Because I was training for a National Pole Fitness Competition, my body didn't have the opportunity to fully rest and recover. In fact, I can remember one night in particular the spasms were so bad, I couldn't sleep and was in tears. I was recommended Down to Earth Muscular Therapy by a friend and decided to give them a call as I was desperate. David saw me right away and within less than 24 hours, my pain went away, my range of motion increased and for the first time in a long time I was able to finally get some restful sleep. Each time I went back, the spasms went away! He combines stretching with deep muscle release techniques and breathing. He also goes as deep as the muscle will allow before it actually hurts as the muscle will fight back at that point. He also is patient and actually listens to your concerns. The space is so peaceful and nice - better than I expected given the "business" strip mall it's in. I was able to schedule a massage last minute, which was great, and was scheduled with Jenna. She was super friendly and respectful. And the massage was AWESOME. She totally worked exactly the spots that needed it, but also gave some attention to the rest of my body. I felt AMAZING when I was done and am so sad it ended. I've had a lot of massages - some fantastic, some awful. This was definitely near the top. I found that the pressure was perfect - once or twice it got close to being too hard, but never was. She repeatedly asked if the pressure was ok and never went over the line into too hard or painful. It's a bit pricier than I'd like, but that seems to be standard for massage places now. And it's cheaper than other places in the area that I've gone. If you buy a 5-pack or 10-pack, you can save a bit of money, too.

Availability is important to me as I often access these kinds of services when traveling. The foot soak time (20 minutes) is used for shoulder and neck massage. A bonus. Other customers shared the facility during my hour, nonetheless the environment was quiet, and the massage soothing. I asked for Ken, as one of the reviews suggested, and his hands and energy were strong; his therapeutic approach was apparent. Often, he asked questions about comfort with the pressure, and otherwise -- no chatter. Other reviews indicate that staff will question/challenge a customer who offers too low a tip, but I tend to tip well (20-25%), especially when people help me to do things I cannot do for myself. Foot massage is one of those. So, there was no issue about the tip. The woman working reception was surprised that I knew to request Ken, since I was traveling. But, I do read Yelp reviews thoroughly and carefully. The reviews make choosing so much easier. Angel Feet was definitely worth the money, and foot massage is rare enough to make this a destination. You get to feel better without having to undress! I hope this review helps other people access a therapeutic hour to help ease their days and travels.

Yesterday, I called various massage businesses in the area to book a massage and coincidentally called this business. I was told that there was a 3:30pm appointment available, so I decided to book it. The manager asked if I had been there before and asked me if I knew the price of the massage. She proceeded to tell me it would cost $90 and said that customers usually tip ~ 18-20% which I found odd, given that I hadn't even gotten the massage yet. I asked if she told every prospective customer this and she said yes. Then I expressed that I didn't feel comfortable agreeing to a predetermined tip amount and would tip the amount I wanted to after the service. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that the manager didn't schedule my appointment because I did not agree to tip 18-20%. The manager proceeded to remind me that the last time I got a massage, I "only tipped $10" which is why they did not book my appointment. I pointed out that the notice regarding the tip that they kept referencing explicitly stated that it was a "suggestion" not a requirement (as is usually the case with tips). I was extremely upset because they did not communicate that my appointment was canceled prior to my arrival, and I had waited 30mins for this appointment only to be refused service. The manager and staff were very rude and I would not be returning here.
