After this, we boarded again to go just a little ways down the shore to the snorkeling area. If you've never been snorkeling before, this is a good place to start. The water is pretty shallow, but we saw plenty of fish (different types and sizes), sea urchins, and a couple other funky looking creatures. Sadly, no manatees, but the dolphins being so close on the way in were consolation enough. If you've snorkeled before, this portion may not offer you much. Overall, we were pretty satisfied. Great weather, activities all seemed to go as advertised, and the price was fine per person.

Hands down the best excursion in Tampa!!!…read more Visited Speed Boat Adventures on March 25, 2019 and had a great experience cruising around the Tampa Bay, Gulf of Mexico and around the channels. We saw a lot of dolphins, manatees and expensive homes! The best part of was the view of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge! You travel approximately 20 miles on the water for over 1 hour!!! The water is pretty much smooth and barely a low chop. You don't get wet and the experience is amazing. The fee was $126 for 2 people and the owner and guide were very pleasant and accommodating. We saw the cold front coming in on Tuesday and Wednesday and thought we should do the tour a day earlier. They had no problems adjusting our reservation and getting us out on the water! The boats handled really well. You don't need to know much about driving a boat to operate these things. Pretty simple and they will explain everything to you before departing. Definitely going to do it again! Might suggest a frequent visitor card because of how much fun it was!!!

Really fun experience…read more My friends and I chose the 1.5 hour guided tour. The guide really let us go as fast as we wanted. We got to see all different areas of the bay. He took us through this interesting section with a canal that is between homes with a bridge that we went under. We got some time to free style play on the jet skis. We had some rain for the jet skiis but Rick was super attentive to us as we had our toddler with us who didn't love the rain.. he even got multiple pictures of us out there! The boat rental was the perfect addition to our vacation. It was clean, had a cooler for use and they gave us suggestions on where to go. We went to Johns Pass and it was beautiful, saw multiple dolphins too! Definitely will do this again!! 10/10 recommend.

It doesn't get better…read more Not often I write a review, but felt the need to given the above average experience. Went fishing Thursday 9/03/2020, 10 hour charter. I have lived and fished off & on for 20 + years in the Tampa area, but never been on this boat or with this Captain before this past week. I would rate my experience 5 stars & would go higher if they allowed me to. Booking process, simple & 1st class. Website, user friendly. People, 1st class. What to bring and what to not bring, pay attention NO GPS and its quite simple you will have a great experience. Captain and mate will hustle, use their 27 + years of experience and if you are as lucky as I was, will pull in a ton of fish and have a great time. On average we individually had 20 keepers to take home with us. Fish ranged from grey snapper, yellow tail snapper, black grouper, red grouper (several the 25-30 inch slot), to the porgies, and several I sure I forgot. What is a "lane" anyway? We did target the red grouper & really we limited out way to early in the day. (I think by noon.. I did not have my watch, don't need one, emails & such can wait). One "new" spot we tried produced greater than 6 red grouper "keepers" the 1st few time we dropped the line. At that point it became catch and release and we started to target the yellow tail snapper. We thought it was special that we few larger snappers hit but then they just kept biting. Listening to Captain made a huge difference. Quite simple, he has the ability correctly position the vessel on a spot, so you are getting hits within minutes of dropping a line. As gimmicky as it may sound, the 1st time a line hit the water, 2 fish hit the line on first cast. Kinda like the stuff you see in a video highlight. Oh, and it wasn't the last time we hooked two on the same line at once. In all 3 of us took home close to 60 fish. Gosh we must have thrown back a similar amount. If you enjoy fishing, want to learn, want someone that will bust their hump for you, you won't be disappointed. Just be prepared to listen. Captain has 27 years of experience. He asked me what we wanted and he put us right on the meat and taught us how to get it. The CAPT and his first mate were really cool and very knowledgeable. We caught barracuda, Mahi Mahi, lots of big grouper, red snapper, mangrove snapper, and so many others. Definite repeat!
