TLDR: Conn's will not accept any returns at all, even if they have failed to deliver a full set of furniture within a reasonable amount of time. They will just stick you with half of what you paid for and then tell you that they can cancel the remainder of the sofa and leave you with an unusable set of furniture and a whole lot of empty promises. We purchased a sectional from Conn's. During the sales process, we were told that all piece were in stock and could be delivered the next day. We placed our order, at which point we were told that we were outside of their next day delivery area and would have to wait almost two weeks for delivery. No big deal, but then before finalizing the purchase, we were told that one of the pieces was no longer in stock and we would have to wait three weeks for it to be in stock, at which point we would have to come in to pick it up. Three weeks went by with no update, so I called and asked and was told that the remaining piece of the sectional was being assembled and that I was second in line and it would be another week, but they would see what they could do. A few days later, I received a text to schedule pick up at the warehouse and I did so. When I showed up at the locked and seemingly abandoned warehouse, I had to call the store so they could get me in touch with the warehouse who eventually let me in, only to tell me that the remaining piece of my sectional wasn't even in Albuquerque and there was some sort of miscommunication, but they could have it in the following day if we spoke to the store where we purchased it. We spoke to the store and they said it would be another week. Another week went by, and we called for an update and were told that the warehouse was closed and they would send an email and get back to us the next day. Another five days went by with no update. At this point, it is now eight weeks from when we placed our original order and we still do not have a complete couch. Every person we have spoken to has given us different information and keeps telling us to wait another indeterminate amount of time. Don't fall for the "we're a small local company and can work with you on anything". They won't work with you on even the most basic of problems and blame it on "policy" and "corporate". read more

I bought the new table 2 days ago when the problem occurred..when i put the food on and the table surface was stained i cleaned it but they didnt come out.. i called the store . they said they would send someone down see and return but i waited 3 days still no one came to my house to process. i am his wife. because he is busy at work..he has contacted the store many times but no one has solved it.he also sent a letter to report the situation but still no response. .my sister has bought from conn's a lot so she recommended it to me.First time I bought but really disappointed because of the customer service..I was very sad because the condition of the table was getting worse and worse. So we've been promised a call on 2 occasions letting us know to come pick up our wedge that completes our sectional. First told by Bryce "tinker bell" that he qould call us on the 21st of June. NEVER HEARD A WORD. So i called them after 5 pm like "hey, what's up"? We were then given his word he qoukd call us to come pick it up on the 27th of June. That was yesterday. I don't even know where to start on this, so let's start with BEWARE and AVOID. Below, I will recount my harrowing tale of irritation, rip-off, and annoyance. Firstly, the sales associates harassed us like 5 times before we decided on a chair, this being something that I understand they're probably directed to do, but is irritating nonetheless. I'm looking, let me decide, seriously. When we went to purchase it, we were told we could do line of credit for 0% APR for 36 months. Then after processing everything (i.e. he already applied me for the credit card) he said it was 19.9% APR. WHAT? No, that's not what I agreed to! This should have been my red warning light on the whole operation. But I was like, you know what, I'm in love with the stupid chair and I'm seriously picky about chairs. So I decided I'd just pay it off super fast and it'd be no more than like $30 extra. Whatever. And THEN he doesn't even tell me it's $79.99 for delivery until he gives me the total with tax at the very end (he tried to slip it in like it was just tax). After I've accepted the credit card. So, okay, first you tell me I have to pay more in interest, then you tell me I have to pay for delivery. I asked if I could pick it up, only to find out they actually have a third party shipping their stuff up from Texas and you can't pick anything up at the store. Another bit of HUH?! I'm in a bind here. Even if I cancel, I already have a credit card in my name at this point. So I just plow on forward, VERY annoyed. Even after all of this, he asks me for 5 stars on his review. HA... what? So here comes the delivery... first we're told we can get it the following day. Not true. Turns out to have to be the next day after that. Fine, whatever. (Lie number 3 much?) I'm so done, I'm just like just give me the blasted chair. They call on this weird schedule and it's another 3rd party making the calls. They call my office phone, then my cell phone, ignoring the phone number I ASKED them to call every single time. One call in the morning time to say they'll be delivering tomorrow