Ben previously was on a league here a while ago so I'd stop in from time to time to say hi on my way home but I am personally not much of a bowler myself so it's best I just stay away from the lanes. LOL. During one of my trips back home to visit friends, we all got together to bowl, much to my dislike but time with friends beats all that. During our time Ben and my friend Lisa got into a pretty competitive race with each other on who was going to win and well now it is their thing to joke with each other about. While Lisa was down visiting us earlier this year, a repeat game was very much on their to-do list. Maple Lanes is just a few miles down 19 from where we live so I planned a night for us all to go. Lisa is from a small town in Michigan so she was blown away when our ordered items came over to us from a "server robot". She still talks about how cool that was. It just makes me laugh at things like this because it really shows the differences of what I left behind in Michigan and what things just seem normal to me now in a larger city environment. We all had a great time together and Ben was all too pleased that he still holds that winning title between the two of them. read more

Going to Maple Lanes in Countryside is so much fun. It's a nostalgic looking place that appeals to all ages. They have bumpers for the kids who want to bowl that you can turn off and on between turns. They also sell food and drinks so grab yourself a Moscow Mule and order some fried pickles! The street outside is currently under construction, so the entrance is a little bit confusing, but I'm sure it will be done soon. Great staff here and plenty of free parking outside read more

Haven't been to this place since before covid. Unfortunately the food is not quite as good as it was before. Steak Philly was good size but dry. Wings the sauce was great but definitely ask for them well done because it was cooked but not crunchy on the outside. Blue cheese definitely a step down. Our neighbors ordered a pizza and believe it or not that was the best thing we've had here. If we come back we will definitely order that the toppings were phenomenal and fresh. The crust itself not the best but the toppings made up for it. Good pour on shots and the beers were cold. Definitely give them another try. read more

Terrible prices. $75 for 2 hours, no matter the party size. Either that or pay for games, which cost $11 each plus shoes. One of the worst parts is sharing a table with other players. Played next to three guys who were downing beers and, vaping the whole time. We were practically having dinner with them when we got our food. All the workers seem miserable, and couldn't care less about their job. If you want a nice bowling experience check out Pin Chasers next to the Tampa Airport (TIA). read more

Nice bowling alley, but the girl who worked at the front register named "Hailey" was one of the all around most unnecessarily rude people l've ever met. From the second we walked in she acted like a completely miserable person. My friend had some food from the restaurant we went to prior, and without even explaining the rules she started rudely and borderline violently screaming at him to throw it away. I thought she was seconds away from junking over the counter. I completely understand that you can't bring in outside food, but all she has to do was explain the rules, no need to be rude and violent. We came with 9 people, and she refused to give us 2 lanes to play in until we asked a different employee. This bowling alley is great for the price, but I will never again give money to a business that has people like that representing them. If Countryside maple lanes knows what's good for them, they will fire Hailey ASAP. Absolute embarrassment of a worker. read more

We have been twice and both times had a group of 15+ people. We love bowling here. The people working are always nice. We had a large group and we had 3 more frames to finish our game and we only had 5 minutes left. They extended us for 15 minutes for free. The bar has lots of craft beers and friday night has some good live guitar music. The food here is pretty decent for a bowling alley. They have your typical pizza and other things. Ine cool thing is they use robots to bring you the food. It works pretty well and the kids love it. I always have trouble finding bowling balls with large enough holes for my huge fingers but here I always find one that fits. At 9pm they have the black light night bowling. The prices to bowl are very reasonable. They also usually have enough space where you can actually get it without much waiting. As far as bowling alleys go this place is one of the best around. read more

I've always liked this bowling alley but my most recent experience will keep me coming back. Sunday evening before President's day, I took my son and 5 friends. It was busy, but they were able to get us a lane and wipe everything down while we were still picking up shoes. I ordered enough food to feed a small army (or 6 boys) and to my surprise the service was fast despite how busy they were. The food and Staff were excellent! read more

We arrived on a weekday during summer vacation when the weather was a bit iffy. We had a wait of about 10 minutes for a lane. Not bad! Overall, a good experience. The staff was friendly and efficient, the shoes were a combination of colors that even my male brain knew didn't go together, screens for scoring and the lanes were clean. The pizza is so good. The crust is made from scratch, very glutenous. Not just good for bowling alley pizza, one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. Once I even picked up a pizza to go. Apparently, this is the place to be on a Friday night. When you think of bowling, do you think of old people bowling leagues and children? Fine, this place won't destroy any stereotypes, but the old people and children love these lanes! I often scour Groupon for date night ideas and stumbled across bowling. I like doing activities, so I bought it and figured my husband would rather deal with bowling than waste the money I just spent. Luckily, I was right and we found ourselves driving up to Countryside on a Friday night. I would classify this as your run of the mill bowling alley. It isn't swanky and hip, but it isn't dirty/fear for your life. It is right in the middle as slightly run down, but generally clean. If you think being average will prevent people from coming, think again. Almost every bowling lane was occupied! There was some contest going on, so that might have contributed to it. Also a birthday party was in full swing (again you see your old and your young). I don't think this is uncommon, however, so expect it to be full of life. I definitely prefer this to an anemic bowling alley, so I enjoyed the atmosphere. Besides, I honestly don't think it will ever get so busy that you'll have to wait for a lane. If you have younger kids, they have a super cute dinosaur shaped bowling ball helper. Basically, you place the ball on the head of the dinosaur and it rolls down the back to give it force to make it down the lane. Little kids can bowl too! They have an arcade area and a food counter. The arcade area is larger than I expected. We didn't check it out, but I saw some kids running in and out. The food counter offers the basics - pizza, popcorn, etc. This place is the epitome of A-Ok in my book. read more

