This was my first visit to Gailey Eye Clinic in Forsyth and I think they are great. The…read morereceptionist was friendly and helpful. It was around 2:30 p.m. and an average amount of patients. were waiting to see their doctors. It seemed they flowed in and out easily and my wait wasn't long. The tech named Jennifer who did my eye exams was personable and really nice. She was easy to talk to and fun to be with. I had to wait in the waiting room while my eyes dilated for about 20 minutes, but it was well worth the wait to keep healthy eyes. Dr. Joseph Harman was very well groomed and professional. I was relieved to know I didn't have a serious problem and hope to return next year for a recheck. Thank you Dr. Harman and your wonderful staff.. My only suggestion is bring someone to drive you home if your eyes are dilated. I didn't need sunglasses as it was raining today, but if it's sunny out take them.

Thomas Rohde MD

I love Dr. Rohde and all his staff! Caring, compassionate, friendly, attentive, helpful - I…read morecannot say enough good about them. If you want a doctor and staff who are committed to helping you be the best you can be this is the place to go. I learn something new every time I leave an appointment! For example, I had lots of knee pain and Kim Kish suggested testing my calcium level - and found I was very low. We added a calcium supplement and I got results quickly and my pain is gone! Wow, I had gone to a bone dr for the severe knee pain (I was limping) and he did tests, suggested couple rest for several weeks and then told me I needed to take an anti-inflammatory on a regular basis and I would probably still have pain at times and would need to watch my exercise, take it easy and ice my knee when in pain. Way better to take calcium and no anti-inflammatory! Honestly, I have gone back to regular exercise and pain never stops me now. Thanks, Kim Kish! I have also seen Dr. Rohde and can tell you he really listens to you - and he treats the whole person, not just one symptom. I finally got my husband to change to him and one the first visit Kim told him how to help lower his blood sugar by watching white potatoes, white bread and white rice. He's nowhere near deabetes but he listened to her and is taking her advice. His previous dr never told him anything like that. Another example that Dr. Rohde and his staff listen to the patient. And on top of all this, I never sit in the outer office or the exam room for an extended amount of time - usually in and out within 45 minutes. Will never leave Dr. Rohde and Kim Kish!

After my three visits concluded I got a bill for $436. I called in and the same girl at the front desk once again looked at my chart, said she remembered me, and that yes it was only $50 each visit so I should contact my insurance. I did, they said she misunderstood. I am now on the hook to pay the additional $436, which ends up being more than cash pay. No help was given other than a "payment plan". It feels like fraud to me.

George Liu, MD

I honestly couldn't have asked for a better surgeon. From my very first appointment, Dr. George Liu…read morewas calm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He immediately made me feel comfortable and confident that I was in the best possible hands. He asked all the right questions, listened to my concerns, and explained everything in a way that made me feel completely at ease and fully informed. What really stood out to me was how quickly everything happened -- I got a call on a Monday, saw him on Thursday, and had my surgery the following Monday. That kind of responsiveness showed he took my condition seriously and cared about getting me the help I needed without unnecessary delays. The surgery itself went perfectly. Afterward, Dr. Liu even thanked me for trusting him to perform it -- and that small gesture said everything about his character. His kindness, humility, and genuine care made a lasting impression. His staff was just as wonderful -- professional, respectful, and efficient -- and the office was spotless and well-organized. Dr. Liu also followed up with me twice after surgery. I honestly expected only one check-in, but he went above and beyond to make sure my recovery was on track and that I knew exactly when I could return to normal activities. That extra level of care gave me so much confidence and peace of mind. Dr. George Liu is truly the best-case scenario you could hope for in a surgeon -- skilled, compassionate, and sincerely invested in his patients' well-being. I would recommend him a thousand times over.