and call us tonight with the time. Next call at night to tell us they're delivering between a 3 hour time window the following day. Next call on day of to tell us it'll arrive in 10 minutes. (All of these are automated.) Three hours later, no show. Husband was the one home, he calls and is like where is it? They say it was damaged when they unloaded it and just didn't deliver it. Think to tell us that maybe??? Nope, apparently not. It'll be in the next day. Not once were we asked if that was okay with us. Great, another day my husband can't do anything because he's waiting on them. Ends up being so late at night after the next harrowing event of phone calls that I'm actually home for the delivery. Time window of 5:30-8:30pm. Headache. They deliver the wrong color and I'm so terrified I won't ever see my chair at this point, I just signed for it anyway, thinking I'll put up with the turd brown color over the steel grey I wanted. After they've left, it turns out to be another model, this one much slimmer than the one I ordered. Irritated, I call the store. 2 hours later and 4 people later, someone measures the chairs in store, says they're different, finds out it's a different model, store manager is annoyed at shipping place, but NEVER apologizes to me. Instead I get a grumpy "Well why did you sign for it then?". Nowhere in any of this am I offered any sort of apology for anything that's happened along the way. (I told the guys it was the wrong color while they were here, told the guy on the phone, everyone was just like 'oh well' basically.) Again, I was asked for 5 stars. Finally, they say they'll show up the next day with one. Nope. I'm told it'll be another day before they have room on the truck. 2 days later, they finally deliver today. Guy bangs up the old one on the way out of the house, scooting it down my driveway. I hope no one gets it now that he did that, for their sake. New one seems good, is correct model. He doesn't even give me copies of any paperwork this time, just has me sign and bolts, slams the door on the way out. I get my credit card today and it tells me it's 29.9% APR instead of the 19.9%. I'm so angry my head could explode now! What is this bull? Total of 13 phone calls, 5 texts (yes they started texting me at some point) and repeated headaches and anxiety over the whole situation. I'm pissed the hell off. I will NEVER buy from here again and I will be telling everyone I know not to shop here. EVER. Do not even look in the direction of the store. I'm not sure I've ever been so angry over a purchase in my entire life and I've bought a few things that didn't work right out of the boxes before. Went in to purchase stools for our new apartment and they didn't have them in stock it was a Thursday, salesman told me they would be in by Monday so I chose to pick them up at the warehouse because we have nowhere to sit while we eat and it's somewhat a priority to get them. Anyways it's been almost 2 weeks and still haven't even gotten a call back. I have called twice and talked to someone else but still nothing resolved. Wound up in Conn's at Hotel Circle because we were exploring all stores, trying to find a something that my son wanted for his 18th birthday. Since we did not know what Conn's had we went in. Greeted by a young sales girl who was in the face. I will make this short, you can see her main goal was to push customers into financing. Because of her abruptness and not leaving us alone we left. However my son did see a chair (almost like a gaming chair) he liked. Two days later I am at Conn's at Coronado. I was created by someone not as pushy and rude; I believe his name was Ron. He went to check if the chair was in stock. IT WAS and IT WAS the highest price anywhere for this chair. While he went to see if it was in stock, I went to check amazon and other sites. Bottomline I asked this guy why should I pay $70 more for a chair at your store. He looked at me dumbwitted. Why would anyone want to get bad service and overpay. We walked in Conn's knowing exactly what mattress we needed, tried it out and purchased a soft hybrid mattress. They set a delivery date and then missed it three times. When they did deliver, they were behind schedule and basically dumped the mattress and left. Because I have a major spinal surgery coming up is why the softer mattress is important. When my wife got home and started to put sheets on the bed - she said Conn's delivered the wrong mattress - an extra firm which couldn't work for me with my spine condition. We called Conn's and got nothing but the runaround with them trying to say we had to keep the wrong incorrectly delivered mattress. We said no, you need to pick this wrong mattress up and return what we paid you for the WRONG MATTRESS. It's been over a month and we have a useless but unused mattress taking up space in our extra room and they are still holding our nearly $2000.00 illegally. Worst service ever. I spend 4K with you guys two weeks ago. Couch, bed set, 2 Bird air scooters. The sales associate from the 45 Hotel Cir NE Albuquerque, NM 87123 United States Told me that they would ship everything except for the two scooters. I could take one of them today and the other one would come in the next two days. I waited for two days and they told me that it would be available at the warehouse. We went to the warehouse and they told me that is had not arrived and I come