As an avid mini golfer who's mini golfed in many different states, this place is hands down the best place i've ever been. not only is very well maintained but super unique. lots of water falls and pools of water. the most unique thing is the alligator sanctuary right as you walk in from the parking lot. definitely recommend. they have a multitude of other activities as well for kids. read more

I am deathly afraid of rats and we just wasted close to $100 on what was meant to be a fun evening out on something that was horrific! They need to disclose that since there are wildlife conditions that means local rodents may also be attracted to this type of landscape. read more

Such a great time for my dad's birthday. $55 for three people and took about an hour to get through. You can do a scavenger hunt for an extra prize but we didn't find one of the items. It also started raining while we were there and there's not much coverage but it didn't stop the fun. Took my son here for a one on one birthday trip for his 13th birthday. We opted for the Ultimate Safari. THE ULTIMATE IS WORTH THE UPGRADE. We started with golf and had so much fun laughing at each hole. Then we did the gem dig. My son and I have always loved gem digs so it was fun. Then we fed and held the gators and finished in the arcade. Shout out to Gauge who was patient, knowledgeable and helpful. He made our day such a fun adventure and we couldn't have done it without him. When I went home and noticed the Bible verse on the score card I shouted Amen! Good, clean family FUN!! Nice quality mini-golf place. I literally live like 2 blocks from this place and have been driving by it for a couple months now and finally got the chance to go play! The kids working the counter were friendly and informative. The course is 18 holes and takes about 60-90 minutes to get through based on how quick you are as well as how busy the place is (a.k.a. How many people are ahead of you and how quickly THEY move). The evening we were here it was fairly busy. For the most part we only had to wait like 2-5 mins max for each hole. there was one hole we had to wait for like 8-10 mins, not sure what the hold-up was, but i think it was because the group ahead of us had like 8 people. The holes are fun, cutely decorated and each one is very different. Easy enough for both kids and adults alike. In a world of Covid, this is a GREAT opportunity to go have fun yet be outside and fairly distant from others. Day or night- it's open!! They also have concessions (i think mostly just drinks, if i recall correctly) and they have gators/turtles to view. You can pay to hold a gator. They keep the small ones (under 4 feet) and swap them out as they get older/bigger. Cost was fair. Discounts for older folks. FYI - you do have to go up and down stairs and at one point you have to walk a plank looking thing, so I would say this place is not ADA/wheelchair friendly, just as a side note. Oh! One other cool thing: they have an app you can download, so instead of keeping track of the score on the little piece of paper with a crappy pencil, you can just do it on your phone! Great idea! Congo River is a nice place and probably the best in the Bay Area. The good... The course is challenging and finding the secret items as well as the spinner game options at each hole make it more challenging and enjoyable over regular putt-putt courses. The elevations, caves, and water features are really cool. You can also feed the baby gators which seems cool, especially if you're not from FL. The bad... It is getting pricey and I wish they blew off the course a little more as the leaves get in the way. Parking is plentiful and the staff have always been friendly and accommodating. read more

What a fantastic putt putt course! My Autistic teen son has always been insistent about going to the same course that we've been going to since he was old enough to putt. But when I showed him photos of Congo River Golf online, he wanted to check it out. It definitely lived up to our excitement and the pictures just didn't do it justice. While looking at their website, I noticed they offer the option to prepay online and save a few dollars. Your "tickets" are sent to your email and makes checking in quick and easy. They definitely try to push the upsells of feeding and holding their gators, gemstone "mining," the arcade, and the $3 bottles of soda when you arrive. They are located right next to highway 19, like RIGHT next to it. But other than being able to hear it in some areas, you easily forget you are mere yards from a highway. The course is heavily planted with palm trees and tropical plants. There are waterfalls and streams of water everywhere that are even incorporated into some of the holes. You never know if when your ball goes into a waterfall if it will be a cool passage for your golf ball or a trap you end up having to fish your ball out of and start over. My son and I both really enjoyed the challenge of the course. They also have a scavenger hunt you can play along with to win a scratch off game card for freebies and coupons. There's half a dozen items you have to find along the course, listed on the back of your score card. When you find an item, you write the number of the hole where you found the item. Get them all right, get a scratch off card. The ones they have right now are bad. They don't scratch off right and nothing appears. So, we didn't win anything but fond memories. This is easily our new favorite miniature golf course. read more

They were busy and by the time we left they were still busy. They have alligators, you can feed them, take pix. Etc. the golf was fun, beautifully designed and very creative! I enjoyed the theme of the course plus it was good mix of difficulty for the various holes. Another fun part was they add a scavenger hunt too and you can find specific items during your time in the course. On days we have nothing to do. We normally opt for a quick round of putt putt. As a family we enjoy the competitive play and being outdoors. The set up of congo river never gets old and my kids always have a blast. If you plan carefully, you can buy tickets in advance to receive a discount of 18% off. They also have an app to keep track of scorecards and the kids get a medal once they complete the course. The little alligators are also fun to feed and there's a small arcade on-site and an area to mine for once your all done with the games. The golf itself is fun and the course is pretty neat! The reason for 4 stars is the poor management of groups. My wife and I, along with many other families, spent most of our time waiting on a group of 12 to finish every single hole. They should do a better job of spacing people out or create a 2nd course to offset people, like many other courses do. Spending an hour of our time waiting was very upsetting, especially with how expensive it is! Overall a good experience though. read more
