The pastor spoke for 45 minutes and for 30 of those minutes he spoke about himself and how he didn't pray. I'm looking for an uplifting positive sermon and not about the pastor. I have never left a church service feeling so down and disillusioned. I will not set foot in that facility again. Also if they would take the money given and use it for good purposes instead of spending it on audio visual equipment the community would be better off. Maybe the pastor likes his face on a big screen. Don't go!

I feel so welcome. I'm covered in tattoos and I do not feel judged in the slightest. I grew up in a very formal church setting and it was always distant feeling but when I come here, the messages are always so clear and precise and feel so personal. I adore coming here. There were periods of time when we did not go to church at all until rediscovering this one. The people are warm and friendly. The pastor is great! I do not day dream during his sermons! The music is beautifully traditional. The choir director has a golden voice. He is opera-trained. People often clap after listening to the choir sing. The passing of the peace is a meaningful event. (It is sometimes difficult trying to get everyone back in their pews!) There is something for everyone at this church ranging from youth activities, women 's and men's Bible studies, and adult Sunday School. We even have bagpipers from time to time! The love of Jesus flows throughout this congregation. I return home feeling as though I benefitted immensely from being there. Thank you, Presbyterian Church of Broomfield! I have been coming to St Peter and Paul for around 5 years, but only recently joined as a…read moreparishioner. I wish I had joined earlier though. This parish has been so friendly and kind to my family and I. The parish staff is incredibly welcoming. The Fathers and Deacons are all very kind, welcoming and have many relatable and inspiring homilies and advice to share. I have taken the baptism class with Deacon Scott and it was a lot of fun. My partner and I went into thinking 'when will this be over we have things to do after' to being so engaged and inspired we didn't even look at our phones/watches the entire time and talked about it for weeks after! Father Thuerauf is very smart and well educated, his homilies as well as his confession thoughts and teachings are some of my favorites. I mean honestly, who else can talk about tithing or penance and you leave feeling lighter, inspired and called to act. The Deacons are also really great people - inspiring stories of their faiths and their involvement with the church. I really enjoy hearing from them and talking to them. Monsignor Emile is brand new but SO KIND and welcoming. I am so thrilled to have him at our parish and cannot wait to learn more from him. My infant twin daughters love Monsignor Emile as he blesses them and interacts with them every time he sees them. In years prior I was part of the Catholic Daughters (COVID and my recent pregnancy/newborns thwarted my involvement there) but I hope to get back into the other organizations that St Peter and Paul offer. I am so excited to see more clergymen join us also at the church. I am really excited and of course praying that our great church will become even more strong in faith and parishioners in the years to come.

Love. Over the last…read morefew weeks, I've been looking for a spiritual home. I absolutely loved attending Living Water Unity this morning. It was a difficult few weeks in the world, with the earthquakes and tsunamis taking many lives throughout the notorious Ring of Fire. It was refreshing to have a minister not attribute the tragedies to the victims for "wrong" thinking (as happens in "fundamentalist" New Thought churches) or, as likely happened in many traditional Fundamentalist Christian churches, for not being Christian or the "right" type of Christian. Thank you for that, Rev. David Ridge. Thank you for offering loving reflection rather than a ready-made answer that condemns victims. Thank you for reminding us that no matter what happens, no matter where we are, God is with us, and all is well. Well said. Services are held in an intimate space, in a neighborhood at the corner of 59th and Vance. The church has a small band with a big voice that leads the congregation in song. The songs I heard were secular (Elvis Costello and Cindy Lauper) and sacred, weaving into the pastor's message. The congregation was warm, kind, and welcoming. Rev. Ridge proved approachable and generous. He has an easy smile and a warm handshake. I tend to be intuitive, especially when I can touch someone. This man is the real deal. Also, talk among members after the service was lively and fun. And, if you like cookies, the refreshments looked tasty (I stay away from sugar, but they sure smelled good), and there was plenty of coffee and tea to go around several times. It looks like they have a ton of activities each month, from "A Course in Miracles" to a monthly bit of theater (called Theater C), a writers circle (which, I'll try on Wednesday... can't wait!), and far more things than I can list here.
