Long story short, the crown was poorly built and had separated from the brick structure. This created a gap that allowed water to infiltrate the chimney. A well-built crown should last 15 to 25 years or more. Northeastern refused to acknowledge that their crown failed to meet industry standards and refused to refund the $1,100 I paid. They are unprofessional and untrustworthy.

I have taken some time before leaving this review in the hopes that the company would have taken…read morecare of the problem. This company came to my house on the request of CT MDC to install a sump pump in my basement. I had to be out of town and asked a neighbor to let them in the house. It is unbelievable to me that a company as this would provide such awful work! First they place the system above base flooring right in the middle of my basement. The reasoning was that it had to be placed close to an existing hole, but what was worst was the piping and plumbing and subpar electrical work that was attached to the unit. Picture below should provide a better description. I believe because there was no oversight, and since it was contracted by MDC and not the homeowner, they thought they could perform such shoddy work. I'm just overall dissatisfied with their work and would definitely not recommend their service to anyone.

Alex, the same employee of 3g as last year came out to inspect. He apologized and said he missed the top of our chimney where we had a creosote build up. Turns out he didn't go on our roof last year! Alex chiseled the creosote out (firemen told us it was 99% clogged) and Alex said the owner of 3g would be in touch about the needed repairs. Despite calls, 3g never came back. Our stove is disconnected and damaged. So is the top of the chimney. While we are fortunate not to have lost our lives, pets or house, this is absolutely unacceptable. We will be making an insurance claim at this point and I expect them to pursue 3g for damages.
