I, like others reviewing, received a credit pre-approval in the mail and filled out the online form. A sales person called me within literally 2 minutes to schedule me to come into the store and have a look at refrigerators. I went in and found what I liked (refrigerator and a washer/dryer combo) but found out that, unlike literally every other appliance store, they require insurance on the product and will happily charge you for it if you don't have home owners or renters. I do have home owners insurance so I told them I would get a copy of it and come back at a later date. I should have never stepped foot in there again... Here is a list of things that happened to me from start to finish when dealing with the Hurst, TX location. 1. Initial order in their antiquated order system (using AS400 I think) failed to push to "corporate" office, so my family had to stick around 45+ more minutes (after closing) to complete buying process. 2. Salesman forgot to remove the additional insurance on the second order he put in the system. I called him multiple times after finding it on my account to have it removed, he said he would fax the info into corporate but never did. I eventually got it removed after multiple more calls to corporate myself. 3. Initial delivery was supposed to occur on a Saturday. I carved out the afternoon waiting, delivery never occurred and no one called to notify me, wasted the entire day. 4. I had to call the delivery department multiple times and threatened to just cancel the entire order but eventually the store manager promised a 15% discount on the refrigerator I ordered if I scheduled another delivery, I agreed. 5. Delivery occurred eventually but the washer hose was missing. Someone from the store had to personally drive it to my house. 6. Found that the 15% discount was never applied to my account, had to make multiple calls to store/corporate to get it fixed. 7. Dryer door broke after having the appliance for 3 months. 8. Initial tech didn't bother to bring requested part, he ordered it. Another Saturday wasted. 9. Part took 2 weeks to arrive. 10. Tech replaced part but the problem still isn't 100% fixed, awaiting secondary part to repair myself. Dealing with this company has taken hours and hours of my time and tested my patience to it's limits. I will never do business with Conns again and am trying my hardest to let every single person I know to not do business with them either. read more

They now refuse to replace it, the hang up every time i call or transfer me to someone else, sometimes a dept that has nothing to do with it. If I could give this place something less than 1 I would. My grandmother has a small A/C unit that has been out for just over 2 weeks now. She along with several members of our family have been in contact with this place and all we get are unfulfilled promises that it will be replaced(it is under warranty). The. Communication at this business is horrible(specifically the warehouse)!!! Not only with customers but with their fellow employees. My grandmother is almost 70 and has been in a hot house in TEXAS!!!! I'm only giving them 1 star because toggling it is required to write a review. I'm a new conn's customer and had just received a washer and dryer (financed of course) and it has come with extra. One of the units is hosting a rat. I received them Tuesday and Wednesday night I had the displeasure of finding out what the noise coming from them was. By Thursday morning I was calling customer service, the warehouse and whomever else I could to take care of the matter. I've even requested to speak with a manager/ supervisor (have not received a callback). Ultimately they tell me they cannot help me because of the picture that were taken at delivery of the drums of the units and they "appear" fine. When the fact that the rodent is NOT in the drum was pointed out they rebutted with the question "you would expect us to take the units apart and take pictures of the inside?"... but obviously missing the point that that would be what I would have had to do to even know NOT to have accepted the units to avoid this situation. I'm upset because I've asked for finding for this, it's my first alliance purchase, I've paid for insurance and warranty for piss poor service and accountability. I'm offended that the representatives and manager Mariah (like the singer, said she the only Mariah. Yes this is how she wanted to be remembered) some to me as if I live in filth with a gang of rats. And this was after they were informed of my children's health issues ( I have a child with respiratory issues and another allergic to rodents). I've been trying to resolve this issue with my warranty on my Samsung refrigerator since April the tech came out to repair my ice maker but accidentally turned off the refrigerator and well as freezer ruined all my natural foods took them 3 weeks to come back due to ordering a part he can and turned it on needed another part still not resolved last tech came a week ago and said they owe me a new refrigerator and a $250.00 voucher I called this week and they said he never submitted this. I would give a negative star if I could. This was the first purchase from this company and definitely the last. The floor reps were great but the management and company policies