THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Renowned Dr. James Yue is THE orthopedic spine specialist to see in CT. His vast experience enabled him to determine his surgical decisions based on my previous personal health history, no cookie cutter surgery here. He took my pre-operative test results seriously to ensure my safety and successful surgical outcome. I had been experiencing increasing pain for 8 months prior to my double cervical fusion (C5-C6 and C6-C7) this fall and only wish I had it done sooner. Dr. Yue is incredibly skilled as my fusions were superiorly placed and am no longer in pain. I will continue to recommend him to anyone who needs spinal disorder related medical treatments. The office staff is always on top of everything, so the office runs like a well-oiled machine. I cannot be more grateful to Dr. Yue and his staff. Until next time..... read more

My story - four years ago I met with Connecticut Orthopedic Specialists to discuss my back pain. Today I cannot walk or standup without significant pain. I was operated on four times with various failed results. In addition, I have a chronic blood infection which I take an antibiotic twice a day for the remainder of my life due to the operations. This horrendous result has ruined my life. My doctor was Russo and the hospital was mid-state. My name is Richard Gerber and my email is rich874@Gmail.com read more

Worst experience at Connecticut orthopedist this morning in Branford Connecticut. I brought my husband in for his foot mind you we've been coming here at least two years. They're bombarding me at the desk with my husband asking me when I retired?. I'm not a patient here. I'm not seeing the doctor. How dare they? They're telling me Medicare wants to know? well if Medicare wants to know the Medicare should be contacting me as an individual. I will not be stepping foot back into this practice ever again. actually this office not the doctors. read more

Dr Kelley's assistant Daneen is the worst. Condesending, very short. Talks down to you. A very poor employee for an outstanding Dr. Doesn't return phone calls. Very poor people skills. read more

One week since I requested a referral to a pain management clinic with no response. You once referred to, "your license", when I have requested pain medications in the past and I have respected your concerns. Day five of interrupted sleep, multiple awakenings throughout the night due to chronic aching pain with little relief from OTC medications. I also continue to suffer throughout the daytime hours with chronic, dull aching pain exacerbated by walking and standing. I am writing this letter at 3 AM again due to my frustration and inability to sleep. My condition has improved but the chronicity of my pain has not and as a result, I continue to suffer in every aspect of my daily life. Please address this issue promptly. Thank you, James Shokite RN read more

Wow... I looked at these reviews. I hope somebody does before they come here. I actually went and sat down with a lawyer about my experience with these people. Seriously though people if you're looking for anything skeletal or muscular or any connective tissue attention, please reconsider. If you're lucky and God I hope you are, it might be okay. But if it isn't, do you really want to compound your issue with having to seek legal counsel? Pain and suffering after a failed procedure. Insult to not only your intelligence, but your civility? Please do your research. I'm telling you if I twisted my ankle stepping off of their curb, I'd be web searching, looking for a reputable orthopedic specialist. read more

First, the wait in the waiting room and exam room is toooo long. Waiting now ...it's 3:30 and my appointment was for 2:15. No doctor is worth that long of a wait. read more

First of all I don't understand how PA can call themselves doctors he's not a doctor my husband went to school for 26 years to be a doctor he earned the title a PA is not a doctor and this guy is kind of a douchebag he didn't have much to say except ice here knee and elevate it and just seemed unconcerned didn't crack a smile once you know didn't tell me if anything to do except take Ibuprofen and call Dr Kelly if I have any further issues. Oh and he was recording his visit note whilst I was still there trying to talk to him. And then he just walked out. Kinda arrogant and insulting, actually. read more

I felt dismissed and unheard through the appointment, which lasted less than five minutes total. The doctor told me what I already knew and did what felt like the absolute bare minimum of interacting with me before dismissing me and telling me I was essentially someone else's problem. The fact that he left the door open through the appointment was the first giveaway that he was not going to give me the care that all patients deserve. Leaving the door open was like a big red flag saying "I don't care". read more

Do NOT go here! Had an "appointment" for 5pm, was told there was a 30 minute wait. Waited for almost two hours, when the front desk announced that it would still "be a while". Worst experience. Wonderful experience with Ct orthopedic Dr Ruwe was a wonderful surgeon, and the staff was always helpful and kind. They ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. I am so glad I chose Ct orthopedic and would highly recommend to anyone. read more

