One of the teachers, Jasmin, would fasten my son's diaper so tightly that the straps crossed. It left red marks on him, and I honestly think she should not be allowed to care for any children. I don't know how she sleeps at night knowing she did this to a baby at work. The only reason I'm not putting 1 star is because Stassia and the Rabbi are nice. However, because of Jasmin, I could not continue sending my child here.

Staff leaving after 5+ yrs of dedication due to a 50cent increase per hr was denied by management.

Despite our friends' recommendations against sending our son to this branch, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to temporarily enroll him, with the ultimate goal of transferring him out in a month, which was clearly communicated. My genuine observations are listed below: - While they claim a 1:12 teacher-to-kid ratio for 2-3-year-old toddlers, the ratio is more like 1:24 in the morning when we drop off the kids. - Due to short staffing, the teachers tend to leave some of the kids to cry after their parents leave for elongated periods of time, to the point that some of them turn purple. They are occasionally desperate to the point that they grab other kids' parents' hands to feel supported. - On his very first day, my son got a bruise/scratch on his nose, which took more than a week to heal. When we asked him, he mentioned another kid did this. We reported this to Discovery Isle, and they hand-waved and did absolutely nothing about it. - When I go to pick up my son in the afternoon, he typically sits by the fence, out in the sun, grabbing the pole and crying as if he's been in the jail and hoping I'd come and set him free. And the teachers don't seem to care much. That deeply saddens me. For the record, he's an absolutely social kid and doesn't have any issues making friends and/or socializing with other kids in the neighborhood or at the park. I think something is not quite right with this preschool. - The front desk assistant, Camille, needs improvement in her communication skills, especially in written communication via email. While I'm certain she doesn't have bad intentions, her emails are aggressive to the point that they may be perceived as insulting. She also needs improvement in her mathematical skills. I found multiple errors in the way she calculated tuition/fees, in terms of elementary addition/subtraction. - I requested access to the Tadpoles app. It took Camille two weeks to give me access after having typos in my email address multiple times. Believe it or not, my wife's name is still misspelled there, and they don't seem to have the analytical skills to fix it.

We've had so many wonderful teachers over the years. Holli in the walkers classroom was incredibly kind and patient and did such a great job teaching the little ones the basics. The staff was also a HUGE help when we were potty training because they worked with us to keep things consistent between home and school. My daughter absolutely loved Brenda downstairs as well. Now that she's upstairs, Corrine in the Teddy Bear classroom has been amazing. She is so patient and kind with the kids. Dayane, Patti, and Alexis are also current favorites in our house. They give us really helpful feedback about how her day went, and we love getting updates and pictures through the app. It makes a big difference to actually know what your child did that day rather than just hearing "she had a good day" at pickup. There have also been little moments that have shown us how much the teachers genuinely care about the kids. Dayane remembered my daughter's birthday even though it fell on a weekend and took time out of her own day to wish her a happy birthday. It may seem like a small thing, but as a parent, those things mean a lot. Kristin, the director, has also been wonderful. She helped us navigate the military fee assistance program, which we really appreciated, and my daughter personally thinks Kristin is fabulous! Whenever we've had something a little out of the ordinary going on with one of our kids, the school has worked with us incredibly well--from accommodating one of our children who needed a helmet as a baby to now helping our daughter adjust to wearing glasses. The facility is always clean, communication has been great, and they take the safety of the kids very seriously. Most importantly, we have always felt like our children are cared for and loved while they're there. After trusting them with both of our kids from infancy through the preschool years, I would absolutely recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a safe, loving place where their child will also learn an incredible amount.