are horrible. I purchase $4500 worth of product and got treated like crap after the fact. Conns would not take back two mattresses that smelled like chemicals. Worse customer service ever. We bought a Dyson vacuum and it stopped working couple months later. Came to Conns to exchange it due to the extended warranty. Then new vacuum broke again we called again to get a replacement and said we did not have the warranty anymore we had to call for months to corporate to get this resolve and it turned out we also had extended warranty because we paid for it. Now they told us to take it to this location to get a new one and the manager was so rude and wouldn't even help at all. We are outside the store calling corporate again and they said we do have an approved exchange but now we have to sit here and call corporate and be on the phone trying to resolve this issue that Conns should be fixing since we pay our bill every month worse experience ever we cannot wait to finish paying everything we got from Conns because we will never shop here again!!! read more

Our Dryer died unexpectedly on a Wednesday so I went to Conn's on Thursday to see about getting a new one we had purchased a washer last year from this location and were very pleased. The staff in the store is great the whole finance portion took about 5 minutes and I had the dryer scheduled for delivery and was out the door in about 15 minutes (I went right when they opened). They scheduled the delivery for Friday. I had to work but their was a family member there. On the morning of the delivery I was watching them off load the dryer from my doorbell camera. There were two gentlemen that I observed doing the delivery. One gentleman was placing our old dryer on the curb while the other one attempted to remove the new dryer out of the truck by himself. He lifted it off the edge of the truck and began walking backwards with it. He then seemed to lose control of the dryer and dropped it to the ground. My camera only records when it detects motion so sadly I can't download what I saw because I was watching it live and the men were to far away to trip the record sensor I called the the family member who was home but could not get in touch with him so I called Conn's to tell them what happened and alert the delivery crew what I had witnessed. Conn's said they would have the delivery crew go back and make sure it worked. Well I called several times that day and they never returned I kept on getting the run around about how they would let the delivery team know. My wife and I started up the dryer and all the functions appeared to work but within two minutes of running the vent sensor came on. The delivery crew had not installed the vent hose properly. My wife and I were able to reinstall the vent hose properly. But Conn's still haven't contacted me about coming back out and making sure everything is ok. read more

Has horrible customer service skills and no one actually knows what they're talking about once I get my laptop back I plan to NEVER shop here again. Alright, so we are gonna start August in 2018 my laptop mouse started to malfunction. I took it in due to it being under warranty. They told me they would call me when it was ready. I called in August and Septemeber to see if it was done due to no one reaching out to me. They couldn't find my ticket number could they tell me my status on my laptop. Those past two months was still paying my monthly payment for my laptop. October I went into the store to verify my laptop was in the service department. I had gotten verification from an employee on site that it was still in their service department and was finally told they had ordered the mouse over a month ago. I went to the store again mid-October and the women I talked to told me she was waiting for the service team to verify that I was going to get a store credit. I had expressed me moving and that i felt the credit would be perfect. November we moved away to Maryland and I had got in touch with their corporate who told me my laptop was at the store ready for pick up. But I had been told I was going to have store credit so now I am nowhere near the location where my laptop is. I tried to get my mother to pick up my laptop but they told me it wasn't allowed without proper verification which has to be the person who is on the account. I just got off the phone with customer service today where they have told me they can not ship my laptop like I was told they would do and the only way I can get my laptop is if I go all the way back to Texas from Maryland to go to this specific store to pick up my laptop. read more

very disorganized and not concerned about service. they act like you're bothering them when you're trying to correct their mistake. i attempted to purchase a refrigerator online. somehow it ordered 3 refrigerators at 3 separate times, took forever to get it sorted out. then when they sent me the 'corrected' contract the price was incorrect. they literally told me to sign it because they couldn't correct it until it was signed. apparently they cant correct computerized contracts in 2022. made NUMEROUS phone calls to get it corrected. requested a manager or supervisor contact me. ended up calling twice to just get the order cancelled. got a refrigerator elsewhere. read more