Yesterday I had an appointment with Dr. Nelson. I fully expected that what he was going to discuss would lead me down the road to knee replacements. After 2 monovisc shots, Dr. Nelson had his nurse take some digital X-rays. Great news he does not want to operate! Normally, doctors will operate to get their money. It's refreshing after being to prior doctors who were pushing surgery, that Dr. Nelson prefers that I keep my knees and go to PT to see how much that helps! Thank you Dr. Nelson you lifted a big concern off of me. You are an amazing doctor. PT next stop! Hopefully the shots will last the 6 months! read more

Worked there for a month. Not a very friendly atmosphere. Rude employees. Some of the therapists spent too much time talking instead of listening for when their patients arrive or check the computer system. The place is too cheap to upgrade the computer software. Go any other place. They did not help resolve my knee issue. It is battle to get copies of your diagnostics to bring to another doctor.

The overall visit was effective and to the point, which I liked. Dr. Ferrucci was honest in the explainations about my condition and the options. I felt like the instructions and explaination of next steps was too brief but clearly clarified when asked. read more

Absolutely horrible experience! Went to Orange location. Was taken an hour and 15 minutes late while watching people who came in after me taken before me. Doctor spent maybe 5 -10 minutes with me at most and didnt even refer to the xrays I had taken. I plan getting my records and moving elsewhere. It's a shame because I really used to like the practice. read more

This group is over loaded with patients. The Drs are rarely on time with appointments. I waited over an hour and fifteen minutes once time to be seen 10 minutes, and charged $130. The costs fly sky high here, so beware. I ended up paying an $720 bill for x-rays, visits and therapy. Drs have to limited bed side Manor. I am looking for 2nd opinions currently. read more

Dr. Scanlon performed surgery on both my hands and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The surgery center has a great staff that made me feel comfortable at all times. This review is for the office in Milford at 30 Commerce Park. This is honestly the worst group of doctors, nurses, PAs and other office staff we have ever encountered. I would encourage anyone desperate enough to need an ortho group to keep looking and NOT choose this practice. They are unprofessional, rude, short tempered, untrustworthy and just about any other negative adjective you can think of. I don't want to get into too much detail but they treated my brother, who was in extreme pain from a herniated disk and sciatica with total contempt. They have no compassion and don't even pretend to want to help you. It was like dealing with a monopolistic bureauracy like the DMV who know you have to use them so they can treat you as badly as they wish. Horrible, frustrating experience. And meanwhile my brother is still in terrible pain, cannot work, and needs surgery, which they should have scheduled months ago but refused to. Please seek other practices - it is very difficult since this practice has absorbed most other orthos in the area, but keep looking. read more

These uncaring folks turned me away from urgent walk in care this am. They advertise urgent walk in care but yo it's just one pa on staff in the weekend. Save your time and just go to the clinic. what a waste. read more

Don't take my word for it; View all the negative reviews below. I bypassed a local ortho on a friend's reco to visit OrthoCT as "urgent care" and it was a nightmare. The PA was rude and dismissive, as if I was simply drug- or doctor-shopping. He sent me away in screaming pain with a Rx for an MRI. An excruciating week later, I got the MRI which read my 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th discs were herniated - the 7th has a DOUBLE-herniation. OrthoCT could only accommodate me another 8 DAYS later for follow-up. Did I say I was in excruciating PAIN?! Could barely work, drive, FUNCTION. Took my business and my insurance elsewhere. Now, I'm getting a well-needed procedure with pain mgmt and no narcotics. I ask OrthoCT, "Was that so difficult?" ADVICE: GO ELSEWERE FIRST! read more

Extremely rude and unprofessional receptionist named Lisa who would not let me get a word in edgewise when I was only calling to schedule an appointment and, I quote told me "Jesus Christ, you're not listening" as she kept repeating the same information over and over again. After what I have been through with this group (misdiagnosis of malignant tumors by a PA and whom the doctor eventually told us was "not intelligent") I am definitely taking my business and my insurance elsewhere. Highly unprofessional. Dr. Aversa must already be rolling in his grave. read more