back tomorrow. This time when I arrived they told me that the request from the El Paso warehouse was never put in and it would take 2 weeks. I waited 16 days and then gave them a call. Nobody could find my order so they told me to call the 844 number. I explained All my information to the representative and when she put me on hold she hung up on me. I had to get connected to somebody else who told me that my best bed is to call the store that I purchased my product with back. So I did this time I want to speak to the manager. it took me two attempts to contact him because he was always best. Both times I left my number requesting to get a callback and I never got one. Finally I was able to get through to him. He informed me that the request had never been put in and it would be another two days. I asked him to check other locations to see if they have the product in house. He handed me to a sales associate without even telling me that he was going to pass the phone over after a long bond the new sales associate let me know that nobody had one. I happen to live next to the conns on Central. I went into the store I had a sales associate try to sell me one of the scooters immediately. I asked her if she had it in stock and she said absolutely we have one in the back. When I explain the situation that I was going through she talk to her manager who then came to tell me that the one in the back is actually sold. Which I do not believe because Just five minutes prior to her knowing that I had already purchased one she was trying to sell it to me and made the comment that she had it in house. I asked her specifically are you sure you have one and she said yes along with all the other associates around nodding their head that yes they do have one in house. When I called the 844 number back they told me they could do nothing. While I was on the phone with you I asked him about my other order and she said it would be here tomorrow. So nobody contacted me about that either and I'm getting less than 24 hour notice. I asked about a time window and she said that she cannot get me one. So what am I gonna do if I'm not here? Is it gonna be another three weeks before I get an answer on this. I'm so frustrated with how this has all gone. I do not understand how y'all's customer service can be so bad from the store, to the warehouse, to the customer service number. My experience has been terrible. I will not recommend you to anybody I know nor will I ever do business with you guys again. I am extremely upset with how everything has been handled. I plan on going to the store that I bought all of my products from. If I find out that they have a scooter available And that I've been lied to again. Shady, shady business from top to bottom. Including corporate. I purchased, on credit, a washer and dryer on March 10. I was told that they only deliver and set up on Thursdays. So we scheduled delivery for March 16. I requested the day off from work to be there for delivery and set up. I never even received the confirmation call, so I called Conn's on March 15 in the evening, only to be told that because I didn't confirm, my delivery was rescheduled for March 23. I had specifically told the salesman that we would be out of town on the 23rd. Long story short, the delivery and set up were rescheduled for March 30. On March 30, the washer and dryer were delivered. Only the washer wouldn't fit through an interior door. The delivery person asked us to sign a waiver so they could remove the door and install the washing machine. Then we were told the dryer wouldn't fit through the door. The delivery person said either they take both the washer and dryer back, or leave both there, but don't install the dryer. I asked them to leave both there. On Saturday, April 1, I put a load in the washing machine. The washing machine never filled up with water. I called and complained about the washing machine not working. They scheduled a service call for me on April 2, to troubleshoot the washing machine and install the dryer, as I had removed the door frame so that the dryer would fit. When the delivery/service team arrived on April 2, the serviceman argued with me about the whether or not the dryer would fit through the door. He also told me that the reason the washing machine was not filling up with water is because the water valves were not turned on. While they worked on troubleshooting the washing machine, they asked for towels in case water started leaking, and they also asked where the main water valve was so they could turn off the water completely. After they finished working on the washing machine, once again the service person said that the dryer wouldn't fit. I argued with him and said I measured the door and the dryer and there was enough room for it to fit. I suggested removing the door. He asked me to sign a waiver, and they would remove the door. Silly me, both times signing the waiver. Both service people never showed us what we were signing. They only showed us the signature block. Apparently what we signed was a waiver stating that Conn's was not responsible for any further repairs after they leave. I found this out that same evening, after I tried to dry a load of clothes for more than 3 hours! The clothes did not dry, and the inside of the dryer was full of condensation. Once again, I contacted Conn's to have them come out to troubleshoot the problem with