But honestly the two women at the front deserve their own review. Between them they cover glasses fitting, frame selection, lens materials, insurance navigation, and scheduling, and they do all of it with a warmth and generosity that is just rare anymore. They treat you like a person, not a transaction. This is a practice that clearly puts everything back into patient care. You feel it the moment you walk in. I won't go anywhere else, especially not the boutique-y places that prioritize their lavish lifestyles over patient care.

Prior to visiting Dr. Neunzig, I received two very badly botched lens prescriptions from a different optometrist at a different company in Monterey. After two failed attempts, I was told that it was impossible to correct my vision. I thought it was crazy to tell me that it was my fault! So, based on my neighbor's recommendation, I sought out Dr. Neunzig. Boy, was I glad I did! He had no problem at all in refracting my eyes for new lenses. I have the new glasses now and my vision in both eyes is better than 20/20! I am beyond happy to be able to see clearly again! Needless to say I needed to go back as I wasn't satisfied for several reasons with the glasses I chose. Jennifer worked with me very closely, taking the time to figure out why I didn't like the glasses and what wasn't working so that she could satisfy me. She answered all the questions I had and helped me find the right frames that would work with my prescription. I was extremely satisfied, but again I think it's important to ask questions and ask for help.

I asked for a case to go with them, she said I would have to pay for the case! In the corner was a tiny selection of frames to choose from that are only covered by medical, that was a lie. Those are their glasses that broke twice. Two years before, I received a pair of frames that were not put in a little corner, that I still own, and are not broken, and came with a case. I am done with her and her disrespect of others.

I cannot speak on whether these comments reflect any management awareness, but as a patient, it made the environment extremely uncomfortable to hear what I understood and perceived as carelessly ignorant. Living in California for a long time, these were not words I expected to hear and very inappropriate for the workplace let alone a "professional" clinic. The rest of my experience here has been great; amazing doctors and aides who have persistently helped me through my slough of issues, which makes this all the more unfortunate. I will not be returning and would strongly encourage a refresher of basic empathy, inclusiveness, and client-sided professionalism.

I am super-impressed! I have to laugh at myself that I've passed her offices probably 1,000 times…read morewhile running errands, and I never realized how nice it would be inside. The front of the building doesn't look like much: it's an older building wedged in between a carniceria and the Cultural Arts Center (AKA, the old police station) on El Camino Real near Oak. However, inside is so nice and professional. The front desk staff are pleasant, and they know their stuff when it comes to insurance, etc. The other staff are equally patient and skilled with their responsibilities. Finally, the doctor herself is SO upbeat and positive. My daughter has had some bad experiences with eye doctors, so she was more than a little nervous, but that evaporated the minute that the doctor came into the room and greeted her kindly. The visit was prompt, all the new equipment made things so much easier for my daughter, and everyone was great. Greenfield is really fortunate to have this doctor and her staff here!
