If you haven't affiliated for whatever reason, I definitely recommend Congregation Beth Shalom!

The Thursday morning service is also warm and intimate. 2. Often, members assist one another with birth, illness, and mourning through meal train. 3. Since joining Rodef, we have watched our children thrive in their vibrant Jewish education program and our daughter recently had a beautiful Bat Mitzvah there. Rabbi Kobrin, Cantor Saul, and the entire staff bring an energy and vibrancy to Rodef that few synagogues possess. On any given Shabbat morning you can find congregants of all ages attending amazing services and programs tailored to many different groups. This culminates in an amazing kiddish lunch that creates community and family. Their programs throughout the year are equally creative, welcoming, and accessible. We were left with Ms. Victoria-- he became very stoic and would not tell us about what happened at school. His lunch box would be completely empty everyday (I'd over pack bc he was a picky eater at the time) and he'd come home hungry everyday. Ms Victoria had our nanny in tears after she dropped him off and she said to him, "I guess I'll take you too" after greeting/hugging the other children in the classroom. We finally made the decision to take him out of this school when he was sent home with a dirty diaper everyday for a week straight. Temple Sinai was recommended to us by multiple people and I don't think our experience is reflective of the temple as a whole, but I would move with extreme caution in leaving my child under the care of Victoria.
