There is a sizable game room but games seemed overpriced to me. Kids loved it. All in all it's a great place to go have a nice time with friends or family but expect to have some delays during the game or wait times for other reasons and expect to shell out a good amount of dough for the games.

During our time Ben and my friend Lisa got into a pretty competitive race with each other on who was going to win and well now it is their thing to joke with each other about. While Lisa was down visiting us earlier this year, a repeat game was very much on their to-do list. Maple Lanes is just a few miles down 19 from where we live so I planned a night for us all to go. Lisa is from a small town in Michigan so she was blown away when our ordered items came over to us from a "server robot". She still talks about how cool that was. It just makes me laugh at things like this because it really shows the differences of what I left behind in Michigan and what things just seem normal to me now in a larger city environment. We all had a great time together and Ben was all too pleased that he still holds that winning title between the two of them.

After lunch, my son really wanted to come here, so we took him. I usually end up spending about $50 per kid for arcade games and that lasts them about an hour. My kids do run through money really quickly with arcade games because there is one game that they are just trying to rack up as many points as possible for prizes. I was so surprised by how few people were here at 1:30 on a Tuesday during spring break. It wasn't busy at all. I'm guessing this is not where families with younger children think to come, but being that my son loves this place so much it was a great idea. He does get around 2000 to 3000 points which then gets him some pretty cool toys. This time he walked away with a remote control helicopter, a sticky hand, and a foam glider. Just enough prizes that will keep him occupied now at home. This will continue to be a place that my son enjoys, and even though it is loud and there's tons of bright lights, it is a fun overall experience for the family since we aren't there for a ton of time.
