If I could give negative stars, I would. One of the worst after delivery experiences I've ever had, perhaps THE worst. A common theme seems to be that once they have your money, it's pretty much a "go eff yourself" attitude regarding after the sale support. My experience ranged from not getting my original order correct first to multiple deliveries to try to resolve the issue. First attempt, delivery window on a Sunday from 2:30 - 5:30 PM.....they eventually arrived at 7:20 PM and then proceeded to tell me that there was a part missing so they would therefore be unable to resolve the issue. After contacting the store and explaining to the manager what had happened, it was decided that they would re-order the needed parts to resolve the issue and then set up a time to install. Ended up playing phone tag with the manager for nearly a week after this....either my messages were not passed on by staff or they were simply ignored. Finally get an install date set and a day later my sales person calls to see if they could change to a Sunday. No thanks.....fool me once, right? Install date comes. On Feb. 20th 2022 my wife and I purchashed and paid for, a DVE45R6100C Elect. Dryer (Champagn) and a WF45R6100AC Elect. Washer (also Champagn) from Conn's Home Plus Jerry Leal. These were the color we needed for our rental home on Padre Island and had the "Steam" feature important to my wife. When the day of delivery came we got a call and were told the items we purchashed and PAID for had been sold to someone else and they would be delivering plain white set without the steam feature. Dispite our complaints and a unsatisfactory meeting with a supervisor, the cheaper units were delivered. As rentals were do in soon, we had to take the unwanted units. No price concessions were offered or even an apology. This has to be the definition of "Bait & Switch". How this store stays in business is beyond me. I entered on line order on a Wednesday afternoon. The online had a deadline to enter the order and i completed the order WELL before deadline. The order reflected delivery Thursday to Port Aransas. I received email at 10am Thursday that they would NOT deliver on June 15 but deliver a week later. I called and explained that i was not at the residence and I had paid to have someone stay at house waiting for delivery. Conn's just said it didn't make the truck and there was nothing they could do about it. If you read my earlier review, you remember that Conn's installation service failed to install a Window A/C in a timely manner. When contacting them to cancel the almost $200 installation because I had to use another vendor I was assured that my refund would show up in a few days. A week later no refund on my Visa, so I opened a dispute. Visa contacted me telling me that Conn's documentation showed the installation fee as a delivery charge and didn't owe me a refund. This borders on Wire Fraud. I explained the situation to the dispute agent who informed me they would contact Conn's with this new information and it could take another 30 days to resolve. I found the email where Conn's cancelled the install, forwarded it to Visa and within a few hours the dispute was closed in my favor. They assured her that the computer she was buying would do what she wanted. It did not. At all. When she returned it the next day they charged her a 200 dollar reshelving fee!!!!!! I've called my local conns where I made my $2,600 purchase and they were of absolutely NO HELP. and I've been on the phone for HOURS speaking with multiple customer service reps and again NO ONE can help. See, I purchased a refrigerator from the Corpus Christi branch with my husband. We also purchased an extra water filter. Well now the original filter was ready to be replaced. So we go to get the extra one we bought only to find out that its the wrong filter. You can understand my frustration when I called the store I purchased from and they were not able to at the least exchange it for the correct one. It was not our fault we received the wrong one. Have sent out several technicians and replaced many parts and still now Aug 8, 2023 icemaker still do not work. Bought a window A/C for $499 shelf price plus tax, by the time I get an invoice for the purchase, it was at $850. They did not tell me there was a $100 application fee. So I removed the extended warranty to get the price down $150. I was about to just return the unit but they would stick me with a $100 'restocking fee'. When you call the store you get the run around and told to call service or delivery and when you call there you get a voice mail or they hang up on you which happened several times yesterday. We needed some information on the operation of the refrigerator that was just delivered and the freezer would not get cold. We read the instruction manual and did not understand what it was saying to do. We finally gave up on getting help from the store or service or delivery and checked Youtube and found a video showing in detail how to get the freezer to work. I removed the