the dryer. They refused to send someone out because I signed that waiver. It has been a complete nightmare. I have complained to corporate and have been dismissed several times. I spoke to the delivery warehouse manager, and she said because I had signed the waiver, there was nothing they could do. I have spoke with management at the store, and with the salesperson I dealt with. I've gotten no help and nothing but empty promises. I have now called to let them know I am returning the dryer. Now let's see what kind of run-around I'll get. I plan to file a complaint with the State Attorney General's Office. For goodness' sake.....don't deal with this company. Shady, shady, shady. Horrible, horrible, horrible. The longer I deal with these people, the more I regret my purchase from them. I made a purchase on credit. The items are great and the delivery guys were fantastic. However, every other aspect of the transaction has been a nightmare. It began with the salesman that could not type and did not know how to enter the sale (we were at the store for hours!). Then the corporate office calling regarding a late payment when they have never sent me a statement, coupon book or letter saying when the payment is due. Apparently, it was due yesterday - although I would not know because I never received any paperwork. The customer service person at corporate still wanted me to give her my bank information over the phone even though I did not have a statement. She could not understand why that would not be an option for me and insisted. I finally had to just hang up on her because of her sheer stupidity. The other problem with the company as a whole is that there is no option to check your account or make a payment online. What company does not have online payments? My recommendation, avoid Conn's at all cost. There are a number of other furniture stores in town that have better customer service. read more

Do your homework. You can find much lower prices and a much more flexible sales staff at competitors. At most other appliance stores, there is room for small negotiations to make a deal. According to management, their prices are set in stone even if you ask them to beat a competitors written quote. We literally saved $600 by walking across the parking lot for a better quality product and free delivery and set-up. The business model of this store is very similar to that of a Aaron's, or similar furniture rent to own place. Their business model appears to target clientele with bad or no credit. Also, staff and management seemed uninformed on product, and showed little willingness or ability to research and produce a package to meet customer requests. They claim they will do whatever possible to earn your business. Not so. They don't appear to have the structure or training to meet the needs of an informed consumer. Also, the store requires ridiculous add ons and will not waive delivery fees for customers who make large purchases. They also stated that me as the buyer would have to pay them $120 for them to hook up the stove because it must be done by a plumber, and they would not allow the homeowner to install it themselves. I am very disappointed and furious at Conn's. We have been purchasing items from them for years, and never has any of our multiple accounts gone unpaid, some late payments, but never in default. We have at least 4 accounts that have been paid off. I went into Conn's today to pick up a couple window a/c's. Total price $800, at the most. I have also been receiving letters, cards telling me I have $2,000 additional credit available. So I decided to take advantage of their offer. Not only did they not make good on their offer, they wanted a 30% down payment as well. I don't understand, we have bought a lot from them and this is how we get treated? I didn't appreciate being sent offers only to drive to Conn's, which is not very convenient to us, to get turned down. I believe we will payoff our current accounts, and not set foot inside Conn's. I would not do business with this store. First of all I noticed that Conns put an installment loan on my credit report that was not acceptable . I did not purchase anything from Conns. I just went to look around. The sales person Jorge said " that Conns would just run a inquiry on my report to see if I can get the 3 years no interest . I left the store so I could go continue shopping around like a normal consumer. I received an email from my credit monitoring service and realized that there was an open line of credit which I was again not aware of. This is shady for the company Conns to do. Which means it not only lowers your score but it looks like you are trying to open all these lines of credit. I called Conns to speak with Jorge the sales person to find why would he do that when I did not sign any paperwork for the loan. He gave me some lame excuse that this would fall off my report in 60 days . I was like what and why would Conns do this. So it looks like I have to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office under consumer complaints division. There is also the Federal Trade Commission to handle companies like Conns. Conns has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced in my life. Their warranty is just a piece of paper. When you call for help they automatically decline your request for them to honor the warranty and once I did get approved for a replacement