I have taken some time before leaving this review in the hopes that the company would have taken care of the problem. This company came to my house on the request of CT MDC to install a sump pump in my basement. I had to be out of town and asked a neighbor to let them in the house. It is unbelievable to me that a company as this would provide such awful work! First they place the system above base flooring right in the middle of my basement. The reasoning was that it had to be placed close to an existing hole, but what was worst was the piping and plumbing and subpar electrical work that was attached to the unit. Picture below should provide a better description. I believe because there was no oversight, and since it was contracted by MDC and not the homeowner, they thought they could perform such shoddy work. I'm just overall dissatisfied with their work and would definitely not recommend their service to anyone. read more

I've used this plumbing company several times. Each time the office has been very professional and The quality of service is excellent, they're on time, and courteous. I recently them when I lost my heat and hot water. They immediately sent out someone who evaluated the situation, and explained it to me. they came back the next morning, on time had ordered everything needed overnight to repair and heat and hot water. Everything is working fine, they were very clean, very professional, they knew what they were doing. The cost was very reasonable., I was surprised. These guys came in to install a sump pump and piping on behalf of the city of West Hartford. They forgot to glue one of the pipes and caused a massive amount of water damage and clean up for us. They admitted their fault but are now refusing to pay for the clean-up and our wasted time. Their owner, Greg Boisvert, never seems to be around. The city of West Hartford needs to stop working with these low-quality contractors. We're looking into legal remedies now that they refuse to work with us. Best bet, look elsewhere if you're considering these guys. Mistakes happen, but if they do, they'll do their best not to fix them for you and you'll find the owner "out of the office." EDIT in regards to their response: We did not receive a phone call on the day and time someone noted they'd show up to clean. We were also home, and no one stopped by. We were told someone waited outside our place for an hour, but we were in and out of the house with kids multiple times on our front lawn, and no one was there. Had an 8-9 ETA for work contracted through MDC weeks appt had been scheduled. In Hartford. Had a snowstorm that weekend I started calling from 730 all the way to 8:11am to see if there would be a delay. So my son didn't leave his house in Manchester to meet them if delay. No answer till 8:11am. Margaret then tells me I was just going to call you to tell you Trucks don't go out till 10am when it snows. I said that information should have been given at least an hour before appr time of 8am. She said appt was between 8am-9am. Still my son left Manchester at 7:30am to be on time to open door to basement. This is unprofessional. She hung up on me. I called back Margaret said. I will have someone call you back I said no. You need to communicate. She said she would not talk to me if I was shouting. Mind you I was talking to her in the same tone she was speaking to me. So we were both shouting. I said don't hang up. What I will do is have my son leave basemen door open workers can go in and do work and then please lock door when finished. I said please make note because before they left the door wide open after working after I had given them my telephone number to call me when finished so I could lock up. An MDC worker had stopped by just after they left and called me to tell me he was in basement I said wete are Plumbers he said no one is there and door was wide open. I called Boisvert to ask why this happened. They put me on hold and then came back to phone and said technician said he locked the door. So they are liars. I told MDC not to contract them to my property ever again. They didn't listen and now this same unprofessionalism happened again today. I found no issue with work but I am no plumber but the office needs some training on how to deal with customers and professionalism. And courtesy. If you Margaret left your house an 1/2 hour away to meet workers after a snowstorm at an appointed time and they were going to be late I think you would want a heads up before the appointed time that they were going to be late. Not after the appointed time. I'm just saying. I would never hire this company. However MDC doesn't have an issue obviously.​ read more

Third time I've needed to call on Boisvert and this was biggest job yet. We had a leak within our walls and Mike found it quickly , cut with precision and repaired an ongoing issue quickly without it costing me a bundle. Best and fairest plumber around. read more
