Not only did they break some of his items, they put him in a room with a man that the nurses were already aware had a problem with Turing the ac to heat and my papa sat in a 90 degree room (on a 103 degree day) Im not even sure when they actually moved him, his own nurses didn't even know what room he was in to tell me when I got there. I asked why he was moved and still, clueless.. I got into the room finally and my papa was basically unconscious, skin was soaking wet, I ran and got a nurse for them to only come in to turn the ac down and leave, not even check on my papa that I was showing concern for. Finally after 4 days of no changes, my mother basically had to break down in tears and beg them to move my papa to a cooler room, they had him moved in minutes. Just For him to be rushed to the hospital 2 days later for an exploded gi tube, and terrible infections that we didn't know about. my grandpa is bed bound and has early dementia, he isn't able to eat or drink, and his mouth was so cracked and bleeding and infected when he got to the hospital this time that the nurses where even upset. The hospital explained we should have had supplies to have been keeping his mouth wet atleast so his tongue and mouth would heal, but we never ever got any info on how we could help, ever. Only by the hospital, Didn't know we could do anything at all since he was not able to have anything by mouth period. His skin was so bruised it was actually tearing just by small moments and bleeding, they just said it was from the iv and his skin is damaged... So they just left his arm open wound, bleeding, and I have to call nurses back to come bandage it. As I thought that's what they were already going to do. There's been a lot a handful of times iv walked in to see my grandfather and he was hanging half way off the bed, saying he'd been yelling for help and no one obviously came because my grandpa is also paralyzed on half of his body and hasn't been out of bed in over 2 years, for him to have been able to lift his legs with big compression shoes on had to have taken him a while. Where was everyone?! My grandpa has gone to the hospital probably 10 times in this last year, and every time he goes to the hospital, he gets better. He goes back to this place and he's being rushed right back, and iv never seen people just not care so much. It's completely disheartening and my papas life is important, plz know this is someone's son, this person has people that love him and that he loves, he's not just another person laying up in the home. I think that should go for every patient there period. Also my papa had a seizure? We have no idea where or why or how, the hospital is even confused but his tongue seemed to have been bitten soooo I'm not sure but plz treat elderly with respect. They are souls, people, like I said- someone loves them.

Our therapists take a genuine interest in my son and I see it from all the other therapists as well. Our therapists keep us informed and give us advice and tips to incorporate at home. As for the three ladies in the office I can't speak highly enough about them. They are amazing. With so many children that come in for services, they greet each of us by name. They are amazinly patient when it comes to helping us figure out our insurance. They've called our insurance company before when they send in ridiculous denials for a claim. The girls have been so patient with me in helping us process our insurance. I treasure these people and appreciate their level of customer service, professionalism and friendly personalities.

My child is seen for 3 therapies: speech, physical and occupational therapy. The therapists are very friendly, and extremely patient with my son that has a very short attention span. He can be a challenge to keep on task, but he actually does wonderfully for them. He wants to make them proud, and play with them. They find a way to make learning fun. I appreciate all of the support, and progress he has made in just a little over a year. You can tell the therapists love their jobs. My son has made leaps and bounds with them. I cannot express how grateful I am for their services. He has been able to achieve so much more than I was expecting in such a short amount of time. I would highly recommend this place to any parent that has a child that needs a little extra "help".

At times it looks like they need more staff to keep up the amount of clients they have, but they some how make it through. They all try to genuinely make you feel comfortable by asking about you, day to day activities and family, that's really sweet and kind of them to get to know you and not just your injury they are helping you overcome. The experienced staff take the time to properly train their newer staff on how to do exercises and the reasoning behind it. they also make sure there is empathy and kindness behind their guidance too. Also, big shout out to Valerie for being a wonderful receptionist. Keep up the great work all of you, but of course within your mental limits. ^_^ Dr. Ely Ann Gonzalez is amazing! She's quirky, fun, super knowledgeable, empathetic, and overall helpful. I wish more doctors existed like her in the medical field. She may look young but her brain is wise. Dr. Gonzalez wants the best for you and really takes concern of your well-being. She is a breath of fresh air. My experience here was beautifully warming. I'm a shy person that doesn't do well in loud, busy environments, but here I started to feel a homey and accepted. If I ever need to attend physical therapy again, I know where I will be headed. -C. Weather it's Brian's sense of humor or his staffs genuine care, I always feel welcomed and cared for and not rushed at all. The CPL lab on premise plays games and does not honor insurance. Collects high deductible upfront and then sends high balance to collections agency. Drs Mr and Mrs McCurly are very competent. The medical insurance industry ruined the patient-doctor relationship and quality care. Why else would you pay $100 despicable for an annual check up medical appointment and then get $1200 for lab work.

