STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Their customer service is the worst. I have recorded conversations with managers and reps from Conns laughing at me when I try to get them to correct mistakes made on my account that were validated. A manager named Kathy employee number 115589 told me I would be the last person I'd speak with at Conns regarding the accounting errors they made when I asked to speak with her boss because she didn't want me to file the complaint against her obviously. The first complaint was on request 1472076 where I got a $100 credit for the bad experience but seems like after you get a credit, Conns can mistreat you all they want to moving forward with no additional credit for their mistake. So I asked for them to come pick up their equipment and they said no you can return it yourself under a repossession which goes against my credit. So now they are forcing me to do business with them when I said I didn't want to anymore because they keep mistreating me on the phone. I asked for a call back from the upper management team that reviewed the account and still waiting for that call. They say they strive for quality customer service but that's a lie. They don't care about their customers at all and they will try to rip you off by adding additional fees to your contract. Don't fall for the Conns trap they are the worst people to do business with and I hope they get sued for this and go out of business now. I'll never do business with Conn again and I'm going to post bad reviews to as many places as I can. If they don't want to give me the credit or come pick up this equipment then I'm going to let everyone know so they don't fall for the same trap I did. Wish there was 0 meaning the worst. Went to this store to purchase a washer and dryer. Everything was set including the delivery date which was to happen the next day. Took time off work and waited the entire day but no one showed. Called and was told they're on the way but 2 hours later still nothing. After calling repeatedly was told that the delivery was set for 2 days later. I was ready to call it quits but the delivery team promised it would be delivered so I agreed. Two days later still no delivery even though the delivery person said they stopped. What an out and out lie. Canceled the purchase because I don't like feeling like I'm the one whose corrupt. We purchased a bed for our spare room in Oct 2021. I noticed when I was vacuuming under there were boards hanging. I removed the mattresses to find 4 support boards broken. Problem is the boards are not one solid piece, but made up of about 15 -20 little pieces glued together. Well now I'm out of warranty and they won't replace the boards that came unglued!!!!! Who glues a board together and puts it under a bed for support. read more

Where to start? First they delivered a desk that had been opened and resealed, so by the time I received it, there were numerous pieces missing. Filed a complaint with photos and had to follow up several times. They finally had a set appointment today to pick this piece or crap up from my apartment and "There was a Glitch" and the pick up got cancelled. They are still holding on to my $580 and this thing is STILL sitting in the middle of my kitchen. My picked up was confirmed by text, email AND phone call yesterday and was confirmed again by 7pm last night. I even had someone follow up today to be sure my complaint was handled. Conns needs a huge overhaul of how they run their business. New computer systems, compensation for their negligence and lack of communication. I've used Conns many years ago and their service has changed and not for the good. You better think twice about purchasing from them. I will not use them again. But what do they care? Cons!! Bought a refrigerator February 27th, it stopped working March 28th. Called Conns to have it fixed and they had a long wait for technical support visit. Lady on the phone stated I could contact Samsung as they may send someone sooner. I did that and with 5 visits, Samsung deemed it non-repairable. They could not replace it for me, however d/t me still making payments to Conns. I contact conns who state they have to have their own technician come diagnose the refrigerator. I agreed to this and as soon as technician visits, he states that I voided Conns warranty by using Samsung. I only went to Samsung because I was advised I could do so. They lied and have failed to do service recovery for a refrigerator that is only a month old. What I think about conn's? They live by their name. They are Cons!! read more

If I could give no stars, I would. Conn's name means just what you get...conning you out of your hard earned money. I have used Conns in the past and was pretty satisfied the first time. However, this time they really showed me a thing or two about predatory lending. I noticed that the sales people do not tell you everything about financing until you're ready to sign and if you don't read the fine print, you will be financing your life away. Well I managed to get the salesman to take off all the extra stuff I didn't need, like protection, insurance etc. Don't get me wrong I know insurance is good to have but not on every single thing. The only reason I went to Conns was because of the easy financing but I knew going in that their prices are high. Do your homework, price and compare. I decided to go along and do financing because I needed a television and computer. I knew that I would pay them off before the 0 interest would expire. Which I did. But I wound up paying them over what I owed because their accounting system was not correct. I had to keep calling them to get the correct amount. Why did I overpay? Not paying attention. They have this policy that payments that are over paid will not be reimbursed until 45 working days. Can you believe that? I couldn't do that to them. I know I would get phone calls and threatening letters to report my credit. Here it is 45 days and I still don't have my money. Stop! Do not pass and go to Conns! Unless you want to get conned. There's a reason they call it Conns, they're a bunch of "Cons". I haven't come across anyone who has a good story about this retailer. Every single story is just as bad as the last . Broken furniture, bad service, misleading information, unfulfilled promises . After much debate with the management staff who is better off having a career as delivery guys themselves because they communicate like toddlers and have 0 qualifications for escalation issues. I finally was left no choice but to file a complaint with the BBB. I waited and waited...no response! I was kind of expecting it because they were recently sued by the states attorney's office for several ongoing issues. After about 2 weeks the salesperson call me back to resolve the issue? I asked him why he was calling me, when the issue had escalated and was obviously out of his hands. He responded that the DM was "too busy" and she "asked me to call"...I asked to speak to her directly, 2 days later he called back, again..... Never in my 14 years of customer service have I ever sent one of my grunts to do the generals work. When I asked to speak to the DM directly, I never even got a email much less a phone call. She made Alex call me and offer a insulting settlement against his better judgement . I declined and they called back 2-3 weeks later with a offer for...less??? I honestly think this kid Alex shouldn't be doing her job and if he is, he should be compensated because he seems to be the only one who really cares whether or not customer retention actually takes place at this store. The whole point of offering a settlement is to ensure the customer is happy and will return to spend more money. The theory is that a happy customer will tell others of his experience. That one happy customer will now turn into 5, and those 5 into 20. Therefore, the settlement washes itself out in retrospect. Honestly for $140k and this kid Alex on my team I could personally turn that place around. My concern is whether or not the corporate structure cares about customer retention. Truth is this type of attitude and behavior trickles down. Someone somewhere is telling these guys it's ok to engage in these tactics. If you want a profitable store that's not empty as this one seems to be everytime I stop in. I would start with re-staffing your management. Starting with the DM whom I have not even had a actual conversation with after 30 days. The fact that you use a 3rd party to deliver your products is an obvious man made loophole so if/when someone drops the ball you can't be held liable. It's so apparent. The problem with that is in retail, court is held not by a court of law but a court of consumers who will fry you over the smallest things. This will hurt your bottom line but as long as managers are getting their salaries what do they care if the run your name into the ground. I truly do not believe Conns as a whole is bad... Just this particular district who seems to be experiencing constant turmoil as a direct result of misconduct toward their customers. If you value your time don't shop here. Awful experience with delivery. Purchased a refrigerator with the expectation that it would be delivered the next day. The system called and I confirmed for Wednesday 11:30 - 2:30. I took off work and its 3:30. Called the store and they were no help, called the warehouse and they said I'm scheduled for Friday 11:30-2:30. I never confirmed for that time. When asked what automated system I confirmed with then, they said they hadn't a clue. The warehouse manager was rude and so was the call center rep. This refrigerator was for my elderly mother, because her current refrigerator went out and she has no where to store food. I used to like shopping at Conns but not anymore. read more