Being former patient of Dr. Diana I would suggestion staying away from him. He performed to shoulder reconstruction surgeries on me which failed miserably. Of course he claimed all issues that occurred with these surgeries were all of my doing. When in fact they were not. I finally went for a 2nd opinion and found a doctor who pioneered various techniques in shoulder reconstruction. The new doctor stated I would more strength and range of motion because of the destruction done by Dr.Diana. I underwent 2 additional surgeries 1 to remove bone fragments let behind by Dr. Diana and the 2nd to try to repair the joint. I can't emphasize enough to stay away from him. I have dubbed him doctor Dick Diana. The whole group there are horrible read more

I wish I could give no stars! Horrible bedside manner. The doctor barely looked at me or listen or seem to care about my symptoms. I have had pain since an auto accident six months ago. Nothing more than a cattle drive! I would not recommend this group to anyone! Waste of a 40.00 co-pay and my time. read more

Wait time on the phone to make an appointment takes FOREVER. Receptionist was also very rude.

It is impossible to call there and actually get a civilized human being to answer your question and be pleasant. Nasty people that shouldn't be dealing with the public. Anytime I call there and whoever answers the phone, get a new job if you don't like it there. read more

Dr. deLott took the time to read what I had written about my previous exam with my general practitioner. He did a thorough exam, took x-rays, and explained my options for treatment. I called to schedule an appointment with a physical therapist and was told I needed to see an orthopedic doctor with their practice beforehand. No stars. This is a patient factory. I went to Dr Marino. Among other things, he did not bother to order an MRI despite my description of intense pain and neurological symptoms, he did not return my PTs phone calls. My last contact was when I left a message with his secretary telling him I was in a lot of pain and was out of pain meds. No response. Ever. I switched to my PCP, who quickly ordered the MRI. As it turned out, I had a herniated disc, which was resolved by surgery in my neck.. Marino did not take me or my symptoms seriously, he just told me i have arthritis in my neck. His secretary told me she forgot to give Dr. Marino mine and my PT's messages. I don't know what else she does that takes priority over patient care. There are lots of good docs around here. No need to go this group. The staff is rude and uncaring. read more

The office was extremely efficient and staff was very friendly. I had filled out the paperwork prior, it was sent via an email. I arrived about 20 minutes before my appointment and I was taken on time. Water is available in waiting room and TV was on. X-rays were taken first and I questioned why because I knew there was not a break. The technician said the doctor will want them. Dr. Cohen came in and introduced himself as David Cohen. In my opinion by physicians using their first names they are more approachable. He listened to my concerns and was able to pinpoint the exact spot where the pain was. He examined the strength of my arm and gave me suggestions on what to do and had told me it could take up to a year to heal. He also gave me an exercise to do and discussed two other option, cortisone shot and surgery if needed. He had said if if gets worse to call for another appointment but I needed to be patient with the healing process. An arm band was put on to help support the elbow. He was knowledgeable and gave all information that I needed. I was amazed the he was able to pinpoint the exact location of pain the first time. I highly recommend Dr. Cohen. read more

When I called to make an appt the girl in office was telling me that the best she could do was a wk away. I explained that my daughter was uncomfortable and told me that there was nothing she could do..with all these doctors?? Needless to say I kept appt. When we went in the office staff is not very comforting. We are here because we are not feeling well a little bit of a bedside manner would go a long way. We see Dr Diana and within 10 min my daughter was diagnosed w a form of tendinitis and treated w a safe muscle relaxer. He leaves room and tells his assistant to schedule follow up in 2 wks. Ok so we go back 2 wks later and I ck in and sit w my daughter and wait. All of a sudden the girl yells my name literally across the crowded waiting area and tells me she needs to see me at the counter and proceeds to speak w a loud tone telling me that we have a portion of an old bill that insurance didn't cover. What?!?? This is first time I'm hearing about this?! Then tells me that the Dr will not be able to see us today. What?? You turn away a teenage girl in middle of treatment??! Talk about an absolutely humiliating thing to do! Privacy?!!? Extremely unprofessional. I had to walk thru crowded office after being "lectured" by a girl that lacked professionalism. I told her that I would handle bill, that 100.00 wasn't a problem it's the lack of communication that is. I also said that entire waiting room could hear what is absolutely a private matter. She could care less and sent us on our way. Very unprofessional and major lack of care to send a teenager or anyone in pain away. Do your research before making appt here. read more