First I went to my Gynecologist who couldn't find anything wrong and then to a Gastroenterologist, who also could not find anything wrong. After a lot of money and months of appointments and testing, I felt pretty helpless. Thanks to some desperate late night google searching, I found Lotus and decided to give it a shot, because I had nothing to lose. From the first appointment, I felt completely comfortable. The office is so cozy and welcoming and every person working there is so friendly. This does not feel like a medical office...it feels more like a calming retreat. Sarah and I had an in-depth conversation during my first visit, whereby she gathered a list of all of my symptoms and then promised me, if she didn't know how to fix it immediately, she would keep working until we found solutions. That was so encouraging after a lot of medical shrugging of shoulders. I knew I wasn't alone in this anymore. Each session we targeted two to three issues and Sarah would make adaptions based on how I was feeling that day. Every time I walked out of the office, I had just a little more relief and could feel my old self coming back. Some sessions, I left feeling significantly better. It took a little less than 3 months, of regular weekly at first and then bi-weekly appointments, and every single one of my issues was GONE! Not just better, GONE. We even addressed some issues she found, that I didn't even know were a problem. The only thing I regret, is not going sooner. If you're on the fence, make an appointment, because they won't leave you stranded to face the struggle on your own!

The new office facilities are SO nice, with relaxing private rooms as well as a good-sized gym area for exercise progression. I am also a physical therapist (in a different specialty practice area) -- so by nature, my expectations are going to be high. Holly and her team surpassed them all! I cannot say enough good things about this group and will recommend them to all expecting/new mommas and anyone living with pelvic floor dysfunction. Checking into the facility, I noticed it looked a bit old and had walls being repainted BUT it looked and smelled very clean. Despite this, I has my reservations about leaving my mom. It was the first time that we had been in a situation where we required extensive nursing care outside of our home. Then, I met Lela. She is a nurse manager at the facility. Immediately she sensed my apprehension. I expressed that I didn't want to leave my mom. She encouraged me and offered reassurance. She said, "Maybe the building needs TLC and we're working on it but, I guarantee you, the people here are the best at what they do and you're mom will excel." So, although I was hesitant, I left my mom, and returned the next day and the next day and the day after that.... What I witnessed was truly remarkable. Having been a patient and being a Nurse Practitioner, I can tell you that medicine isn't always kind...except at Sonterra Health Center. Every single staff member that the facility has amassed CARES for their patients. They take their lunch breaks in their patient's rooms if they notice someone feels lonely, they come in with a smile at the beep of every call bell, they gladly change out food trays if the least bit of disappointment is expressed. Every single person has gone above and beyond to support my mother as she heals. They even provided my mother with a volunteer opportunity to do some social service, which lifted her spirits. The testament to the staff was that when it came time to go home, she didn't want to leave! I will never use another facility for skilled nursing. Hands down, the best place!!!

I spent an extended period at Sonterra Rehabilitation Center, so I saw this facility from the…read moreinside. I want to be fair: the CNAs, nurses, and therapists were some of the kindest, most compassionate and hardworking people I have ever met. Many work extremely long shifts doing physically and emotionally demanding work. My criticism is not directed at them. My concern is management. I became especially concerned about an elderly resident who told me she was terrified of her roommate, who has Alzheimer's. She reported being physically attacked and waking at night with her roommate standing over her threatening her. She became so frightened of her room that she sometimes preferred sitting outside in the Texas heat. I personally approached the facility director, explained the situation, and asked him to intervene. He promised to look into it. Before I was discharged, I confronted him again and asked whether this woman's situation would actually be resolved. After leaving, I checked on her and learned that the problem still had not been meaningfully resolved. Sonterra later contacted me about my evaluation. I again explained the situation and was assured someone would investigate. I checked again afterward and was told that nobody had come to see her as promised. This particularly bothers me because this resident appears to have nobody consistently advocating for her. I cannot know why her concerns have received so little attention, and I will not accuse anyone of motives I cannot prove. What I do know is that a frightened, vulnerable resident repeatedly asked for help, I personally asked management to help her, and I still saw no meaningful resolution. During my stay, I also had concerns about the food, insects in resident areas, staffing levels, and what I personally observed as a lack of meaningful interaction between upper management and residents. My advice to families is simple: there are wonderful frontline caregivers at Sonterra, but advocate strongly for your loved one. Visit frequently, ask questions, pay attention, and don't assume management knows what is happening simply because staff have been told. I have written commendations for Sonterra employees who provided me outstanding care because good people deserve recognition. But vulnerable residents also deserve someone willing to speak when something is wrong. Every resident matters, whether they have money, family, influence, or nobody at all. They are human beings deserving dignity and safety. I tried repeatedly to address this internally before writing publicly. The MA perfectly gave us the right amount of humor & response needed as a new patient with nervousness and "what'if's" that exponentially were settled right away & the doctor came in the room with expertise & efficiency! He qued on me being a visual learner and promptly said "actually, follow me, I can show you the x-ray images" and I'm ever so grateful for that let alone the humor he showcased while vocally showing me EXACTLY what I was looking at/the situation. My only harp to say, the staff member who came in to do further images/x-ray's seemed to hate her job & was a 'wet blanket' of a personality but hey! We all have our moments & I know this field is hard! If you're looking to have a doc to sugar coat things and hold your hand 100% through it, this is not the place BUT if you want efficiency & accuracy with a splash of humor this is it!
