I made a CASH PURCHASE of over $8ooo.00 for SAMSUNG kitchen appliances. The refrigerator handle came off of the freezer part soon after purchase. I also purchased extended warranty for the appliances. I am told I have to fix the door MYSELF although they had a company install the appliances. Now comes May 31st 2023. It's the last day I can exchange the television and everything needed to be done this day. ( I couldn't bring it back sooner due to my work schedule in which I travel.) He then went to the back to see if the television was there and came back and said it wasn't there I questioned what do I do now? Some of the payments I made were not credited to the account. They send me an online application to my email to cancel the insurance but when you try to fill it out, you can't, you have to print it out, ​fill it out and then send it back instead of just emailing it back. To Conn's Corporate Customer Service: On Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at approximately 8:30 PM my wife and I purchased an HP 27" All in one PC as a Christmas gift from your Hurst, TX 76054 Location. We got home and wrapped it up and put it under the Christmas tree. We opened the computer and tried setting it up on Monday Christmas night. The computer did not set up the wireless connection upon start up. HP was closed for the holiday so we contacted them Tuesday afternoon and was on the phone with them for 3.5 hours. We had to hang up as they were about to close....so they called back the next afternoon on Wednesday and continued the call. They were not able to resolve the issue so we packed the computer up and brought it back to the Hurst, Texas location where we purchased it at. We set the computer up for the sales associate Bo to see. He looked at it and saw that it was not working. At that time, the store Assistant Manager Steven Sanchez got involved. He claims that he had to call the Executive Vice President to do an even exchange for a defective computer that we purchased a week earlier. After sitting in the store and waiting for almost 90 minutes without an update, I asked Steven what was going on and he was rude to me. I asked him why he won't exchange my computer for me and he says it is policy. I told him that I paid $1,700 for a computer and I want one that works. He says he didn't like my attitude and I needed to leave the store and take my computer with me. My wife went back the next day after she was off work, and Steven tells her that she has to come back again another time because he has not heard back. Cheryl had called Conn's Corporate about the issue that she was having, and they said they could not see that he even tried initiating a claim, and that they could not do anything until he tried. She asked Steven Sanchez to try and call again and he refused. She told him that it is not right that we are being inconvenienced... and he snaps back.... "how are you being inconvenienced?" She responded that she purchased a computer over a week ago that she can not use, and that she has had to drive thru traffic and on toll roads twice, and now she will have to come back a third time. He responded with I still do not know how you are being inconvenienced at all and was rude to her about it. This was on Thursday. On Sunday afternoon on New Years Eve, my wife Cheryl went back to the store and spoke with her salesperson Bo and he told her he didn't think it was right the way she was being treated. He asked for a few minutes to make a few phone calls. She told Bo that she needed to go and meet me at work so we could go and pick up our son at his Boy Scout National Youth Leadership Training Camp. As Cheryl was getting ready to leave, Bo called her and said he got it approved just like that. He told her, that they sold the computer they had at the store on hold for us, so he could get one shipped to us, or we could go to another store and pick it up. So that is what we did. How is it that our sales associate was able to make a few phone calls in a matter of minutes, and get our computer exchanged, while the Store Assistant Manager claims he had to call an Executive Vice President to get approval for an even exchange, and 5 days later he had no response for us after throwing us out of the store.... and after telling my wife that he didn't think that we were being inconvenienced by being sold a defective computer from his store, and Conn's Corporate had no record of him even trying to file a claim on the defective computer. In my opinion, Steven Sanchez the Assistant Store Manager at the Hurst, Texas store has ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE ABILITY and shouldn't be in the position of authority of being in management when he does not want to handle issues that happened in his store on a local level and treats his customers with disrespect by being rude, throwing them out of the store, and selling the merchandise that was put aside for them. If it was not for your Sales Associate Bo, we would not return to Conn's for any other purchases in the future.... but we will give Conn's another chance to win our business back because of people like Bo. If I ever have to deal with Steven Sanchez or anyone with his customer service ability, I will turn around and walk out of the store and not come back. This was the most horrible experience I've had with any business. Took forever to get approved