I went back on Black Friday to purchase a TV and sound bar and Stephen was very helpful again. This was a much more pleasant experience especially since we just left with our merchandise and didn't have to deal with the delivery scheduling issue. They had a great deal on a TV I wanted which is why I gave them another shot. I was glad I did because Stephen is a great salesperson and extremely helpful. Do not buy a mattress from Conns.. It's been over a week and no resolutuon. The mattress we purchased for 3000.00 came with Bed Bugs.. We discovered them 5 weeks after delivery. Our exterminator is here and told us that the infestation that he sees is well over 5 weeks in the making and that he is 95 percent sure it came in on the mattress. As me and my wife have been in this house for 12 years with not a bug.. Nothing .. We do not travel. We have not been in a hotel in over a year. So doing all those calculations it was determined either it began in their warehouse or in the Truck it was delivered in as they take old mattress from other locations and place them in the truck.. So the transfer happened almost certain on Conns end..We have been a valued customer of theirs for over 10 years and to be treated with 'Its not our fault attitude' No offer of treatment or replacement I will never use or recommend them to even my worst enemy.. Literally received the worst service I have ever received from a company. My husband and I bought a fridge from these people and 18 months later it went out. We lost over 1k worth of food between the fridge and freezer. We called them as we paid for the extended warranty. As of today, we have taken 3 days off of work, they have rescheduled 3 times, we (young family with an infant) have been without a fridge for almost 3 weeks. And they flat out don't care. Finally got someone out to fix it not only was it a "quick fix" job (it was broken the follow week)but they left the parts on my front pouch. Now a week in a half ago my refrigerator gone out called guy comes out checks its says it's the compressor and he needs to order parts will come back sat. Sat rolls around no repairman I call they say I had to call to set up the time....WTF that's YOUR job....guy comes monday seals the compressor stressed about giving him a great review....this monday it's out again...I call them and now they are saying corporate returned my warranty and I will have to pay for it. So I went down to Conn's filled out a credit app and got approved and bought a new one- (less than $700). Sales transaction was great. Delivery on time. (((FYI - they have a 10 day grace period for payments past your due date on their contract.))) They WILL BESIEGE you with calls ALL DAY LONG, if you go past your due date. I called and told them on payday I would make a payment in the store -(2 days past due date.) Pure insanity! To talk to anyone in customer care you have to verify your full address, last 4 of social, your birthday, your email - to EVERY PERSON YOU GET TRANSFERRED TO--OMFG..!!! All I wanted to do was tell them my payment would be made 2 days late... and the automated calls continued..... Won't be doing business with them again. To Corporate: Purchased a washer/dryer and had to wait 2 weeks to use it. Your delivery facility's customer service is HORRIBLE. I am a Customer Service Regional Coordinator and strongly recommend a Kaizen for that area of your business. I was hung up on and transferred repeatedly. Most of the representatives could not find my account. I asked several times not to be placed on hold and was placed on hold anyway. Called from my cell, held for 36 minutes, remained on hold and called from my work phone, just to be placed on hold by the same rep. This carried on for 2 days before I got actual assistance. Finally spoke with a manager named DERRICK who promised to get someone out to help me and he sent them out on the wrong day! I had to demand that a driver be sent back out because it was not my error. For TWO WEEKS I experienced the worse customer service of my life, all because the delivery guys did not turn on the water!!! You guys ended up sending out 6 people! The 2nd set barely pulled the unit out and deemed it "defective". I surmise that this diagnosis was due to the fact that I was their last stop at 5pm. Thankfully you guys sent out QUINCY and VICTOR who took the time to find a solution. They pulled the unit out, tightened the hoses, and turned the water on. I had explained to the previous techs as well as everyone I spoke with, that the washer gave an error code which stated there was an issue with the hoses and water. QUINCY and VICTOR are definitely assets to your team!!! I would appreciate a call to give full details of the nightmare I experienced. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! We bought a new Samsung TV from this CONNS. Almost a $3000 purchase. Sales people were extremely pushy, obviously work off commission. Even on the way out the door my wife and I were asked to give them a good survey. We were asked three times and reminded that 4 stars is failing and 5 is passing. Who ask for a survey? Aren't those supposed to be earned?!?! Life a fool I originally gave them those 5 stars but read on. Moving on, we get the TV home and get it all setup. Unfortunately, the picture was unbearable, motion blur, screen judder etc. even running 4K or blue ray. We decided to take it back, this is when it got even worse. No help carrying in the product, they sure were in a hurry to help us carry it out. Rude customer service right off the bat. Asking me if anyone knew I was coming and that I should have called ahead. Didn't know I needed to call a big box retail store in advance to return an item. The manager gave me a hard time about the return, it's our best seller he said, must be on your end he said. After explaining my home setup and basically having to prove I wasn't to blame he took the TV to the back and unpacked it. Oh yes, I had to pack it perfectly to return it. CONNS clearly says it has to be packed in all its original packaging or they will charge you. My wife and I browsed for another TV but they did not have what we were looking for so we sat on the couch patiently waiting for them to tell us they would return the item and give us our money back. When the manager returned he said everything looks good and then asked me how I would like to pay the $330 dollar restocking fee? At this point my blood is boiling, $330 dollar restocking fee, rude customer service, pushy sales people and on top of it all asking me for a good survey. This is NUTS!!!! I do not wright reviews very often but this experience warranted a review, to follow up with CONNS I contacted customer service and tried to escalate the situation. TICKET#489684 but nothing has happened. Just an i'm sorry but no real effort on upper managements part to make this right. So to put it all in perspective, my wife and I learned a valuable lesson. DO NOT SHOP AT CONNS. They will not and do not take care of you if you have a problem or issue with the purchase. On a side note, we did find the TV we were looking for at Best Buy. Not only do the sales people not work off commission but they have superior knowledge when it comes to the actual functionality of the units sold VS a sales person saying, Oh, I just bought this TV and you are going to love it and would you like some HDMI cables, how about some furniture, are you sure you don't want a new stand for your TV? Come on, you need new cables right? UGH!!!!!! So frustrating!!!! I completed an online credit app and soon received a call telling me I was approved. The lady on the phone was pretty aggressive about having me visit their store. I declined to set an appointment at the time. I did visit the Hurst store today about an electric range. I found the exact same range on the Home Depot website at a much lower price. Since I saw that Conns had a lowest price guarantee, I brought a printout to see if they would honor their pricing guarantee. The sales guy reminded me of a used car salesman at a low end car lot. No product knowledge evident here. He confirmed my credit line but with a different amount that the original lady I spoke to last week. After some back and forth with his manager (just like a car lot), he told me that he could honor the lower price. He tried to get me to pay the listed price and said that I could come back within 30 days for an extra 10% of the price difference (about $9). I guess he gets a better commission if he does not have to honor the price guarantee. I then asked about how I would make payments on the credit account. Their accounting system is straight out of the 1980's. Mailing a check or bringing a check to their store are their preferred methods. No internet payments here. I then asked about their free delivery. It's only free if I pay for it first and then mail in a rebate form. Since this rebate game often results in lost or misplaced forms, I don't care for this nonsense. Overall, Conns is like a low end car lot. I took my business elsewhere. read more

I'm not surprised by the 1 star reviews. Looking over my paperwork, i was severely ripped off! I bought a cheap king sized mattress and a 42 inch LG TV. This was during the memorial day sale in 2014. They delivered the products a few days later. The mattress had a small stain for which they offered something called a "concession". I asked the men to set up my TV and they declined yet these people will harrass you for 5 stars on the follow-up phone survey. The delivery men had the nerve to ask for 5 stars and conns calls you harrassing you for 5 stars. When i gave my phone feedback, i told conns that the men refused to set up my TV and there was a small stain on the mattress. So, i had to set aside some time for the men to return to set up my TV. I had to call all over conns to recieve the 30 buck concession check. I called the store, the warehouse, customer service and messaged them on Facebook before i received the check! My TV was significantly cheaper at wal mart. Conns has price matching but i couldn't get a sales paper with the TV advertised in it so that was their excuse for not giving me the difference. I complained to the BBB and conns offered me a 50 buck gift card. What was I going to do with it if i can't make a SMALL purchase with them? Being ripped off by them once was more than enough! I counteroffered to at least give me 100 dollar gift card and i heard nothing else. This month, i paid off and closed my account and because of this, they claim I'm not owed a refund on my insurance. I don't