the store manager refused to honor it and refused to call the person who issued the approval. I had to track down that person and try to get them on a conference call but every time I call I get a different person. I regret purchasing from conns(con artists). They lied about my loan. I was told if I paid off the item in less than one year my interest would not be very high. I've paid more than the minimum every month and even double some months. Fast forward 11 months $800 paid later, and less than $100 went towards the item. They lied to me. They added some bs insurance fees and other bs fees. The interest is more than originally quoted. I should have waited till I had the money in full to buy the item(a tv). In a way it's my fault for trusting these con men(woman). Please be carful with them. They take advantage of people. I have money and decent credit I was just trying to finance to save a little money. Lets just say I came to Conns with an open mind and left thinking buyer beware! We had literally spent weeks pricing and searching for a kitchen appliance package. We found many appliance packages from just about every store we went to, within a very realistic budget. We thought we'd give Conns a try as they advertised great deals and specials. Upon walking in, at this point very educated consumers, we we're meet with a sales person who despite their best attempts couldn't really understand our needs. We informed them of the price range we were looking at for a package (having known what our money could buy elsewhere) they seemed overwhelmed by the request and next thing you know I'm pretty sure every level of management was trying to figure out how/if they could even make it happen. Apparently, they have a 'no negotiations' on prices strategy and they're displayed pricing is firm. We told them to try and build a few packages within our budget and after what seemed like an eternity were provided with packages that well exceeded the budget we had in mind. After much talk, ending with the manager we were told "we can't build you a package here within the budget you have". Ok! We literally walked across the parking lot to their competitor and picked up a package containing the same/similar products some with higher features for more than $600 less! Don't fall for these guys' flawed strategies, haggling, high priced items and lack of negotiation abilities for major home purchases. The name is correct CONN's, just looked at the contract my wife signed for the credit on some chairs. 26.9 percent interest $195 dollars for life insurance just in case you die before paying them off and another insurance policy for any damage you may have caused their furniture before you die or they repo it. You don't really know a place until you have an issue that needs to be sorted out. Let me tell you how it will go down at Conn's. Aptly named. My $600 tv of less than 2 months completely stopped working. It was still under warranty but of such poor quality that the manufacturer just gave me a full refund at the store. I was in the middle of moving and didn't have the remote with me for the trade in. No tv in the store was same amount as my refund. TV's were less, meaning they make a $100 or more off of me or they were much more, meaning I had to play upwards of $200 to get another tv. Since I didn't have the remote they gladly took my money, kept both the NEW and BROKEN tv and I left with nothing and minus several hundred dollars. After a few days of looking for the remote while in the chaos of unpacking I went back to the store. They need to give me the TV, my money, or the other TV back. They tried to scare me into going through with the deal by telling me I would lose the credit. I told them to show me that in writing and got no answer from them. Hmmmmm, shady much. They refunded my money which took almost a week to process. When finally returning with the remote I was completely IGNORED by the staff. I had to carry the tv in myself and only when I was AT the desk did they offer to help me. I was then ignored for close to an hour while they did paperwork and tried to replace my tv with one NOT of my choosing. How insulting. As I type this no one has offered me a seat, a cup of coffee or any status update as to what they are doing. Guess once they have your money they don't give a care. I'm done with this place. Next time go to Best Buy, it's right in the same parking lot. I did give them two stars because moving here I purchased a huge amount of furniture and items needed for my home. There was no problem with those items yet but it hasn't even been 6 mos so who knows. read more

Would never buy from them again. Frame broke on sleeper sofa, Oversized chair frame broke and.the cover peeled off of it. When I contacted their customer service department about using my extended warranty to fix the furniture, they told me I waited too long to report this. Why buy an extended warranty if it is not valid? Don't waste your time and money. read more

Don't buy something from there unless you like getting harassed for being 1....yes I said 1 day late! I got 8 missed calls and 8 messages the second day late samething 8 missed calls and 8 messages....paid it that day.....I could see if I was a week late but no the calls started 1 day late and all damn day......My last purchase from there!!! Looking for a decent dresser, way overpriced and bad quality.