little pieces of tape from the refrigerator and low and behold under one of them was a nice dent in the side of the draw. I called the store today and was told I had to call delivery, you guessed it I got voice mail and left a message. On February 23, 2023 I called Conn's Homeplus on Padre Island Drive in Corpus christi, TX and spoke with a salesman named David. I told him what I wanted, GE front load washer and I could not afford more than $100 per month on payments. He kept putting me on hold to talk to his manager and he told me he had a contract ready for me to sign for 24 months at $95 per month. My friend, Alice Thomas, took me to the store on Saturday February 25, 2023. David started having problems with the contract, so he enlisted the help of his manager, Brandon. Brandon continued rewriting the contract and sent them to my email address. I found 9 different contracts in my email. When I signed the final contract, the told me that I only have to sign one time and the computer captures my signature and will put it everywhere it needs to be. My payment with tax ended up being $100.43. Finally, after nearly 5 hours, my friend and I got to leave the store. The washer was supposed to be delivered on February 26th but I kept getting excuse after excuse and it was finally delivered 8:30pm on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. On March 2, 2023 I received an email welcoming me to American first Finance and my first payment due on a lease to own package for 12 months is $198.43! I was stunned! I only get $900 a month from social security and I cannot afford a payment of $198.43. I am sure, after I left, the manager, Brandon, used my signature, saved by the computer to rewrite this very incorrect lease! I immediately called American first Finance and the woman said all she can do is file a complaint. I told her the whole story. She advised me to call Conn's Homeplus and tell Brandon what happened, he is the only one that can rewrite the contract. I called Brandon, he told me David was no longer with the company. He told me to hold on and he would look over the contract and fix it. He put me on hold for over an hour and I just figured that he was fixing the contract. TERRIBLE! My parents got a refrigerator from this place. The salesperson were great and that's the only reason for the one star. Garrett made a lot of promises then when the movers came to my parents home they refused to put the refrigerator in the kitchen said it wouldn't fit. When it was put in the contract to remove doors. Instead they did a TRAINING for my elderly dad to take apart the doors! Then my PARENTS had to slide the refrigerator in the kitchen. The hose they brought didn't work! My dad spent 4 hours trying to reassemble the doors! The movers were horrible and rude! I was very upset that my elderly parents were treated this way! My husband called CONN'S Saturday May 23, 2020 to see if they had any deep freezers available for purchase as ours had broken and we needed a replacement. The first person my husband spoke to told him they had 2 available; one being a upright freezer that was 16cu and one being a chest that was 20cu. My husband hung up and told me what they said, he assumed both would be too big so he didnt ask questions but i told him to call back and ask the prices. He called a second time to verify that they did indeed have the units (they claimed they did a second time) and what the cost was. This time the lady told him the prices and said they were first come first serve and thar purchasing over the phone was not allowed so I immediately sent my husband to the store even though we were meant to leave to take a memorial day weekend trip we scheduled. My husband went to the store and told a associate what he was told on the phone and let them know he was there to buy one of the freezers. He asked to see them to see how big it was to make sure itd fit in the space we had, they claimed he couldnt see it as it was boxed up in the back. So he said ok he would purchase it, then they tell him "oh wait no, theres not two freezers theres only one in the back and its 20cu for $850" so i told my husband whatever just buy it. So he goes to purchase it and is told by another guy that wait there are NO freezers in the back. Keep in mind at this point wed spoken to three people all of which said different things ultimately leading to us driving to the store Only to get there and be told uet another story. My husband purchases the freezer and warranty all of which amount to around 1130$. He gets the receipt and comes home, we leave for our trip. Id say about 1hr later i get a text from "zach" claiming he works at the store and he realized the cashier rang us up wrong and charged us for less than what she was supposed to. Then my phone rings and a lady tells me i have to send my husband back to the store to re do the purchase. I explain to them we cant, and tell them just to cancel the transaction because at this point im so fed up with the back and forth with this place! They tell