for credit because the sales person had no clue what he was doing. Then a lot of what they had on the floor to look at was not in stock so I had to settle for something I really didn't want. An then the delivery of what I purchased was even worse. I bought a dining room table with 4 chairs and a bench, a sofa and loveseat and two night stands a dresser chest and a dresser with a mirror (I still after 3 different deliveries haven't received the dresser mirror). So when they brought the table and chairs they put everything together outside and then brought them in all of the chairs were unlevel I actually had to bring a 4 foot level out to show the delivery men that my floor was level because they were trying to say my floor was unlevel. Anyways I made them take the chairs back because I wanted better chairs so a few days go by and they send the same exact chairs back I know this because one of the chairs had a big chip on the corner of the back an they touched it up with a touch up marker. STAY AWAY! I was approved for credit. It took 5 days to be able to make a purchase online. I FINALLY received my service contract to sign and thought it was just miscommunication. I was told my washer would be delivered Friday September 24 and I verified the email asking if I would be there. It was NOT. I called them after waiting most of the day (took off work as well) and was told it had been rescheduled for Saturday, September 25. NO NOTIFICATION OF THIS WAS RECEIVED. Saturday still no delivery by 3:00 pm. I called and was told it had been rescheduled for Sunday, September 26. Again, no notification of this. Also I questioned the customer service rep about a Sunday delivery. She then re verified and told me it would be today Monday, September 27. I decided to verify early at 8:00 a.m. because It will be delivered tomorrow Tuesday, September 28. HAHAHA 14 minute hold when I finally spoke to a customer service rep who created a ticket for a call back and "someone will call you by Friday"!!!!!! This is my 4th request to speak to a manager. I've had the worst experience with payment arrangements. Since February I tried to get my pay date moved from the 3rd to the 14th. I set up automatic payments for the 14th on my own. I've talked to about 12 different representatives. I finally got 2 really good ones to help be out. 1 asked if I'd like to be put on the do not call list about a month ago. I said yes please. Even with my automatic payments set up and even with them saying my date would move to the 14th. I still got a call today asking how I would like to make payment. I told the guy to check my notes and he told me there weren't any. I'm sick of being hounded for a payment I make every month. At one point they told me it would take a billing cycle to reflect the change, they told me we have a 10 day grace period..... well even within that 10 day grace they call me 3 times day. I'm not exaggerating. I had to block their numbers. No one ever had previous conversation notes when I would speak to someone. And I always get told different things. I moved it from the 3rd simply because it was too close to Rent and I would end up setting automatic payment for the 8th, so I had them move it to the 14th so I would have a good payment history. My name is William from El Paso. I have for Years dealt with the Conn's Store on Gateway west in El Paso Tx. They have always been friendly, helpful, & done pretty good. On February 2nd, 2019, I bought a new washer, dryer, & a nice LG side by side refrigerator. I also purchased the Extended warranty on all the items. Their service department has always given me good service, I have always given their service personnel good CSI scores. Well, this morning when I got up, I noticed water all over the kitchen floor In front of the refrigerator. I thought what the heck is going on. So, I opened the fridge & everything felt lukewarm, opened the other door and everything in the freezer had thawed out and was leaking everywhere. I check the setting & everything was set properly, I got the owner's manual out went through the troubleshooting guide, everything looked fine. So, I called the Conn's service department to arrange a service call & they inform me the extended warranty expired already. I asked how that could be, that you always send a letter before it expires so I can renew it if I want too & the customer service lady on the phone could not answer the question. All she could say was its going to cost a $99.00 service fee. I asked how can a refrigerator that is barely 4 years old that I am still paying on every month go bad & be out of my extended warranty already. She still could not answer the question, just kept repeating the $99.00 service fee. Oh & finally suggested I call the store where the items where purchased. So I called the Conn's store on the gateway west in El Paso, waited for nearly 22 minutes to speak to a manager. Finally spoke to a Mr. Trujillo He informed me that all he could to was to send a email to service to see if they could do anything for me. Or I could call back later and speak to the sales manager. Long Story short was on the phone for over a hour and a half. with their customer service department with no resolution, after being a customer for years & buying a TV, Laptop, Gas Range, Washer & Dryer, two 14.000 BTU AC units, & this LG Refrigerator, All they do is