My fiancé and I have walked into this location twice to purchase a tv stand. The first time it was not in stock and were told we would be called when it came in. We were not called back even after we called to inquire back and left our information again. That was 2 weeks ago. We went in again today, and their inventory said they have two in stock, but when they went to pull the product for us, they couldn't find the stand. They offered to let us pay today and add on an $80 delivery charge, but we didn't feel comfortable having them charge us for a product that they have but can't find. We found the stand on Amazon form $100 cheaper and with free delivery and purchased it there. read more

I purchased a refrigerator right before Thanksgiving last year and in March we started hearing the ice maker thump. I called Conn's and they sent someone to fix it twice and still did not work correctly. By the third time that I had it repaired by the same tech he said there was nothing he could do but replace the ice maker (again) and he was only the tech. Now I must wait for it to malfunction again so they replace. HOLD UP! I started this review on 10/12 but hadn't finished 10/14 today I found out that the first service repair that was done was never recorded because done third party! WTF! I am done. READ BEFORE YOU FINANCE We have mixed feelings about Conns. We were moving and needed appliances (right then) so because of the "Yes Money" deal we thought we were lucky. We had a budget and at the time everything looked reasonable. Our sales person was great. However, I don't believe that the sales people know much about how to explain in detail about the financing to the customer. This is where conns gets their money. Months after we realized something was not quite right. We were paying way more than minimum payment and our bill was not going down. So we called...to our disbelief what we thought we financed for.... was not the case. They added to our purchase a financed charge $2000.00. After weeks of talking to people the math doesn't add up. Even if we were paying way more than the minimum payment almost 100.00 was going to the finance charge a month. To our confusion we kept on calling and their response was always " well your contract states". So, they were not going to do anything about it because you signed a contract. We felt tricked into this contract and the fact that this was not explained to us is very unethical. I don't believe our sales person even knew about this. What hurts the most is the reality of it all... if you are struggling, have no credit or have no money .... Conns will sell it to you but you got to pay twice as much. So if the item cost $1000.00. They will sell it to you... but if you finance with them by the time you are done paying it you will pay $2000.00 or more depending on how long you finance for. Do your homework. Obviously, if we knew about this we wouldn't have financed with them. So what was explained to us at the end was far from the truth. I don't blame our sales associate I blame conns for not informing the customer by educating their employees into doing so. Don't give your money away so freely. Find other options or save and then buy. But financing with conns will hurt you at the end financially. It is very unethical that Conns takes advantage of people that are struggling and more unethical not educating your customer when financing with you. I hope this review saves you the headache we went through and hopefully saves you money specially if you don't have that much to throw away. read more

I bought a chair from CONNS last year for mothers day. 9 or 10 months later, a part broke. It was still under warranty, so I thought, no problem. We had to wait over a month for a repairman to show up. He said he had to order the part and we would have to make another appointment for another service call. The part showed up at our house in a huge box. So, there it sat for another month, taking up space in our living room. Well, the "repairman" showed up and was not happy that the part WAS NOT assembled. He finally got it assembled and installed....and now the recliner DOES NOT CLOSE COMPLETELY! He sat in the chair and Said it sat fine, but now had to order a new motor. Seriously? Because it wouldn't close, it HAD to need a new motor. I sat in the chair after he left and.....IT'S LIKE SITTING ON SOLID BOARD. We immediately called him back and he said I have to call and make ANOTHER appointment. I then called the service dept. At CONNS and she said "Sorry but that's our policy". They have lost my business forever....GOD willing I get this corrected! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THE TO ANYONE OR EVER GO BACK! read more
