Yesterday, I called various massage businesses in the area to book a massage and coincidentally called this business. I was told that there was a 3:30pm appointment available, so I decided to book it. The manager asked if I had been there before and asked me if I knew the price of the massage. She proceeded to tell me it would cost $90 and said that customers usually tip ~ 18-20% which I found odd, given that I hadn't even gotten the massage yet. I asked if she told every prospective customer this and she said yes. Then I expressed that I didn't feel comfortable agreeing to a predetermined tip amount and would tip the amount I wanted to after the service. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that the manager didn't schedule my appointment because I did not agree to tip 18-20%. The manager proceeded to remind me that the last time I got a massage, I "only tipped $10" which is why they did not book my appointment. I pointed out that the notice regarding the tip that they kept referencing explicitly stated that it was a "suggestion" not a requirement (as is usually the case with tips). I was extremely upset because they did not communicate that my appointment was canceled prior to my arrival, and I had waited 30mins for this appointment only to be refused service. The manager and staff were very rude and I would not be returning here.

I feel like Karen has a gift that most massage therapists don't have, she can tell exactly what your body needs. I went to a guy in Framingham for my back pain three times. Every time I felt better for a day and the massage itslef kind of hurt. I just kept going back because I thought it had to hurt inorder for it to feel better eventually. Then I went to another guy who gave me a massage that felt really good. However it did nothing for the pain. I heard good things about Karen from a friend and thought I'd give her a try. Well I was amazed!! The massage felt sooo good, I felt like I was in another world. But to my surprise the pain was gone too! I waited a few days for it to come back and it didn't for more than two weeks, and when it did it wasn't nearly as bad as before. I didn't have to be convinced to go back, in fact I couldn't wait! She's very responsive to feedback, and adjusts pressure, location, etc. as needed. She's also willing to be creative in getting hard to reach or stubborn areas to loosen up - I never feel like she's just giving a generic massage, it's always unique to current the problems I'm having, and she adjusts during the session based on how my body responds. Additionally, Meghan is super strong! I like a lot of pressure, and my muscles are often very unyielding and hard to loosen up - Meghan has no problem getting deep enough to help. That said, if I have a sensitive area that needs a softer touch, she does that equally well. Her office is quiet and comfortable, and she's been easy to work with as far as scheduling, with weekend and evening hours. Her prices are in-line with others in the area and I feel her service is well worth the cost. She also does package deals, where you buy several appointments at once at a discount, which is nice if you plan to go regularly.
