However I found out Joshua's character when I told him I was upset about the killings in Gaza. When I suggested that Yeshua's teachings be followed in this situation, he scoffed at me as if he thought the teachings of Yeshua were ridiculous. He straight up attacked me calling me an anti semite (me, a Jew) when I expressed distress over the suffering of the orphans in Gaza and his social media feed is full of propaganda in support of tribalism, a genocidal state, promotion of war, not peace. I later saw him and his wife when they brought their son to a public meeting in Hamden to try to convince the Hamden City Council not to pass a resolution in support of peace (ceasefire). This person does not respect human life and promotes hateful tribal ideology which is the polar opposite of Yeshua, the Christ's, teachings.

Everyone was happy. The new building is spacious, modern, yet cozy. The congregants were very welcomming. The Rabbi (on the young side with 3 young children) seemed very affable and had a great singing voice. (I latter learned he had been a Cantor.) The service was relaxed and surprisingly engageing.
