I feel the need to update my review because the La Petite Academy I reviewed is much different than…read morethe one it is now. In May/June of this year my husband and I began to notice staff were leaving. I've come to learn high turnover of staff is common in this I industry but the rate this facility was losing staff did cause my eyebrow to raise a little bit. Towards the end of the summer the director was either fired/quit/or forced to resign. The assistant director left about a month later. Followed by more and more staff. I expressed my concerns and was informed they were doing their best at replacing qualified staff etc. My fear was the good staff they had left would become burnt out and/or overwhelmed with having to pick up the slack. The final straw for us was when my 22 month old daughter was left outside in the bigger kids playground for 11 minutes. Set a timer on your phone for 11 minutes, a lot can happen to a toddler in 11 minutes. She could have been grievously injured playing on equipment not suitable for her age. She could have wandered out the fenced area (which is commonly unlocked because the latch is broken) and been hit by a car. The fence is NOT a privacy fence and is about waist high, someone could have easily come and snatched her. She could have been gone forever and it would have taken them 11 minutes to figure it out. This facility is easily accessible to the public it's on the corner of a busy street who knows who could be watching at any given time. I was told they don't have maintenance on-site and there's a work order in to replace the fence. Well this is December and this happened in October. I was even told they'd been cited by licensing for this yet nothing has been done. What this tells me is La Petite does NOT care about your child's safety and would rather push this under the rug than spend the money to fix this problem. While looking at other daycares in the area I come to find out this La Petite is notoriously known as the "Black Sheep" of La Petites. As I begins digging around on the Colorado Shines website I find violation after violation going back way before my daughter even attended. If this facility is owned by a franchisee I cannot for the life of me comprehend why as a business owner you'd be ok with that reputation. Same goes if this is a corporate location. I even learned that other daycares around the community knew what happened to my daughter which aren't even affiliated with La Petite. I filled out the Learning Group (parent company) survey and at the end asked if someone from corporate could reach out to me after I was dissatisfied with the response I received from the new director and her regional manager. No one contacted me. I'm sure the "business owner" will come on here and give some manufactured response about how my feedback is valuable etc etc. I would like the thank the teachers who are left who protected my daughter and took care of her while she was there. We appreciate you. Maybe this location will turn itself around, or maybe it will continue to be "troubled". If I were you I'd steer clear.

I've only had my daughter here for two weeks but this facility has been wonderful. Management --…read moreMindy and Savannah were always responsive and helpful in answering questions quickly. In addition, my child loves her teacher Ms. Jess. She is pretty much her shadow now! She takes great care of my infant and has great peaceful and patient energy for her. The other providers have also been great with her -- Faith and Sarah. Thanks La Petite.

Our family made a lot of friendships here, in addition to deepening our faith. In 1991, a neighbor invited us to the Christmas Concert. There was so much joy and kindness we experienced from the people. The music and programs were spectactular. It was a tiny church back then. Through the years we've have many pastors. Each brought their giftedness. The church grew a lot during the Columbine tragedy, including the youth group that had several hundred members. Over the years, the youthgroup has remained strong. I wish I could be a youngster again, just to go on the trips they take. Even though it's a 'bigger' church there is a strong sense of community. It feels like family. Worship varies in traditional style or a contemporary style, depending on the time of year, and time of worship service. People of all ages will find what they need here. Give us a visit!

They make it very clear that they have been going there forever, almost like bragging rights. The lead Pastor, Todd, is a smart man, however, you almost sense that he is just there to be there and he can't wait to get his sermons done with. As a child, I remember going to church where the a Pastor and his family went out of their way to get to know the congregation and welcome new people, that is not the case here. The Pastors wife barely says boo to anyone and you just dont get that warm feeling from either one of them. There a couple nice elders, but thats about it. The only thing about this church that I can say is great, is the high school youth services and the childrens department. However, with a decreasing number of church members, it is going to be hard for your children yo make new connections because the numbers are so low. Also, another thing.that is good, this church does offer the best VBS in the area. So I would highly recommend sending your children to their VBS program and high school youth group. But other than that, I would shop around before making this your church home. The employees and leadership there just not good.

About 10 months ago we started attending Authentic Life Church, and it has truly been a blessing for our family. From the beginning we knew the best way to connect was to serve, something we had done at our previous church as well. My wife serves in the high school ministry and I help on the security team. Getting involved right away helped us meet great people and feel part of the church very quickly. We also joined a life group that has been amazing. The support, encouragement, and friendships that have come from that group have meant a lot to us. Authentic Life Church has been exactly what we were hoping for, a church where faith, community, and genuine relationships are at the center. We are incredibly grateful we found ALC and look forward to continuing to grow here. If you are looking for a church where you can truly connect and build meaningful relationships, I highly recommend checking it out.

The message that morning stuck with me, and what stood out just as much was how genuinely welcomed I felt by everyone there. After the service, someone recognized me from high school and invited me to Tuesday Young Adults Night. I showed up once and was hooked. The community there is genuine, the kind of people who make you feel like you belong from day one. ALC has changed my life. I'm so grateful I walked through those doors.