blow people off. The worst customer service possible. I was sold a 65 inch Samsung TV for $999.00. I paid for delivery because I wanted to ensure product was not damaged. I was told to check for physical damage as this was not covered. I looked at Television and felt screen. It appeared undamaged. When it was installed, the picture had lines. I tried to contact customer service for over a week and held for hours with no success. I went to the store and was given another number. The store rep said they could not get customer service either. I called this number and eventually was told to send pictures for customer service appointment that was scheduled. No one came and I called to see what happened to the appointment and was told it was cancelled because the pictures showed physical damage. Physical damage was not covered by customer service or the warranty I had purchased. I also purchased the insurance as suggested by the sales rep. I tried to file a claim and was told the insurance did not cover physical damage. I was referrred to Samsung to see if they would cover the TV as it was less than 30 days since the purchase under the manufacturere's warranty. Samsung's warranty does not cover physical damage either. I am left to pay $999 plus insurance and worhtless warranty for a TV that does not work. I filed a complaint that was never responded to. The TV had been damaged by someone. It was shipped from the west coast, stored in their warhouse as well as transported to my home by Conn's employees. There is no way to prove how and when the TV was damaged. I recommend anyone buying a TV from Conn's insist the television be unpackaged and plugged in before leaving the store. It is only when the TV is turned on that you can tell if it is damaged because the lines will be visible. If Conn's risk management would get involved, they would establish a best practce to make sure TV's are not damaged and have the customer's sign. prior to leaving the store. If it is delivered, the reps should also unpack a nd plug the TV in to ensure it is working and have the customer's sign. This would be a great dela of labor and time on Conn's part. Why not simply replace the TV and damage it out? I worked in retail and satisfying customers is part of doing business, especiallay when you expect them to pay for the product. It is clear that Conn's victimizes those who use Conn's Home Plus. A contract is signed and failure to pay damages your credit. Are the victims those with less than perfect credit, low income people and possibly ethnic minorities? Their business model is clearly to make money from initial purchers needing to improve credit and not depend on repeat customers. Well after reading other reviews, I'm happy to say my experience was not the same. I walked in this place on Saturday by Faith just wanting to see the bedroom set I had seen online in person. Wasn't expecting anything more than that. Just to look and price. First person greeted me was a handsome young man, Shawn Coleman with a very mellow demeanor. He was very nice and helpful, although he was already helping someone else. He answered my questions then he had to go back and check on the other person he was helping. I looked around a bit while he did that. Texted out the mattresses because I need a good one for my back. Then I was on my way towards leaving and Ms. Marsina, one of the managers approached me and asked if anyone was helping me and I told her Shawn was. Then she went on to ask about why I was there. I explained I moved here from Cali a year ago and ready to get my spot so I'm looking for a bedroom set. Long story short I ended up qualifying for $4000 in credit and was able to get my bedroom set including mattress which was very pricey. I made it clear I HAD to invest in a good mattress. So I walked in by Faith and walked out with what I wanted. Shawn & Marsina provided me excellent customer service and I was very pleased. The only thing is.....that its like buying a car. You be there for a few hours but its worth it. Thank you Conns for having Shawn & Marsina and really everyone in the store was kind and ready to answer your questions. I would give a negative rating if I could. I placed an order on 12/29 for a new dishwasher, their website said it would be delivered 12/30. Later on on 12/29 I received an email saying it wouldn't be delivered until 1/6. I confirmed their order on 1/5. On 1/6 nobody showed up or called, I called in and was told the item is on backorder until 1/28. Needless to say I got a refund and will never be using them again. read more

