a joke and has no idea how to treat customers. 2019: Another Christmas and still only three checkers open. Extremely long lines and very understaffed at the checkout. This makes absolutely no sense at a store of this size. There are only about 6 registers for the store but everyone of them should be open. 2018: Just a few days before Christmas and there are only three registers open and the isles are a mess (that I kind of get but only three registers open I do not). I only go into this store 2-3x per year. This time I noticed that while looking at dish racks, that some were priced higher than others even though they were identical. Then I noticed the more expensive ones had a sticker placed over the original price tag, marking up the price. That's when I started looking around and found nearly all items were marked up with these price stickers placed over the original price tag. Everything was marked up approximately 20%. When checking out, I showed the mark up to the cashier and she explained inflation and cost of gas, and I politely declined the items based on principle. Clearly the older items in the store were marked up, items ordered/purchased prior to inflation and high gas prices and have been sitting on the shelves for months whereas newer Fall and Halloween items had inflation built into the prices already. Sneaky, At Home. Not to mention the prices are already high. You can find half these things at other big box stores for cheaper. I appreciate that there was a cart sanitation area in the front for us to wipe down the handle of the carts and all the employees were wearing masks. There were also markers on the floor at the registers for social distancing and arrows for one-way aisles. This place only gets a 3-star review because many of the shelves were nearly empty? Not just seasonal, I get that those are being changed constantly. But bedding? There were more pillow aisles than comforter sets. Maybe I came at a time trucks haven't come in, but who knows. Just had the worst experience at this location. IT'S NOT OKAY! I walked in to see how big the rug inventory was so that I could shop here tomorrow. I walked into the store at 8:46 pm - yes I know they close at 9, at least I thought! I didn't grab a basket, I literally walked in to view how big the rug section was-that's it. The young man at the door was bringing the chairs in, simply smiled and let me pass. As I walk through the door, a woman, assuming this was the manager on duty, says " Ma'am, we're about to close." Assuming she was going to tell me I had less than 15 mins , instead she says "You have 5 minutes," I look at my phone-it's on camera and say " I thought you all closed at 9?" She goes in to say, normally we would but tonight we're closing earlier. I asked why and she said, " We've already done inventory and we've counted down our registers so when these registers shut down, we can't get them back up"". Frustrated, I say okay and proceed to the rug section being that I only have 2 mins left. But as I'm walking, a lady says over the speaker that the store closes in 10 minutes. SERIOUSLY!!! Corporate please! Oh yeah-there were many other people shopping comfortably. Once I got to the front of the store at 8:54 pm she says to the ladies who were not black, that the store is ABOUT to close-yet she made sure I KNEW I NEEDED to be done around 8:52 as the store WOULD be closed. Well $600 later we met Mrs Sharon and she was really nice and she asked us to get a credit card and I told her no but she was very persistent. She told me how much I needed. I've purchased things from this store on 3 separate occasions in the last 3 years and all of it has broken apart in some way. My world atlas picture fell off the wall because the wood split where the wire hanger fixes to the frame and it came from the store "ready-to-hang" so it's not like I installed the wire wrong, it was already installed bybthe manufacturer. My 3 bar stools have all broken apart simply from sitting on it. One time was myself a fairly average sized man and again by a 5yr old that was simply sitting down to color. I threw the 3rd in the trash. My cooking utensils at this point have either snapped or separated from the handle and I purchased enough supplies to stock my whole kitchen. Ikea has better stuff and better prices. I'll drive the extra hour to get better made things. This store SUCKS! read more

This review is in hopes that management will see this! Didn't get any names so hopefully descriptions will help! I have been in a couple of times. A few months ago service was awful this visit a few days ago was VERY NICE young guy with a pony tail helped me A LOT and was so nice the whole time! He even came back in from parking lot when he was leaving to help again. Then, the cashier a really tall thin guy stopped what he was doing and went to go get a big shelf off of rack for me. I told him I didn't need help outside but once I got out there I thought maybe I should have had him help me. Two young guys were outside on break and one, I think, Hispanic guy, with short hair hopped up and said hey let me help me with that. It was just a great experience all around :) thanks! read more

I guess Garden Ridge was getting too confusing because they don't sell just mainly garden things..in fact every time I go I see a lot more things like home decor. This store used to be my mum's a time favorite. I remember coming to this shopping with her when I was a kid. Anywho, this store has a wide variety of home decor. Fake flowers, wreaths, furniture, lighting, vases, art, statues, sculptures, gardening pots, mirrors, candles, and even snacks. You name it they have it. If you come on the weekend, expect to be crowded in an aisle. The ladies restroom was clean and didn't smell horrible. Although, the door to the ladies restroom is filthy. You can see a slight change color--from teal to a brown color indicating the amount of germs and bacteria that is building up. They have a special aisle for damaged furniture..it is usually marked down. Additionally, they have a clearance aisle too. Oh and an aisle for rugs and pillows of different shade of color. I tell you what that store is a maze. There baskets aren't thick like ones at Walmart--instead they are smaller in size and a bit narrow. Glad we stopped in here, At Home is way better than Garden Ridge ever was. The store overall was clean and the isles were clear and the items were well organized. The store is huge so you could spend hours in here. Overall- lots of items at great prices. We went in shopping for frames and walked out with two for $35- versus Michael's where one frame runs that price. We browsed furniture and outdoor patio cushions, but we're on a time crunch and decided to wait on these items. I will be back to purchase from here though. I was impressed with the selection and again, you can beat the prices. I look forward to be back and browse some more! read more