me no, even to cancel i have to come to the store. I explain that we are over a hour away and they want me to turn around and come back because of their error? I then ask them what compensation do we get for returning since after all it was THEIR error. All the people we spoke to were RUDE and made no effort to compensate us for the inconvenience of their error. None of the workers at this store seemed to know what they were doing at all. They conveniently showed after the one year warranty was up repairs where sub-par at best. Called after a week told me couldn't do anything for me. After numerous repairs to the furniture myself I was feed up and called in again. They told me I should have called within 15 days of the repair. Once you leave with the appliance, Furniture, Etc. It doesn't matter what happens they will never put the customer 1st. Conn's Pocket Book comes 1st. I purchased a commercial grade washer and dryer when my husband was diagnosed with cancer, we were told he was going to need surgery and needed a sterile environment once sent home. So we went to Conn's got rid of our 3 year old Samsung front end loafers to move to commercial grade for the sterile steam option. We owned them for less than 1 year when the dryer stopped working. Both washer and dryer were still under a manufacture warranty and still had more than a 1 year left of the 2 year replacement guarantee we paid for through Conns. ( Not Cheap ) * notify Conns they come out they put in a work order to repair and come back it's apparent not able to be fixed. So then the fight between Conns Service Department, Conn's Help Desk, and Whirlpool begins. 3 months goes by they try to deliver a tiny tiny whirlpool dryer that doesn't not match my washer. I refuse finally after 3 months I get a dryer it doesn't look NEW but it works so fine I will take it. 32 days with the new/not new dryer and it stops working Now I am doing the same thing paying for something I can't use. Conns has done each step the same as last time 1st tech oh I will order parts 2nd oh those are the wrong parts Reschedule because parts aren't here Reschedule new parts aren't here Oh it can't be fixed it's Whirlpools problem even though I purchased from Conn's When you sell a product you the Seller deals with the manufacturers not me the buyer I didn't walk into whirlpool and purchase this product. Conns has not successfully taken care of the 1st or 2nd dryer. I even asked if I could just exchange both washer and dryer for a Matching set and I was told NO the washer doesn't qualify. The sells person was real good. I was in and out in no time. We bought a washer & dryer and a dining room table with 6 chairs. NOW THE DELIVERY IS SOMETHING ELSE. I got promised my delivery in 2 days which is good. On delivery day I get a phone call that my table came damaged, they would send for another one which I wouldn't get until the next day but they will deliver washer & dryer. Delivery driver gets there no one explains how to use or operate new machines. All I was told was sign here and if you have any issues just call the store. However if it wasn't for them I wouldn't give stars at all if it were possible. We were 6 days late with our payment due to me being in and out of the hospital for months. We are trying to catch up with bills, anyway they had the nerve to say to my husband "if you can't afford it send it back." That was very rude, inconsiderate and so inappropriate. The representative I dealt with was very knowledgeable and nice now however the manager was a very rude and bitter women .. I bought quite a few purchases from the store and one was a washer and dryer .. I was told they had them in stock and would be delivered that Friday .. well low and behold my fridge was delivered but no washer and dryer .. I drive 1.5 hours to go back to the store to see what the issue was and was told again that they were in stock and would be delivered .. low and behold Friday came around and no washer and dryer .. I bought a washer and dryer in which the washer' s sensor is constantly going off when we try to wash clothes. Only have had for 5 days and when I called to complain he said I can send a technician to look at it and that is covered under warranty or you can pay 15% restock fee and pick another one! Seriously, if I'm already having trouble with it I can't imagine what it's going to do in a year! The Manufacturer could not repair and extended a $700 credit at the store. Have been trying to get the credit from them for months. The right hand does not know what the left is doing and corporate is a joke. A million messages (detailed ) left and no answer. I've been without a bed for 90+ days, mind you, I pay over $313 on my account monthly, and they have yet to fix the railing so I've been sleeping on the floor. They've sent 2 technicians out, which the first guy even though I told him there was clearly parts missing he said, "ah, well if it breaks again just call us." Of course it's going to break if there's missing parts! Called a second tech.