recall agreeing to the insurance to begin with! I paid for warrenties that I've yet to use. Doesn't a mattress COME with a 10 year warrenty? I can't believe i fell 4 that! I went to hurst yesterday and i couldn't get a queen mattress at 699.99. Apparently all the queens at that price point r "out of stock" chain wide with no replenishment date in sight! Looking at my contract with them, these cons have more than ripped me off, they made stupid exscuses 4 not refunding my insurance, i still haven't recieved my warrenty refund check and they keep telling me that i cancelled my extended warranty on my king mattress; but when i told them that i still have the form that i faxed them requesting only that my tv warrenty be refunded, they changed their tune. The worst experience buying furniture at Conns Hurst TX. I purchased a living room sofa and recliner. The furniture was broken and it needed to be repaired. They sent several tech but never really fixed the problem. On the contrary they added to it. I wanted the sofa replaced. Their warranty will not replace furniture if they feel it can be fixed Finally after almost 6 months I called the better business. It was amazing how fast they respondent to the BBB and I have my sofa changed within a week. Still the furniture is inferior and would have been better off going to goodwill. That is where this furniture is going to wind up. Well, I have a problem with the recliner and I just place another claim. I will never ever I mean ever purchase anything from Conns again. I would never recommend anyone to this furniture store. In all fairness the people I dealt with were friendly and hopeful. They desire better along with the customers. AT this point they aren't worthy of any stars. I purchased my son a Dell Laptop 1000.00, for use in college on May 28, 2018 on August 8, 2018 the screen went blue. He took it to the store to get repaired. He was told 5-7 days because that's when the technician would be in the store. I called the number on the ticket to follow up. I was told at that time it was in transit and they weren't sure why my son was told that time frame because it takes up to 10 business days to get to a repair technician then it would be updated in the system on the status. Fast forward and 10+ phones calls later, it's still in "transit" (ie. we don't know where it is), and I am continuing to get the run around. A "help" ticket has been created and I am supposed to receive a call back in 72 business hours with a resolution. We shall see. Channel 5 News will be my next phone call if I don't get any decent rectifying information. read more

Lousy automated delivery system. if you want to talk to a person, prepare for a long wait.

I wish that I would have looked at reviews before making a purchase with this company. To say it's shady is an understatement. I researched before buying my living room furniture and decided on a set I love from them. Unfortunately, everything I was told being preapproved, totally changed when it was time to sign. By the time I walked out I was paying around double, but I'm selling my home so I figured it wasn't such a big deal because the financing wouldn't be long anyway. However, they will not provide receipts, nor can you find any information online telling you how much you owe or that has been applied. I have overpaid for months and have begged for weeks for some sort of receipt and account statement. I have been hung up on and been given the runaround both on the phone and online, with no satisfaction. This is the most unprofessional company I've dealt with. They even force you to pay for insurance, which they try and make you sign a statement that they are not forcing you to do so. Which I did not sign. I do have insurance but it is not their business, they get paid regardless. I have my doubts that this is even legal. This place is a scam! I am happy with the product, but I want to simply pay what I owe. They are shady, shady, shady. Don't ask for anything in writing, suddenly they have no idea why you would even want that. Besides once you have made the purchase you can enjoy the offshore employment they provide, which has no clue what you are even referring to just to add to your frustration. Bought a refrigerator here that went smoothly got delivered Sunday delivery dudes couldn't get the fridge through the front door instead of asking if I had another door they just tried to take my front door off the hinges which I had to stop them then they just took the door off the hinges to the refridgerator bought it in the put it back together and they where un level instead off fixing the worker told me when I put food in the door they will level it self over time and when they bought in the refridgerator in had two big scratches one on each door and in such a rush to leave the left my house without there dolly 40 min later they came back in called report the problem with my fridge the next day another team came out to fix my un level fridge which they fixed but they broke a compartment with the inside which they said they replace been two week 6 phone calls 3 refence number and still no call back about my two scratches on my door the broke compartment in the fridge all the help desk ever said is your case is re open management will call you in 72 hour.