We came in on a Tuesday night, it was league night. We thought we weren't going to be able to play until 10 PM but we only had to wait about 10 minutes. The service was excellent. And we were even able to do unlimited bowling for $11 per person which included shoe rental. Shoes were new and clean. While we waited we enjoyed the arcade, which is huge!! I took my employees here tonight for a team outing and we had a blast! the package we got was very affordable for what we received! The pizza was even decent ! Would do it again for sure! I'm just leaving this review to provide a little feedback for the company- everywhere is understaffed so I understand completely- but no one there seemed to know what my package included and we didn't get any condiments with our pizza or anything to drink, which also came with the package, when I went up to ask about the drinks, 3 employees saw me and ignored me - again they were busy I get it, at one point an employee asked me where my party host was and another employee chimed in and said they didn't have any hosts there currently. again, no biggie just wanted to provide the feedback. customer service goes a long way! An older bowling alley, but still a good place to bowl. Monday night is $9.99 "all you can bowl" and includes show rental. Get there early because the lanes will fill up. Fortunately, it wasn't too busy when we arrived, and we got a lane immediately. There were plenty of bowling balls to use, but the lanes were more greasy than I was used to. I had to wipe my hands every time I went to bowl. The televisions are dated, and the image shakes, but they have regular programming on TV sets in-between the sets that display the score, so you can watch sports while you wait for your turn. After 10 pm, certain appetizers are half-priced. I ordered a large curly fries and large tater tots for $4 total. They were tasty for quick fried foods, and they deliver to your lane when it's ready. There is a small arcade where you can pass the time. The attached bar does allow smoking, but it is secluded away from the bowling lanes. There, you can order alcoholic drinks and pitchers. Although it doesn't boast advanced technologies, but you can still have a fun night out at Countryside Lanes. read more

This review is only for Luckys which is the sports bar inside the bowling alley. From the moment we walked in we loved this place. Huge! So much room. And clean! We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by a very friendly bartender. She told me what ipa she had and I ordered one. When she included the price in her listings I was sold! He ordered a Long Island which was on the lot up board of specials. Included the price as well. Again, sold! I then had the giggle juice which was great. He had a grape something or other, lucky star I think. Also wonderful. The bartenders were great. They really made you feel welcome. They asked where we were from and when we said we are from here she smiled and said welcome and hope to see us again. This place made our day! I looked at my husband and said 'what took us so long to come here!?' He said he didn't know and that we are definitely going back. This bowling alley has been open for years and years and years.. I bowled here in middle school, when it was still legal to smoke inside.. 1980 something.. Happy to report that the alley has remodeled since then however the ceiling still appears to be the original, it's heavily stained and dusty. The lanes are clean, well maintained and appear to have the newest bowling technology. My kids like the trivia and silly facts that run at the bottom of the TV score boards. They have a bar, a small cafe counter serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.. typically bowling alley food. Nachos, pizza, hot dogs. Food you eat with your hands to grease up the bowling ball. The bowling alley also has a newly renovated arcade with some really fun games. The prices on the games are similar to other local arcades.. starting around fifty cents a piece. The games win tickets too. The prize counter at the alley puts the prizes at a certain mouse themed arcade to shame. It's also clean and well maintained. This bowling alley would get 5 stars from me if they would replace the ceiling tiles, for now it's a 4. read more

Currently here having a bday party for 20 kids and the pizzas are half late. The game cards have double charged us and no tickets are coming out on some of the machines. Thankfully this age group of kids don't actually appreciate the value of a dollar but I'm annoyed. The waitress is nice and offered to add a few dollars on some cards but unfortunately the kids are also of the age where they threw them out once they were done. Little help from the employees and no manager checked on the party. I am happy my kid is having a good time but I won't be throwing our next party here. If we come again, I can talk to management about an issue but right now, too many problems and too many kids to even bother. Facility is clean. The kids are bored though. read more

Two negative things I have to warn bowlers about, and an additional warning about the attached bar "Lucky's". First, the staff at the food concessions in the bowling alley is unfriendly, and unreasonably slow. Second, serious bowlers should avoid the pro-shop here at all costs. The two gentlemen whom work in the pro-shop will rush through drilling your ball - and if you try and explain to them that they did not drill your ball the way you wanted - they will convince you that the problem is you and not their poor work. If you are going to go out for a fun-casual night of bowling and aren't too picky, then this place is great spot for some cheap games, and always has lanes available, as long as no leagues are scheduled to be playing at the same time as you are. Be warned however, if you plan on purchasing beer from the bar located there - all the kegs on tap are old and stale. I have been there numerous times, and learned time and time again that the beer is always nasty tasting - I recommend buying beer by the bottle or mixed drinks instead. It is also worth noting, that smoking is allowed in the bar, which is not a problem if you are a smoker - but if you are not, you may feel uncomfortable with the large amount haze in the bar. Your clothes will smell of smoke, even if you just pop into the bar for a minute to order drinks. read more
