It was an amazing experience from start to finish. We were able to book online with no issues and were given clear instructions on when to arrive and where to park. We were checked in immediately upon arrival and had a nice bench in the shade to sit and wait for our boat to come back with the other guests. They also rent jet skis and seem to be a company that has several names along John's Pass. The price was reasonable and you can find discounts in some of the travel magazines. They also offer an early bird discount as well. We went out with two other parties and the captain and his assistant made us feel comfortable from the start. This was our first time and I just happen to be petrified of heights. Once it was our turn we were buckled in and off we went to a height that seemed a lot farther than it looked from the boat. The ride was smooth, the view was immaculate and the weather was perfect. I highly recommend this activity at least once in your lifetime. read more

This was a spur of the moment type of experience and one I will always remember fondly. Was on the dolphin tour and saw this as we went by and said to everyone, we gotta try this! So we went and decided to book an appointment for the next day. PRO TIP if you go to the entrance of the place, there's a brochure you can get that gives you 5 dollars off so why not. Anyways we arrived and it was a beautiful day. The staff was super friendly. We shared the boat with a few other parties, maybe 12-14 people total. Jordan, the guy who wasn't the driver but the one doing all the strapping and moving about the boat, was extremely pleasant and all around good dude. He chitchatted with me and made jokes to everyone, kept the mood upbeat the whole time. The ride itself was awesome, it's a sight to behold when you're up there. I would say we were around 350-400 feet up in the air? The take off at the beginning was the best, and the end when they dip your feet into the water was also awesome. Jordan also gave me a tip when I mentioned that i wanted to do this when I saw it on the dolphin tour. He told me it's better to rent a Jet Ski, the dolphins will pretty much come up to you. So that's another cool tip. Highly recommended experience and although it was a bit pricey (due to the timeframe), it's still something I would do once. read more

Such a fun time. Bryce and Will were both super friendly, hard-working, and enjoyable. They are great at answering questions and ensuring you have a good time. The trip itself is very fun with a gorgeous view of Tampa. Perfect for both thrill seekers and those who want to relax a little (in the air itself is very calm). They will also dip you into the water on your flight if you ask (highly recommend). For $25 extra you can buy a photo packet with is around 15 photos on an SD card they take of you in the air. You can also bring up your phone to take photos as well. Gators Parasailing also partners with a jet ski company nearby where you can get a discount if you do both. This was an amazing experience. Starting with the reservation process with Andy, everyone was knowledgeable, helpful and nice. We flew at 9:30 on a Thursday and the weather was perfect. Brice and Zach were the Captains and they made it such a great experience. They gave clear instructions, told us what to expect, and made sure we had a great time. Took my husband parasailing for his 60th birthday. He was surprised and had a great time. The crew Andy, Kelsey and Billy were fantastic. We went out with a few other groups, so there 12 of us on the boat (9 flyers and 3 spectators). Groups were 2 or 3 people and they were in the air for 10+ minutes and they were able to see dolphins, Sea turtles and manarays. Next time I'm definitely going up. I loved Gators Parasail because of their awesome customer service! They were very sweet, kind and accommodating. I asked them way too questions and they patiently answered all of them! We initially visited at 2 PM but then switched to the next day appointment at 11 AM because of high wind speeds. I preferred the 11 AM appointment because it was less crowded. The next boat after ours looked like it had a big crowd. The experience was amazing and our guides were super sweet, helpful and informative! They gave us clear instructions and made sure we had an awesome ride. Most importantly, I felt safe! If I ever visit Tampa again, I would definitely go parasailing with Gators! read more

I would give these guys 10 stars if I could! Zack and Bryce were our guides and they were super nice, funny, and you could tell he really knew a lot about parasailing and the equipment. I immediately felt safe once he started talking. My favorite part (aside from actually parasailing) was that everyone made me feel comfortable...I'm a bigger girl so I was worried that they would single me out for my weight. Not a single word. Gator's parasail was a wonderful experience. I went last week and the two men working were incredibly hospitable and likeable. I felt that this was both fantastic and important because who wants to spend time on a boat with someone who is boring or cold towards you? Unfortunately, I have experienced parasailing adventures (or shall we say nightmares) through a different company on the boardwalk and Gator's was a million times better. They take you as high as possible, are awesome guys, have a great boat, and a great deal of safety equipment which they thoroughly explain to you. Oh, and they give you a great view! By parasailing you receive a discount on jet skiing. You also get free parking at John's Pass. I cannot wait to go back! We booked the parasail on a whim and we are so happy that we did! It was the highlight of our trip. The online booking process was easy and when we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff. The crew was very professional and friendly as well. We even got my 75 year old mother to fly! She loved it! Flawless experience and exceptional crew Review of Gators Parasail Pending review First time ever parasailing. We chose this establishment because of past reviews/ratings. We were not disappointed. We were greeted by Andy who was so personable (a common theme with this company), friendly and such a wonderful person to be our first impression of Garos Parasail. It was also so nice that they had a small, FREE parking lot and we didn't have to waste time worrying about that issue. Bryce was our Captain and Kelsey his 1st mate? They truly made this experience even more enjoyable. They were knowledgable and gave us the do's and don't's quickly and efficiently so we could get to the business at hand. We really loved their sense of humor and chiding. It made the experience so much more fun than it already was and put us completely at ease. I also loved that they take you out far enough so you are away from everyone. I have seen some companies where you are barely off shore and surrounded by other parasailers. Awesome place. Very easy to book, friendly and professional folks. Andy was fantastic with booking and Zack & Captain Brian were very good, especially to us who were first-timers. This will probably be a highlight of our trip to Clearwater area. Just a heads up, there are few free parking spots right in from of Gator's Parasail. The one across is $4/hr and general shopping area is $2/hr. And when you book, have them email you the link for waivers, saves a lot of time doing online beforehand. read more

$75 per person is more than fair for their services. Staff is polite knowledgeable and entertaining. My wife was very scared to take the trip but they made her feel much better about it and we both had a blast. Trip takes an hour with about 10 people on the boat at once. You will spend about 10-15 minutes in the air and they will "dip" you in the water at the end if you like. It looks very extreme but is actually extremely calm and more like a hot air balloon ride than a speedy adventure. What made it over the top good was that the crew stopped on the way back to let us watch a group of dolphins that were playing with their babies for a full half hour. Another 5 star experience with Gator's! Billy and Bryce were our crew members. They did a great job of keeping us laughing and safe during our recent trip. We were able to see dolphins and sea turtles which made a memorable time even better. I highly recommend Gator's. We've used them twice for parasailing and they are efficient, kind, and keep you safe the whole time, even if you are just on the boat as an observer. BUT we did not receive the photos we paid for.. we received ONLY 1 photo of the other family who was on the boat with us. All, Andy the Manager did for us was refund the $25 photos.