I went last week and they already had all their Christmas decorations out! Since I was there to purchase Christmas decorations that was perfect for me! They were also playing Christmas music the whole time, although it was the first week in November! lol. I'm not complaining, I love Christmas! They had everything I was looking for and then some. I thought their prices were fair, and although nothing was on sale you wouldn't expect it to this early in the season. I know someone said they were there the week before Christmas and he store was a mess, well guess what... customers do that and sometimes these stores are understaffed. I don't mind that as long as their prices stay competitive. The store was pretty organized when I was there though. I am a fan and definitely recommend garden ridge! read more

I have even seen some of the SAME FURNITURE that they have here at Marshall's. Same price as Marshall's too just Incase y'all are wondering. So we had our hearts set on these particular kitchen stools and decided to come back next weekend to buy it. Well..., it was gone!!! BUTTTTTTTTT guess what? I decided to look it up online and I found it online for $30 cheaper WITH FREE SHIPPING. So I would still come into the store and if u like something, look it up online bc you might be able to save yourself some money. I don't think they price match. I think I was probably about 10 years old or so the first time I went to a Garden Ridge. Being a crafty kid, whom has now aged into a crafty, thrifty and shopaholic adult I have a new found love for this everything but the kitchen sink kind of store. I stopped into this Garden Ridge over the weekend to start getting some inspiration for some home and garden improvements for this Spring. They already had their summer items put on display, so as I contemplated bird baths, bird feeders and wreaths I had ideas rushing through my head. Besides outside materials they also sell some furniture, kitchen gadgets, silk plants/flowers, bedding, mirrors/wall hangings and to my sheer happiness...nursing scrubs! I ended up leaving with a hammock and metal stand for my backyard, 6 pairs of scrub pants for work, a bag of peanut M&M's and two new rugs for the front and back door. All totaling about $130...not too shabby if I must say so! read more

In my hunt for cheap-o chairs for my dining room, a co-worker suggested Garden Ridge. I went to their website and it just didn't have a lot to offer. They did have their sales page up there with all their specials. I was impressed with the huge discounts. The place is like a large warehouse, but it was pretty well spread out without having that cramped feel. Everything is on the cheap, so don't expect anything high quality. Think Target meets Costco meets Hobby Lobby. There was a huge section for kitchen things. Spatulas, dishes, vases, and all sorts of goodies were around. If I could bake, I'd find myself picking up cute, cheap cake platters here. I always end up forgetting my serving plates whenever I bring food to a party, so this will be a great resource for me! As far as furniture and decor stuff, there was plenty to look through. There were plenty of comforters available, though I didn't bother to check the quality. They did have some pillows available that I may have to go back for. I finally got to the chairs. The bar stool collection is much more extensive, though they all tended to be in the shorter height which doesn't work for my place. I found quite a few dining room chairs that meet the generic requirement of being boring and durable. The current special is buy one, get one half off. Not bad. They had a few couches and arm chairs as well, and all for really cheap. What I was most excited about was how cheap their holiday decorations were. I'm really going to actually decorate for Christmas this year (I've been saying this for years now) and they have trees for so cheap! All their decorations are on sale right now and I figure I can get a tree, two sets of lights, and all other decorations for under $100. Not bad at all. I think I'll be back for fun decorations. And for those of you who are real bargain shoppers, they have Halloween decorations on major, major sale right now! read more

I came here to look at Christmas decor and what a huge selection they have! Trees, lights, nutcrackers, super cute gingerbread houses, and everything else. I love the ornaments, they're all organized by color which makes it easy. This is a huge store and it's very affordable. They have some CUTE decorations for the home. I do NOT recommend the furniture there though. It's CHEAP. I bought patio furniture there and within a year it was rusting. And it was on a covered balcony. Then we bought an umbrella, and we got it set up before we realized there was a giant crack in the pole that supported it. I placed an order online for store pick up. Received the confirmation email that I would be contacted within 24 hours to pick up the order. When I did not get any notification, I called several times before getting through, only to be told that by the manager that they sold the two of the art canvases they had in stock the same day? Really? Then they told me that they cancelled the order, but the manager was waiting to make sure it was correct? What? I never received anything cancelling the order, so this is just made up. So, basically, do not trust anything you see on the online store inventory, as it is not correct. And do not trust anyone at this store to get your order right. I find it irresponsible and dangerous that this store is not enforcing face coverings and axial distancing at this time . I had to ask a couple to back up 3 times that were not wearing any masks . I finally raised my voice on the 4th time to say Back up! The store clearly has a sign stating face covering are required. I also saw a young woman running around the store with no mask. I understand there are certain exemptions, but there is a responsibility to keep your distance . People are so damned selfish and ignorant! read more
