DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!! This place is a sad sad excuse for customer service. I bought a washer and dryer on Tues 11/25 and my contract says "expected delivery 11/26. Today is the 30th and have not even gotten as much as a phone call. I have called and been put on hold time after time. When I did finally got through... the Assistant Manager Mellissa Valdes said she would call me back in "just a bit". That was a 3:00pm yesterday. After waiting till 6:30 I called and was informed that she had gone home for the day!!!! Wtf??? I should have know better when I was greeted by my sales person Gloria Palanco Bode... who seemed to have trouble communicating in American English and was much more at ease when I spoke to her in Spanish. I bought a refrigerator with a built-in ice maker. Out of three in a half years, ice maker broke down four times. The rubber seal in the refrigerator fell apart. The handle broke off the door. When hurricane Harvey hit it has not cool the refrigerator so I place a thermostat it says spoiled. Yes all my food spoiled. Call Conn's they came out to replace and said now it should work. It never work. Call Conn's again they came out to replace a thermostat that in the inside of the refrigerator. They said now it will work. Nope it doesn't now that three times that the cooling of the refrigerator, they gave me a form for food loss. They denied me. I'm like why??? They never replied. Now three times I loss food. Now my refrigerator holds on can of soda's. Nothing else no milk no eggs no anything. Seven times now I know I got a lemon but Conn's won't replaced? Made an order request but they are taking there time to come out and check. I had to look online at the request form and it's like they never got the paper trail but I had also called it in. They never want to update my phone number. I keep telling them Everytime I make my payment. Then they have a technician called me send me picture of this and thatbut not the refrigerator my TV. I said wow nothing wrong with the TV just the refrigerator. Will he cancelled my TV form which cancelled out the form for the refrigerator. So there I go and send another. My first experience was great. I went in to buy a computer and the salesperson who helped me (Irish) assured me that the computer would do everything that I needed it to. At that time, I was advised that if I brought it back I might have to pay a 15% restocking fee. I thought that was incredibly weird but the computer had all of the right specs advertised so I thought "Yeah okay." Signed it, brought my computer home. It didn't work. We tried everything because we honestly thought something was wrong with the programs we installed. Eventually we discovered that the computer couldn't do any of what it said it could do. I'll be happy to provide a technical and exact explanation but that's the short version. So we went to take it back. At that time, they told me they had to pay the fee. I was shocked and I kind of just handed over my card in a haze. I really wanted to just make the exchange and get a computer that would actually do what I needed it to. Unfortunately, as we looked at all of them, we discovered they all had the same problem. None of them could perform. So I told them that there was one that might be able to work but I didn't want to take the chance and have to pay a second restocking fee. (By the way the restocking fee was 185 dollars. If it was 10 or 20 then I'd never have written this and I'd find it completely reasonable.) At this point, all they had to do was waive the restocking fee in case it didn't work. I would have bought the computer and we'd all have left feeling okay, if not great. That was not offered so I paid and left. I came home and told my mother who tried to reason with the store manager (Mark Aldridtch). We came in calmly and my mother never raised her voice. She said that she didn't feel like I should have to pay that fee because the computer didn't do what I was told it could do. At this point, he got VERY ugly. He told my mother to stop yelling at him (She wasn't and I have video to prove it. I actually had to step in very close so that my phone could pick up her voice. Then he got very ugly with her and tried to get ugly with me. My mother asked for his attention back and he told her to get out of his store. Then he said that he was going to call the police. Keep in mind that we never made any violent gestures or raised our voices. Again, I have a video backing this up. We left swiftly and quietly. He kept trying to incite my mother to violence or into raising her voice. He was manipulative and unpleasant to deal with and all in all does not seem to possess the people skills necessary to be a store manager at a place like Conns which seems to pride itself on customer service. read more

This has got to be the worse place my husband and I have ever delt with. We just moved to a house so we needed almost everything you can think of and ending up buying or I should say financing about $9,000 worth of furniture. This KID that was our sales person must of been new, which is fine...we have all been new at something. Now lets see where do I even begin. It was almost closing time so I'm pretty sure he wanted that commission. He did all the paper work wrong and was over charging us on the items that were on sale. Maybe he thought we wouldn't notice, but we did! 2hrs after closing time we finally sign papers and leave and wait for delivery day. On delivery we are missing items and we were told it was out of stock...fine. So we thought we bought a 3D TV and surround sound to match, of course this kid also pitched the "warranty" for our 3D warranty. Well the TV we get delivered is not 3D so we ask what happened with that? They said Opps sorry you can come get the 3D and pay the difference in price......ummmm no, so now we have surround sound system for our non existant 3D tv he sold us. The other missing items finally came in after a few WEEKS, and told us we can come pick it up.....ummmm no, we paid for delivery and someone needs to drop it off, am I wrong here? So we were told it be another week if its delivered!!! Needless to say we ended up picking it up. In the few weeks we had all our new furniture the bed frame broke, our entertainment center is coming apart and our surround sound system goes out!!!!! Seriously? When we tried to get in touch with anyone, or someone to help us each person threw us to the next person. Then comes the first payment.....somehow it comes out higher than what we had worked out!!!!! We are still in the process of figuring out that fiasco! And trust me, we will. So our 2 items that were on "back order" we later find out were put on a seperate credit card account with GE Capital. It was our understanding that we had financed a certain total amout that included those 2 items and we got seperately because it was out of stock......not so much, we are in the process of figuring that out too. No one at Conns seems to know who to talk to about this mess! of course they don't. NEVER EVER AGAIN will I consider Conns nor recommend Conns. They are a JOKE! I wish I could do half a star! Lets see where do I start? The refrigerator we purchased from there is breaking now and then. We have had it serviced numerous times! They give us the same story Oh give us a few days to get there. Rude employees, they take their time just giving an appointment, when they come its a visit that is not even 2 minutes and then they leave saying oh you need a part. We will call when its in. You ask for a supervisor to call and no one calls. The parts come and you wait for 5 more days to be told Oh we will be there next week. 3 weeks with no refrigerator, food has gone bad multiple times, and to top it off there is a baby in the house who's milk spoils and we have no way to store it. I am retired with a limited income so I went to Conn's knowing they would work with me. I previously purchased from them about 8 years ago when living in another city and had a good experience. I knew I would have to pay more than other places, but I was willing to do that in order to make payments. I bought a Samsung high efficiency W/D set and was excited when they were able to deliver the next day. The delivery team and the warehouse manager were very professional and very personable. Unfortunately on the third load (3 days after delivery) the power on the dryer would not turn on. When I called the service department I was told that someone would call me back within 24-48 hours. I received a call 2 days later and the repair was scheduled 6 days out. The service company called at 5:00pm the day before the scheduled repair and said a technician was not available and rescheduled for 6 more days out. I immediately called the main store to complain, but it was already 5:00pm so nothing could be done until the next day. No word from them the next day so I finally called and spoke to the manager whose response was "we have a lot of repairs". I have not received an apology (a simple "I'm so sorry you are having these issues" would suffice) from the store manager or the sales rep. I am really regretting my purchase here. ***Also, make sure that you read over the contract and don't just "sign here, sign here, sign here". *** There is a $189 insurance policy that was required with my purchase. My fault for not reading the paperwork until I got home but the sales rep said it was everything we had already discussed. He tried 3 times to get me to purchase an extended warranty that would have added another $800 or so to the total purchase and when I wouldn't agree to it he said "maybe I'm not making myself clear and should get another sales rep to talk to you". The W/D comes with the same warranty that he was trying to sell me. So my advice is to pay attention and explore other options. read more