Brian My name is Robin Winston and I am extremely upset that as a customer has been treated the way your company has treated me. I purchased over $6000 in merchandise from one of your stores in November 2022. In January 2023 I started having issues with my washer. I had multiple service calls, multiple parts replaced, and one of the service technicians broke my machine. I finally was able to get the machine replaced after 3 weeks. I had to reach out to the Store Manager at University to help me with the exchange. The machine I had was not available any longer so Samantha said the one they exchanged with would work with the pedestal that I have. I had to wait 2 more weeks and delivery came today to do the exchange. The delivery people weeper of weed and we're cussing about how heavy the machine was. They put the machine on the pedestal that did not fit and left. Did not test it or anything. My machine was left on the pedestal unattached and I am not able to use it. I contacted the store and spoke to Angela who told me basically not their problem. I have been on the phone for hours trying to get delivery on the phone to come and take the machine off the pedestal so I can at least use it. I have not been successful and no one at the store wants to help me. So I need you to give meta resolution . I ordered the cloud Mocha Reclining loveseat via an online sale. Per description this was a rocker reclining loveseat. That is not what was delivered. I called Conns and have yet heard back from them on what they will do to compensate the price or replace for the correct loveseat. Bad customer service at this point. Ordered a refrigerator online to be delivered on 12/27/22 to my daughter for Christmas. After placing the order and receiving confirmation email, I checked my bank account and confirmed it went through. No call came in from Conn's on the day of delivery so I called them. Held 15 mins to talk to someone who told me my order was canceled and she didn't know why but I would need to visit a store. When I asked about the refund of my money she said it would be 3-5 days. I go back on the website and the refrigerator price has now increased $199. What a scam. No telephone call, no email, cancel my order, keep my money 3-5 days and then raise the price! read more

Buyers beware! CONNS PLANO Store is FRAUDULENT!! Trust me, DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THERE! I have been waiting since August for them to FINISH setting up a dining room table I paid $1500 for. I have called numerous times, places TWO tickets for someone to come out and finish the job and NOBODY has come. I keep calling and getting passed around to another person who can't help. And even the store manager, Marco, said there's nothing anyone can do. My furniture was delivered on 8/1 and the delivery person told us he didn't have the right tools to finish setting up and he'll be back in 48 hours. I've seen nobody since. I called on 8/5 to see when he was coming back and of course nobody knows anything about it. The chairs to the table aren't seatable as there are multiple legs missing. I asked to contact the district manager. Jojo Salas, but for some reason nobody at Conns has her contact information. At this point, this is fradulent and I will proceed with filing a claim with the BBB and seeking legal counsel on how this will be resolved. I will NEVER shop there again. I bought appliances from them 2/25/2022. Had the warranty and insurance on them. I canceled the insurance and 6/11/2022. Less then thier 30 day cancelation policy. Its now 9/6/2022 and they still haven't canceled it. I've sent Emails and made calls in August and trying to pay it off but the pay off is still with the over $1600 in insurance and warranty. Was on the phone with them today 9/6/2022 for 45 minutes and wanted to speak to a manager and after 15 minutes on hold I was told they will call me. Like they were saposto do the week before and last week. So I'm still sitting here waiting. The warranty department is the worst. All you can do is call customer service and they have to put in a ticket. There is no other way to speak to anyone to get this taken care off. Its been 6 months trying to get that canceled. Hello, I just got off the phone with Conn's service dept and was informed that my appliances, which I purchased on Sept 21 2020 but could not be delivered for almost a month later have no warranty at all. The Stove just quit last night and I was informed nothing could be done warranty expired Sept. 21st. 2021 and that I should have purchased the expensive extended warranty. I bought 5 appliances that evening for Over $5000! I suppose they are all just expensive paperweights now. I am so disgusted with this company and your lack of service/respect. I plan to tell anyone who will listen to me about my experience. I bought an LG Electric Range on Sept. 21St 2020. Due to Covid delivery was delayed, I can't remember the exact date it was delivered and even then they were out of electric cords so I waited longer. Long story short this Stove has been used less than 30 times period. The oven was used 4 times. Now it is completely dead... just Black Stainless Metal and Cold Glass. It is still very pretty now if anyone is interested. It actually looks like it has never been used. My advice "Don't buy from Conn's" Unless... You are ok with buying the expensive extended warranty because evidently, their stuff has a 1-year shelf life! read more

I have been extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service from this conns. It feels as if once you've made your purchase you don't matter anymore. They charge for insurance on the products and tell you if you have your own renters insurance etc to bring a declaration page and they will deduct it off the total cost. I did this over a month ago and they still won't remove the insurance charge from my total. Every time I call I speak with people who tell "there is really nothing we can do to help you". It is highly disappointing to know you are being baited in to buy something and then treated so poorly after. I will never be shopping here again or recommending this location. :( read more
